I do not know if you heard (I certainly hadn't) but Stamford, CT has suffered a disastrous loss of life....in Marvel Comics, that is. You see, per their series Civil War II 1 & 2:

Stamford, CT, eh? They must be talking about the West side...and other areas.. with all their recent gun violence.
Not a day goes by recently that there isn't a shooting or some kind of violence in Stamford. Speaking for myself, doing social and ministry work here is no picnic at all and I am always on guard against becoming a victim of some kind.
I shall have to investigate the 'etiology' of 'Civil War II's choice of Stamford as the focus of violence so rampant that 'superheroes' must be involved. I mean, they could have chosen Detroit or Hartford or some similar place where death by 'bad guys' is endemic.
I welcome your comments as we explore this together, either here or on Facebook.
What I won't do is leave this topic unstudied, unquestioned and not pondered, nor scrutinized.

So imagine our consternation to be reminded once again that there is a certain class of persons who--by the very essence of the fact that they are 'endorsed' by people like the Rev. Al Sharpton--are deemed to DESERVE SPECIAL TREATMENT. We heard this from individuals. We heard this from the press in their endless 'editorials' admonishing 'anyone not like themselves' (i.e. conservatives) just how 'in charge' of things they are. HOW DARE ANYONE NOT SANCTION WHAT THIS 'POOR MOTHER' DID? We were reminded that the Progressive Libs of NY and CT have every intention of doing things their way or the highway...their 'way' being the 'high road of moral superiority'. And the 'Tanya McDowell' situation is but one more reason why the TEA PARTY PATRIOT movement in CT is gaining more and more members, momentum and determination, for those who do not wish to consign their children and grandchildren to this 'status quo'! I've understood the 'dynamics' in CT for three decades now and have opined before on my history of 'civil rights' work all through my life up until this 'new age' of 'retribution and pay-back'. I cannot tell a lie and I cannot bear false witness. I cannot endorse what I feel in my soul to be an injustice. I will not champion one 'group' while vilifying another. And I won't be burdened with pseudo-guilt for something I am not responsible for. My philosophy of old age is, "It is what it is and why bother balking the majority while I am clearly in the minority? I can 'live and let live', fully satisfied that the Lord knows TRUE JUSTICE better than any of us humans can even pretend to comprehend-- a philosophy which has allowed situations like that of Rev. Al and the NAACP and Mom Tanya flourish unchallenged for quite some time now. ...Until a few 'little things' FLARED UP, that is. A big OOPSIE occurred for those who championed the cause of Tanya McDowell. She was NOT what she pretended to be. She was NOT an otherwise law-abiding citizen who in one moment of 'desperation' decided to 'steal' an education for her child. No. She was doing some really bad things and actively 'engaged her son' in scenarios revolving around her 'activities' and 'habits'.

So trying to make a 'federal case' over her child's education seems a little opportunistic--even for the likes of the NAACP and Sharpton. It is my opinion that the ONLY victim here is Tanya McDowell's poor little son...and that for having a crook for a mother who is being supported and enabled by a majority population in CT, that majority being the Progressive Libs. But ultimately, these Progressive Libs will be forced to deal with their own inability--in their 'altruistic zeal'--to recognize 'worthy causes' from 'non-worthy causes'. Progressive Libs--like the rest of us--will be held accountable for our thoughts, deeds, words and actions. As usual, I expect the NAACP and the Rev. Al Sharptons of the world to dig their heels in and justify their 'Tanya-McDowell-and-Tawana-Brawley-MOMENTS' as examples of RACISM and moan about all sorts of 'victimhood' at the hands of whoever their latest 'villain' is. So I have some advice for them: Save you breath. We've heard it before a thousand times to the point of boredom. Do a mea culpa if you have the strength of will and moral turpitude to do so. It'll be good for your soul. The very essence of 'the Connecticut paradigm' is a disturbing one, for those looking from the outside 'in'. This is a state which finds itself awash with skewed 'justice', racial inequality, confounded and spurious 'law making' (or attempts of the same) which is causing honest, tax-paying CT citizens a fortune. I took the above 'screenshot' today, September 29, 2010. In my efforts to redeem myself for what I have unknowingly promoted, I present the following here.
The UCC I belong to (for 22 years, but now on paper only) is the 'Wright/Obama' Church. It was not until June of 2007 at Synod 2007 that I realized how DEEPLY 'my church' was into racist politics and I didn't even know it. All I knew was that we were 'doing good work' at the Soup Kitchen and shelters and elsewhere in the community.
Truthfully, for many years, I personally carried much of the load--both as a church member, but mostly individually first as the founder of the "DO NOT WORRY WORKERS", and then with my healing ministry, http://www.dearoneshealingministry.blogspot.com/ . Until the current Pastor in Stamford, no one was particularly interested in dealing with 'undesireables'--I'll give Cari that.
But all she--Rev. Cari Jackson-is interested in is black, gay politics. Worse still, she's one weird promoter of all things Islamic:
I 'took the heat' for bringing blacks, prostitutes, drug abusers and the mentally ill (as well as those with 'dual diagnoses', i.e. being mentally ill and having substance abuse problems), into the First Congregational Church of Stamford, which is also known as "The Pilgrim Church".
Nowadays, things are very different, although the Sr. Pastor at FCC likes to 'brag' about 'this church built on a rock'...SHE who was brought in for purely political and fiduciary reasons only the United Church of Christ can truly elaborate upon.
I attended Synod 2007 in Hartford, CT at the request of FCC Stamford http://www.fccstamford.org/ and was astounded to see and hear then Sen. Barack Obama's FIRST PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN SPEECH at a CHURCH MEETING IN HARTFORD.
Everyone in the UCC DENIED IT, of course, but I didn't.
My intention is to atone for not recognizing and countering the rabid ANTI-NON-BLACK HATRED and RACISM promulgated by the United Church of Christ.
And I'm DOING IT through politics.... just as President Obama, the UCC and Rev. Jeremiah Wright have done for it their purposes.
All I write below...and indeed ALL of my current POLITICAL ACTIVISM is a result of what I saw at Synod 2007 in Hartford. Please do not dismiss me casually, for I have much to say.
As a member of the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS, here is my 'political testimony' regarding Connecticut politics.
Please, if any of you have the LEAST interest in fairness and equality for all, PLEASE listen to what I say and do your own homework.
Our state deserves 'better' than it has now. Yes, it's political. God forbid I should bear false witness in my new political venue, but I will continue to speak up against the corruption and injustices I see for all with the current progressive-lib Dem politics.
I am taking this opportunity to take CT TREASURER DENISE NAPPIER to task and I want her and her supporters to know where I am 'coming from' so that they may rebut appropriately.
Let's see how the 'outcast' from Stamford's 'BLACK GAY CHURCH' makes a difference.

Last Thursday, the Danbury chapter of the NAACP held it's annual gala at the Plaza hotel. From those who remember, last year's gala was a memorable event with the key note speaker had a few words to say about mayor and those involved in the racist email scandal (and who can forget Boughton running out of the room after THAT speech). Well, this year, with the economy on the minds of everyone, the NAACP found the perfect speaker who knew a thing or two about the number one issue in America...State Treasurer Denise Nappier.
With it being the end of the election season, the politicians were out in force. Most absent all Republicans running for office...for the exception of Mayor Boughton (who reportedly gave a rather cold shoulder to ARC member/immigrant rights supporter P.J. Leopold while at the table of Ridgefield First Selectman Rudy Marconi...very classy Mark).

I grieve for what is happening in this country. 'My church' (the UCC-United Church of Christ aka the Wright/Obama church) placed itself firmly in the national spotlight by sponsoring, endorsing and campaigning for then-Senator Barack Obama at Synod 2007 in Hartford, CT, which I attended.
After that experience, I became 'political' for the first time in my life!
Politics, race, sex, money and religion....NOT A GOOD MIX.
We don't need 'ACTIVISTS' to provide us with 'TEACHABLE MOMENTS'.
What we need are decent, qualified candidates like JEFF WRIGHT to represent ALL of us no matter what color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual-preference, age, health, socio-economic status, business sector, wellness group, education level, lifestyle, political-leaning, etc. group or groups we may belong to.
Twelve years is long enough for you, Denise Nappier, as CT State Treasurer. You've made inroads and you can rest on your laurels. But you need to move on to your next life challenge.

As the Cash Cop I had to share with you my latest video as soon as I could, because you are never going to believe what Denise Nappier is telling voters.
My opponent recently told a group of voters in Hebron that they should reelect her because, "...if it ain't broke, don't fix it." I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
More importantly, I knew that if I tried to tell people like you, who support good government and lower taxes, that Denise Nappier actually thinks she can fool you and other voters into believing that Connecticut's finances are sound, you'd never believe me. As the Cash Cop, I had to let you hear it for yourself.
Sometimes, in a campaign, there are opportunities where you need to let your opponent speak for herself, and this is one of those times.
Remember, Election Day is just over a month away. There are ways you can help this campaign:
1. Begin to make a list of 15 friends and family who you can commit to delivering to the polls on Election Day, and make sure you forward this video on to them. It is critical that they see this information.
2. Volunteer to help my campaign. We need help. There are envelopes to be stuffed, phone calls to be made, and Cash Cop stickers to be given to every person in this state who is willing to stand up to career politicians like Denise Nappier and say, "ENOUGH!!".
3. Write a letter to your local paper and encourage other to vote for me on Election Day. The more grassroots support we are able to show the stronger our movement will be.

Monday, July 19-Weekly meeting with over 35 in attendance. Everyone shared a bit about what has brought them to the table. They talked about events they have been at over the past week. The shared their frustrations, concerns and ways to get our government back on track.
And from The Gubernatorial Race Vetting Session-Round 1...
A couple of highlights-- Lt. Governor Mike Fedele joined us at 8pm to fill us in on his background and positions. He spoke of being an immigrant and a business man who knows how to create jobs. He know the personalities of current members of the state congress and feels he will be able to hit the ground running.
He backs the AZ immigration law. He will uphold the 10th Amendment. Race to the Top has merit and the state should continue to pursue funding.
He will pursue breaking the hold unions have over our ever-busting budget. Asked for the Tea Party support. Wants to see us at public forum sessions in Hartford and rallying when the likes of SEIU protesters push back. Promised to get the CT GOP chair replaced. Wants to form a quasi-public organization to market Bradley International.

There seems to be some confusion over which Tea Party is the main party and the one which we all follow. With this movement growing , more and more will show up and try to trade off of this name. The Tea Party Patriots are the major player in this movement we have over 2300 groups and millions of members. It is the movement which most people in our state belong to or identify with. Other groups which try and trade off this are Tea Party Express, Tea Party Federation, and Tea Party.org. Some of these groups pay large sums of money to try and get the exposure we get from our efforts. Further they do not all share the core conservative values of the Tea Party Patriot movement. No matter what your view of the Tea Party movement is, this is a dangerous precedent and we need to fight it or lose our freedoms.
TEA PARTY NATION exposes... A few days ago, Geek.com and others reported that the Federal Government had shut down blog hosting site, Blogetery. The site that hosted Blogetery stated they were contacted by the Federal Law Enforcement and had little choice but to shut the site down immediately. This action silenced 73,000 blogs!!!
Until this action occurred, none of us at Tea Party Nation had even heard of this site. We do not know what kind of blogs were hosted on this site, but we suspect they cover the range from personal to political.
This is why the Tea Party Movement needs to be involved immediately. The Obama regime has taken a very hostile attitude towards our First Amendment rights. Is this a dry run the government is taking to shut down sites that are critical of the regime?
We need to act.
Call your Senators and Congressmen today and demand that the Senate and the House investigate which agency shut this site down and why. Email your friends and ask them to call as well. We need an explanation and we cannot let the regime off on this issue. Along this line, Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan has said she sees nothing wrong with the government suppressing speech the government finds offensive. Given the regime’s attitude to the First Amendment, we must be vigilant.
Remember to keep calling the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee and reminding them to vote "NO!" on the Kagan nomination.

Having worked with Elena Kagan at the Clinton White House, Dick was inclined to see her as a political moderate, worthy of support as the best one could expect from the Obama White House. But no more.
Thanks to the work of the Center for Security Policy Director Frank Gaffney and the writing of Andrew McCarthy of the National Review Institute, there has emerged a compelling reason to vote against Kagan's confirmation as a Supreme Court justice: her support for Shariah law while she was dean of Harvard Law School.
Islamists are seeking to spread Shariah law by inducing American and European financial institutions to establish Shariah Compliant Funds in which their clients can invest. Exposed in our books Fleeced and Outrage, these funds follow the prescriptions of Shariah law in their investments. They routinely collect 2.5 percent of the principal of any investment annually for donation to charitable institutions, fine recipients of their investment 7 percent for transgressions of Shariah law (and donate the fine to charity), and only invest in projects compliant with the rules of Shariah.
Unfortunately, the decisions as to which investments are compliant and which charities receive their benefice are made by Shariah Compliance Boards appointed by the financial institutions that typically include radical Muslim extremists who routinely designate terrorist-linked entities to receive their charitable donations, and they also proscribe investment in any firm engaged in U.S. defense contracting on the ground that the contract could aid Israel.
Most major banks in the U.S. and Europe have established Shariah Compliant Funds, and they had almost $1 trillion under management by 2007 -- and likely more today.
At Harvard, Elena Kagan "proceeded to forge the law schools' 'Islamic Finance Project.' " Its purpose, according to McCarthy, was "to promote Shariah compliance in the U.S. financial sector."
Indeed, when Harvard's president, Larry Summers -- now in the Obama administration -- accepted a $20 million donation for the creation of a program of studies of Islam's history and Shariah law, Kagan raised no objection. The donation came from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a billionaire investor whose contribution of $10 million to the Twin Towers fund was refused by New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani because bin Talal had blamed the 9/11 attack on American foreign policy.
Harvard Law School now has three Saudi-funded institutions devoted to the study of Shariah.
Kagan, as a Supreme Court justice, will be required to rule frequently on possible applications of Shariah law in the United States. She has already noted that she welcomes "good ideas wherever they originate" and is open to applications of foreign law to the interpretation of U.S. statutes and common law. In fact, a lawsuit seeking to ban Shariah Compliance Funds in banks that accepted TARP money (as violating the First Amendment separation of church and state) is now making its way up to the Supreme Court. Kagan cannot be trusted to rule dispassionately on this case, nor can we rely on her to exclude Shariah law from American jurisprudence.
For this reason -- if for no other -- senators should vote no on her confirmation ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This should be an interesting group to keep an eye on.

By: Deroy Murdock The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) on Tuesday unanimously adopted a resolution at its national convention in Kansas City condemning the Tea Party movement as — guess what?— racist.
This is false, outrageous, and no surprise. The NAACP is like a talking GI Joe doll with a cord coiled into his back. Pull it, and GI Joe says something manly and combative. Pull the NAACP's string. "Racism!" squawks the shopworn voice. Pull it again. "Bigotry!" it squeals, as it has so many times before.
The NAACP once was totally justified when it decried the racism and bigotry that the Jim Crow South's Democratic-led governments mandated by law. In 2010, however, screaming "racism" sounds increasingly delusional, given that America is governed by a black man who voters comfortably elected in November 2008 and wished well, largely across the political spectrum, on Inauguration Day, 2009. The NAACP's original resolution sought to "repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties" and combat their supposed efforts to "push our country back to the pre-civil rights era." This statement reportedly was toned down, although it was debated behind closed doors and will remain unseen until the NAACP's board approves it in October. If the tea party movement really is fueled by bias, why did they invite a black man like me to address one of the first tea parties in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 26, 2009?
Why would these alleged racists invite me to rally an even bigger tea party in Manhattan on July 1, 2009? Did prejudice inspire them to let David Webb, a black man, organize that Times Square event, and also run the New York Tea Party?
Did racial insensitivity lead the tea party to showcase Congress of Racial Equality national spokesman Niger Innis, Project 21's Deneen Borelli, and other black conservatives and free-marketeers?
"In March, respected members of the Congressional Black Caucus reported that racial epithets were hurled at them as they passed by a Washington, D.C. healthcare protest," the NAACP's website states. "Civil rights legend John Lewis was called the 'N-word' in the incident." Americans still await video footage and/or to hear audiotape that proves these oft-repeated accusations. Reps. Lewis, D-Ga., and Andre Carson, D-Ind., were encircled by TV cameras, radio news gear, cell phone cameras, and other recording devices.
To date, none of them has yielded any sound or image of anybody lobbing racial insults. If such comments actually were uttered, the NAACP and its leftist allies would have played them repeatedly to embarrass and humiliate Republicans, conservatives, and the allegedly racist tea party movement. In fact, no one whatsoever has claimed conservative activist Andrew Breitbart's $100,000 bounty for any documentary proof that these supposed race bombs ever were tossed at their targets.
Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity on Tuesday night played video footage from four different news cameras that captured the exact moment last March 20 when Rep. Carson says "maybe 15 people" yelled "N-word 15 times" as he walked outside the U.S. Capitol.
"They started surrounding us," he added, referring to him, Rep. Lewis, and Lewis' chief of staff. "It was like a page out of a time machine."
None of these four videotapes shows anything resembling Carson's scenario.
"The camera never blinks," newsman Dan Rather once wrote. It does not hallucinate, either.
Consider the tea party's Contract from America, a pledge to which it holds its endorsed candidates (TheContract.org).
Among 10 planks, it advocates a single-rate tax, a two-thirds-vote requirement for tax hikes, ObamaCare's repeal, and the defeat of cap-and-trade legislation. Nothing is even remotely related to race, ethnicity, or identity.
Wouldn't bigots devote at least one of 10 reforms to something racial?
The tea party movement avoids racial issues and instead advances lower taxes and spending and greater fiscal discipline. These issues are neither black nor white. They are green.
