Whatever you may think or feel about the 'OCCUPY DARIEN' movement, I would ask you to have compassion for it's apparent leader/organizer Margaret Rague, who was recently arrested:

The news media have been 'rift' with comments, back and forth, between Ms. Rague and others.
Even a cursory examination of these reveals some very disturbing interactions:

We don't need this kind of thing.
It does Darien (or Stamford with their 'OCCUPY STAMFORD" or New Canaan with their 'OCCUPY NEW CANAAN' or any of Connecticut, for that matter) no good at all.
And it certainly is not in keeping with what should be the 'joy' of this holiday-time of the year.
So won't you please join me in praying for all involved here?
Please pray that those who are hurt and angry may know 'peace in their hearts' in the spirit of compassion and forgiveness.
Above all, do not contribute to that which seeks only to promote discord and tumult across our fine country.
At this time in history we should all be 'pulling together'! We should be seeing to it that those most 'at risk'--our young, our elderly, the weak, the poor, the hungry--are comforted and cared for!

"A Prayer For All Who Suffer Loss & Mourn In Norway" By Reverend Barbara Sexton 'Dear Ones Healing Ministry'

Please, pray with me now for family and friends and all affected by the recent explosion and shootings in Norway on July 22, 2011:
Dear Father, we know that you are Lord of all...believers and non-believers, alike.
Some of us have faith now...and others are yet to be 'gifted' with it. And sometimes it takes a tragedy like this for us to even begin to contemplate the frailty of our existence.
And so we turn to you in our grief over the Oslo explosion and the Utoya shootings.
We pray that you will help us to accept the unacceptable.
We pray that you will strengthen us to forbear at this time, to render help, to uplift and support those whose loved ones have fallen.
And we ask that you teach each of us, dear God, to be globally compassionate in a way which honors the innocence of the precious lives just taken.
Chasten us to realize how precious life, itself, is...and how, like a candle, it can be snuffed out in a moment.
Teach us discernment, so that we may detect and protect ourselves against those who wish us harm, yet live in harmony despite humanity's many differences.
And, finally we beseech you for peace of heart, for the realization that though the body will decay, the spirit carries on, so that we may learn to make our lives have value and meaning for the short time we walk this earth.
Remind us relentlessly, Father, that love is eternal and that to love we must always turn, no matter the circumstances--
And, so, comfort grieving mothers and fathers and sons and daughters, aunts, uncles, grandparents, brothers and sisters, cousins, extended family, friends and even...pets...left behind at this time in the aftermath of these terrible tragedies.
Surely the world you made for us is big enough that we might all live in harmony!
Do grant us these things, we do humbly pray, O Lord, with tears and fears and trembling hearts as we petition YOU in our individual and universal traditions...
which for Christians is in the Name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit

"Eating Food In Japan & From Japan-A Biochemist's Recommendations" By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

Dear Ones:
This is perhaps the 'easiest' piece I have ever written.Considering all available reports on the spread of radioactive fallout from damaged Japanese nuclear reactors, not only in and 'over' Japan itself, but also worldwide now, herewith are my recommendations for anyone interested in a biochemist's opinion:
1) Since radiation exposure is 'cumulative', those in Japan should NOT eat foodstuffs produced there, nor drink any water which is likely to be contaminated. This is easier said than done, I know, but the world community should help as much as possible with supplying Japan with the food and water it needs.
2) I recommend that exports from Japan-foodstuffs and drink-NOT be consumed by anyone, as well.
In a perfect world, all those in Japan at risk for 'long-term exposure' in 'hot areas' would be evacuated.
Besides the difficulties of the 'logistics'...not to mention the money that would be needed to undertake such an endeavor...there is another factor to be considered:
Many people, especially the elderly, are resistant to the suggestion that they leave their homeland.
And this is completely understandable, if not necessarily prudent.
Still, it would be a blessing if those who want to leave Japan's now-definitively contaminated areas-- youngsters, especially--did have the opportunity to do so.
The period of exile need not be a long one, necessarily.
It will depend upon how long 'clean-up' takes and whether or not Japan is subject to additional dramatic and destructive seismic activity, something no human can accurately predict.
For the duration, we must not forget that we are not alone in this world and that we are, indeed, our 'brothers' and sisters' keepers'.
If we can spend money miles away supporting populaces bent on 'destruction', certainly we can channel some funding to the 'brave and stoic' peoples of Japan who wish only to recover and...live and let live.

"A Prayer For Japan From An American: All People Of Good Will Please Pray With Me Right Now" By Reverend Barbara Sexton 'Dear Ones Healing Ministry'
Please pray with me right now for the people of Japan-Rev. Barb
Dear God:Please hear this prayer from the American people for our Japanese brothers and sisters.
At this time we come to you as your children around the world, fully united in our faith in you.
We pray for those who suffer and weep at the grievous losses in Japan.
Have mercy on this great Nation, with whom the USA has not always had a peaceful co-existence.
Fully unite us now as never before, Heavenly Father, in the forgiveness, reconciliation, love and respect that has grown between us, in a mission to provide for those most in need at this time with aid and comfort.
And let no other Nations on earth turn their backs on the Japanese people in their distress, we ask of you Lord, our Creator who controls all of Heaven and earth.
Please cut short the days of woe and misery for our friends overseas, that they may be restored to a moment of calm in order to properly mourn their dead.
Help Japan HEAL, dear Father, as only you can do, and help it rebuild and experience the blessing of rebirth.
Most especially help our friends in Japan deal with all terrifying nuclear aftermath, a situation which by it's very essence, opens old hurts, wounds and decisions of an era long gone.
We pray that you will imbue the brave and stoic Japanese people with the powerful strength of Spirit only you can give to any person.
In the traditions of our individual religious backgrounds, we pray these things.
Which for Christians is in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Dubai Fountain is a record-setting choreographed fountain system set on the 30- acre man-made Burj Khalifa Lake, at the center of the Downtown Dubai development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 275 m (902 ft) long and shoots water 150 m (490 ft) into the air, accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. It was built at a cost of AED 800 million (USD 218 million).
The name of the fountain was chosen after a contest organized by the developer Emaar Properties. The result of which was announced on 26 October 2008. Testing of the fountain began in February 2009, and the fountain was officially inaugurated on 8 May 2009 along with the official opening ceremony of the Dubai Mall.

Armed Gangs Free Muslim Militants in Egypt January 30, 2011 Associated Press
CAIRO -- Gangs of armed men attacked at least four jails across Egypt before dawn Sunday, helping to free hundreds of Muslim militants and thousands of other inmates as police vanished from the streets of Cairo and other cities.
The U.S. Embassy in Cairo told its citizens in Egypt to consider leaving the country as soon as possible, a display of Washington's escalating concern about the stability of its closest Arab ally.
The army sent hundreds more troops and armored vehicles onto the streets of Cairo and other cities but appeared to be taking little action against gangs of young men with guns and large sticks who were smashing cars and robbing people.
At least one Nile-side shopping mall in Cairo was on fire after being looted the previous day.
