And pray with me right now for those who serve here in Stamford and across the county:
Dear Lord, please bless and keep those who serve and protect us everyday.
Make us ever mindful that we are our brothers' and sisters' keepers and that we have a sacred duty to honor and support our brave Stamford Police Officers and their kindred Officers everywhere.
Let us understand that our support must include not only our dollars and gifts, but our prayers and spiritual support called 'thoughts' and 'good wishes', as well.
May we teach our children, by example, to respect and obey our law enforcers at all times and thereby insure a more peaceful existence in these days and the ones to come.
And most importantly, Heavenly Father, we ask that you bless, protect and keep our Stamford Police Officers and their loved ones from harm all the days of their lives.
We pray these things in our individual traditions which for Christians is--
In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
AMEN
