     Please excuse my recent extended 'absence', which has been due to Hurricane Irene'.  I've been very busy and will be, yet, for a while.

     But I have some stories, photos, videos and more to share with you as soon as things settle down.  I also have some 'comments' about CL&P's 'service' to the Connecticut Community, but all that can wait!
     Suffice it to say that with all the 'anti-Tea Party sentiments and vocalizations' being expressed by our brothers and sisters in UNIONS EVERYWHERE during this past horrible week and continuing now...we will certainly be having some vital 'discussions' in the days to come.
     Surely we TEA PARTY PATRIOTS will be asking why 'once-necessary and well-intentioned' UNIONS have become the 'new war mongers' (President Barack Obama's Self-Proclaimed ARMY, no less!) of the United States...clearly intent upon initiating and fomenting a 'civil war' in America.
     Yes, we have all been suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, only to emerge from this trying time scratching our heads, wondering why our UNION FRIENDS are so bent upon harming the TEA PARTY MOVEMENT.
     Persons of faith and peace everywhere wonder just what this new Progressive-Lib 'war paradigm' is all about.
     It appalls the senses and trashes the sensitivities.
     Tea Party Patriots desire unity, peace and justice for all in our fine nation--and we certainly did not expect to be met with a contentious, belligerent and aggressive Democratic Left commandeered by UNION LEADERS!
     Does our President Obama have no sense about these things?  Does he truly believe these tactics will work to get him re-elected?
     Does the President have no conscience and discernment about what is the best for America?
     Does he truly give his 'blessing' to the war-like TEAMSTERS and other UNIONS who wish to do us TEA PARTY PATRIOTS HARM?
     As we in Connecticut and the Northeast get our 'bearings' back, we shall examine these things.
     But at this juncture, the sum total of my responses is that I plead the following things of my fellow TEA PARTY PATRIOTS: 
     Do not succumb, yourselves, to the calls for WAR and WAR-LIKE ACTIVITIES against ANYONE.
     And do not resort to any of the harmful things that the UNIONS, as well as the CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS AND OTHER 'RACE GROUPS' have set upon us!
     Treat these people, instead, with decency and dignity.  Let us do as Jesus has told us to do and try very much to love those who would insist that we are their enemies.
     There is a very real opportunity to be a 'true pacifist' here for those who are bona-fide believers in our Heavenly Father.
     As I write this, I remind myself, too, to keep my self-control in check and to greet all 'BLOWS' in a supernatural way...with a Supernatural Love.
     This is all 'only' 'politics', remember.  It is in no way WORTH jeopardizing one's mortal soul as we wind our way up to the 2012 elections.
     This 'newfound hatred' by UNIONS and BLACK RACE GROUPS towards TEA PARTY PATRIOTS will pass in time, though there is no telling how severely they intend to wound us.
     But it will all pass!!! 
     And we--if we are worth anything, at all-- must keep our eye on the prize of NOT succumbing to the lowest denominators of our 'human condition'.
     We've got to 'keep it good' and 'keep things in check', while others unravel before us.  We must 'keep it together', for ourselves, for our children and grandchildren...and, most of all...for God!
     Young people are watching us.  And they will remember and be affected by just how Mom and Pop and all the adult role models in their lives comported themselves (ourselves) at this time.
     We must lead with 'love', first and foremost.

DARIEN -- A day-long search for a missing Darien teen ended at about 11:15 Monday night, when police say a family member found 16-year-old Zachary Gallo on Hope Street in Stamford.

Darien, Stamford and Norwalk police had been searching since early Monday morning for Gallo, who has autism and left his Hoyt Street home late Sunday night.

Sgt. Jeremiah Marron, a Darien Police Department spokesman, said Gallo was unharmed and in good physical condition when found by the family member, who he said was in from out of town.

Marron said police do not suspect foul play, but the incident remains under investigation by the Darien Police Youth Division.

Lt. Ronald Bussell, who leads the town's detective bureau, said Monday that the department and others searched the town's 13 square miles without finding Gallo earlier in the day.

Gallo, of 103 Hoyt St., was reported missing at 7 a.m.Monday after he was last seen between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

A police source said the boy left a note for his parents saying he wanted to harm himself. In the note, the boy said he was heading for The Cove.

On Monday, Norwalk police sent a team of officers and a police dog, who unsuccessfully tried to run a track on the boy near St. John's Cemetery, near the boy's home.

Stamford police Capt. William Mullin said Stamford Marine Police had also undertaken a search for the boy.

Police said Gallo left his cell phone at his home and was unable to be contacted on Monday.

Police have released a photo of Zachary Gallo, pictured at right.
"We have reason to believe that Zach is potentially an endangered at-risk individual," Darien police Capt. Fred Komm said in an email Monday. (Note from Rev. Barb: it has now been disclosed that Zach has autism.)
Police are seeking the public's help in locating missing teenager Zachary Gallo, 16, of Darien.
Gallo is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 185 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said he is known to wear his hair slicked back and his jeans rolled up to his ankles.
The teenager was last seen by his parents between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Sunday at their Hoyt Street residence, police said. He was reported missing around 7 a.m. Monday.
Gallo reportedly left his cell phone at home.
"Exhaustive efforts have been made by this department and others to locate this young man," said Lt. Thomas Krois, including patrols and K-9 searches of the area. Stamford and Norwalk police were among the agencies participating in the search.
Gallo attends school at Cooperative Educational Services in Trumbull. Krois said Gallo's interests did not point to an obvious destination for the teenager.
Anyone who sees Gallo or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Darien Police Department immediately at 203-662-5301.

Holy God:  
Please, we pray that Zachary be safe & brought back into the embrace of his loving family.
Impel all in SW CT and elsewhere to actively search for this precious child, that he be brought back home, well and unharmed.
Lord have mercy and see that this 16-yr-old be returned to safety and quell the fears of parents everywhere who live in dread of the loss of a child in situations like this.
Embolden us to act definitively, reminding us that we are not on this earth alone, for our brothers and sisters and their children are here, too!
We pray these things in the name of Your Precious Son Jesus Christ.
And we ask our Savior's Mother Mary to intercede at this moment...she who taught us that 'all life is precious'...she who never ignores the righteous pleas of mothers and their children.
In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit we pray these things-

 Dear Ones:

     YES!!! On this wonderful, beautiful rainy day, eight (8) proud TEA PARTY PATRIOTS quietly and respectfully held signs for passers-by to read.

     In a world where places like Texas and Somalia have been subjected to some of the worst droughts in history...how could we NOT love the beautiful, beautiful rain here in the N.E. that God has bestowed upon us?

     I said we were quiet and the only time we may have 'yelled' at bit was when some kindly drivers tooted their horns in support of us.

     In case they don't realize it, let me tell those 'horn-tooters' something: We appreciate your encouragement much more than you can ever know--especially in 'Progressive Liberal' SW CT!

     But rest assured, though Greenwich-Stamford TEA PARTY PATRIOTS may be small in number, our INTENTIONS are VERY LARGE.

     We want better lives for ALL people, not only in Connecticut, but all over the USA.  The beauty of Connecticut with it's diversity is that we are in a position to help ALL people here legally, both citizens and those hoping to become citizens. 

     We are in a dynamic state with the potential to really make a difference!

     From a pastoral stand-point, I say, "It is easy to be kind to those who 'like' you...but as a decent peoples--religious or not--the real challenge is to assure a good quality-of-life for all who love this country and are asking for help.

     That simply is not happening now with our current political leaders.  They haven't been able to provide people with something as simple as a JOB for years now!  CT has seen businesses driven away in droves for quite a while now.

     YES-Connecticut is a 'study in frustration' for conservatives and even for 'moderates' who aren't part of the 'old boy network'.  Yet I am encouraged at this time that we TEA PARTY PATRIOTS have the very wonderful opportunity to really make a difference and improve the lives of those in the Nutmeg state!

     WON'T YOU JOIN US?

     My precious 'plea' is to those who are no longer enchanted with the current administration state-wise and nationally.  Perhaps you will consider looking more fully into the Greenwich-Stamford TEA PARTY PATRIOTS and find out just what we really are all about.

     Predictably, we must 'do all things for ourselves' for the most part and that's okay. I would like to encourage all you 'honkers' to JOIN US at what will be regular Sunday peaceful and informative demonstrations in front of Stamford Library and other places to be announced.

     I promise you, you will make a difference--not only for yourselves, but for your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, too!

     My 'sign' reads, "LET'S HELP HEAL OUR BELOVED AMERICA!".

     I want a better future for the next generation and those to come afterwards. And that is why I am a proud TEA PARTY PATRIOT.

     In America, I expect that we each can define OURSELVES by our words, deeds and actions.  And I suggest that any 'pseudo-welcoming/affirming/inclusive' Progressive Liberals' GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

     Instead of proffering forth your own warped and corrupt 'version' of what YOU THINK the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS are all about...let's look at what is happening in our country even as we speak.

     We're 'broke'.  We're disenfranchised.  We're overly 'Obamafied' and it's time for a change.

     So if today's economic news has you down...if you are unemployed, still or again...if you are disgusted by what passes as 'acceptable' in places like Syria where the American Flag is burned and desecrated as so much trash....Just keep on keeping on with whatever you are doing with your fellow Progressive Liberal cohorts.

     But Heaven forbid you should THINK AND MAKE JUDGEMENTS for YOURSELVES!  The libs currently in power wouldn't LIKE that, would they?

     But if you've HAD IT, go to the Greenwich-Stamford TEA PARTY PATRIOTS meeting TONIGHT, details above.

     YOU can make a difference!

     YOU can stop the financial hemorrhaging of our fine country with it's ridiculous and dangerous political course under the leadership of the current administration.

     Or, you can just sit there and believe everything your beloved Progressive Lib Machine spits out at you about the TEA PARTY.

     You can just 'sit there' and believe all the 'global village hyperbole', while Chicago suffers Arizona burns and Connecticut goes bankrupt...Why should YOU care?

     But for all others, you know the drill: 

     Tonight 7-9 PM.  

     Whether Democrat or Republican or Independent, your voice needs to be heard and not just 'paid lip service to' by those with nothing more than their own selfish political ambitions.

     If you are tired of the politics of blind hate, check out the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS for yourselves and prepare for a very pleasant and encouraging experience.

     We are EVERYONE who values and cherishes the AMERICAN TRADITION, no matter who you are, where you are from, what political affiliation you have, if any,  what color you happen to be, what religion you either are or are not, what you do for a living and who your family was or is.

     I pray you, do NOT believe all the negative things you hear about the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS!

     Lies abound.  Progressive Lib politicos seek to hobble liberals and those with good intentions with fabricated stories about those 'not like themselves', which are unwholesome and patently UNTRUE!

     Please don't FALL FOR IT!

     We are all-together 'AMERICANS' in the best sense of the word and I ask you to join us, especially here in Connecticut where so many have 'lost their way' and become 'lovers of themselves' instead of 'loving others as they, themselves' would like to be loved.

     We know that all major religions of the world (and all dynamic 'life-paradigms') subscribe to some version or other of 'the Golden Rule'.

     This is part of what has made America great in the past and will, by the grace of God, make America great, again, in the future.

     Help with that at this time in history, won't you?

     Be bold, be brave and be relentless and you will be blessed no matter what your religious persuasion may happen to be, this much I can promise.

 Dear Jesus: 

      I appreciate the fact that you sent this apology for publication, and I publish it here with the understanding that I am one of those who has no stomach for anyone who poses as a warrior when they are not. 

     'Stolen valor/Impersonation' is a loser's game and is shameful, which I'm sure you understand in your heart by now. 

     Those who risk life and limb everyday for us in the United States of America...and those who actually sacrifice their very lives for us...are the ones to whom your apology should be directed--to them and to their families and friends, in fact. 

     We read,  "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13 (KJV) 

     If YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN GOD, Jesus, you will be strengthened by your 'namesake', our brother Christ, and NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE for you. 

     You will have the strength to 'man up' to your wrong-doing.

     You will have the strength to face your accusers, to apologize (this is a good start here) and you will have the strength and ability to convince one and all that you will never, EVER attempt anything like what you've done again! 

     Between God, your fiancee and your baby, you are surely blessed.  You already ARE someone special, Jesus...you just don't know it yet!

     You and your fiancee must earnestly pray together, and I will join you as I've promised, doing so as we remember what the Lord tells us: 

"¹⁹ “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. ²⁰ For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”   Matthew 18:19-20  (NIV) 

     Frankly after reading your letter, I find it hard to believe that you would 'be proud' for your child to know that his or her Daddy did bad things in the sorry excuse of 'supporting his family'. 

     YES, life is difficult and YES life is unfair. But many others have trials and somehow manage to survive, so why can you not do the same?

     You are only 20 years old, dear Jesus, and that is still young enough for some to 'want to give you a second chance' and let you continue on with your life as a much better person--a 'new and improved' version of you! 

     But you must make amends first and on top of whatever the court orders.  I suggest that instead of fleeing the country, you 'suck it up' and redirect your life here. 

     I would suggest that you get gainfully employed. Then VOLUNTEER to help out at a local veteran's hospital outpost, get involved in a group that helps military service members families or volunteer with the American Red Cross. 

     Contact your local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), DAV (Disabled American Veterans) or American Legion for information on how you can 'give back' and make restitution in a moral sense, after you have fulfilled whatever is required of you legally. 

     Perhaps your court appointed attorney can assist you with these things. Perhaps the law enforcement officials you have interacted with would also be willing to suggest some useful activities you can perform in the 'public service' sector. 

     True Christians know that they are duty-bound to forgive their brothers and sisters in Christ. Others may not be inclined to do so, but with time and prayer, perhaps they, too, will forgive your youthful transgressions. 

     I've been accused of being 'too forgiving' at times, but I will always choose to give someone 'the benefit of the doubt' unless and until things prove I oughtn't to.

     Are we not to forgive 'not seven times, but SEVENTY times'? 

"The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant: ²¹ Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”  ²² Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."   Matthew 18:21-22  (NIV) 

     Restoration of 'trust' takes longer, but, with time, that can be rebuilt, too. 

     And so I say, God Bless you , Jesus Garcia and your fiancee and your precious baby to come. 

     May the Lord Bless thee and keep thee...and may He shine His Face upon thee, today and always.

Dear Neighbor,
In March, we lost our pet parakeet, named Solstice. He escaped out of his cage, out of our sliding door and into 186 Field Point Road, near Pet Pantry Warehouse. He may still be alive, probably looking for people to feed him since he's lived with humans for nearly nine years.
If he lands on your shoulder or deck, pls. feed and take him in and call us. You can put him in a box or paper bag as long as it has small holes that allow him to breathe.
If he hangs out at your bird feeder or backard, pls. call us immediately so we can bring is bird cage to your home. Birds like Solstice see their cages as their homes.
We hope that you can help us find our dear friend because we miss him very much. We really want to be with him again.

Letter to the Editor;

It’s been 27 years since I left the Cove area in Stamford to build a home in Greenwich.


At that time, I Was past president of the Cove Neighborhood Assn., Co-Chairman of Citizen's For Neighborhood Schools and I was also a board member of CONA (The Coalition Of Neighborhood Associations.) My four children all attended Murphy School.


I say all this hoping that some in Stamford will still remember me, and will consider my recommendation to vote for, and support, Monique “Mo” Thomas, who is running in a Special Election for State Representative of the 148th district.


Even with all the massive buildings that went up and the large corporations coming to Stamford since I left; I understand that the taxes are proportionately higher than ever. Monique signed the no tax pledge to; “oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes.”


Monique, who is running as an independent, petition candidate, is the founder and past president of the Greenwich / Stamford Tea Party. I’ve known Monique for almost a year and have found her to be of good character, bold and courageous. Too many of today’s politicians seem to be spineless, not so with Monique; she is very outspoken, Anyone who knows Monique, will tell you that she is a fearless, tireless, dyna-MO.


If you’ve had it with people who make promises but don’t deliver, if you’re tired of voting for the lesser of the evils, if you’re concerned with government waste and high taxes, if you want someone you can depend on to be in your corner, vote for Monique Thomas.
