Here is a totally AWESOME picture of the Connecticut River in Middletown sent to us by a friend taken this past week, who says "The change in color doubled in just Sunday to Monday!"
Well, it sure has gotten cold suddenly! Here's something I've always sworn by: if the critters (squirrels and their tails, most notably) seem to have 'early' and particularly thick coats, it just might be a sign of a cold winter to come. So check out the autumn leaves before they're gone is the message. Just be sure to wear your mukluks : )
Thanks for the photo.
