From Rev. Barb:
God Bless the ASPCA and all Animal Rescue Persons and groups who care about our littlest creatures.
Terrorist threats against good people, by definition, include ALL members of our families--which means our companion animals, too, as well as innocent wildlife.
Please 'give hands' to those who take care to care for our 'furry/feathered/scaled' friends and donate to the ASPCA, The Humane Society, as well as to your local animal rescue shelters and organizations TODAY!
Do a '9/11 Remembrance'...and thank our Dear Lord for providing us with canine and other 'service animals' who protect and defend our very way of life.
Remember that many 'search and rescue, police, bomb-sniffing, military, prison' and 'other-sniffing' & cadaver dogs' are animal shelter 'cast-offs'.
And remember that these are the very creatures who detect life-threatening explosive materials...who help locate precious survivors...and who, finally, can help provide closure when the worst of all possible fates befalls an American family.
Then ask yourself just what it is worth to you to know that you can make a real difference by SUPPORTING THE ASPCA and all other organizations and people who labor to help you live your life in freedom and liberty.
No amount is too small...and no large amount can really be sufficient. The economy being what it is, we also we remember that another way to help is by 'fostering' therapy dogs and other shelter animals who simply WILL NOT MAKE IT if you don't kick in with your contribution.
Thank you for listening to my plea here.
I am humbled to have a very caring and sentient 'readership' who understand just how very valuable animals can be as we reflect upon the hurdles that face us on this 10th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.
Please remember the images of 'hero canines & their handlers' this Sept 11, 2011.
You can be a true blessing to them and their compatriots, even when others do not care at all.
With Love in Christ,
Rev. Barbara Sexton
