CANDIDATE VETTING page as available. Barry Haines, candidate for State Senate gave us an overview of politics in Hartford. McDonald, the incumbent is going to find it difficult to get re-elected because of his insistence on telling the Catholic Church how to run its business. And of course there is the over $2 billion in taxes he's voted for in the budget. Barry looks to set things right in Hartford. http://www.haines2010.com/ He's looking for your support to win the seat in the State Senate race District 27

MEET and GREET for Corey Brinson
running for Secretary of State
check out Corey at our "Vote for Liberty" Rally in March...

May 10th, (Monday) 8:00-9:00pm
SBC 131 Summer Street, Stamford
Hartford, Connecticut - January 13, 2010– On June 26, 2009, Republican Attorney Corey Brinson, 29, of Bloomfield announced his candidacy to become the next Secretary of the State of Connecticut. His vision for a business friendly Connecticut is refreshing news to businesses that work with the Secretary of the State's office.
As Secretary of the State, Corey Brinson will help get Connecticut residents back to work and encourage business development in Connecticut. Brinson has called for the end of the onerous business entity tax, which is a $250 tax imposed on all small businesses that are registered in Connecticut through the Secretary of the State’s office. Brinson has termed the business entity tax the “dream tax” because it is a tax imposed on a person’s dream to own a business. “It is one thing to tax a business’ profits,” says Brinson, who owns a law firm in Hartford. “In this economic recession, however, it makes no sense to burden a small business by taxing its existence without regard to its size or profitability.”
In addition to ending the business entity tax, Corey Brinson will seek to attract and retain young professionals in Connecticut by creating and chairing a young professionals’ state commission that will advocate for young professionals throughout Connecticut. “If we can have generous tax credits to attract and retain the movie industry in Connecticut, we should also have generous tax credits to attract and retain young professionals who are Connecticut’s future tax base and leadership,” says Brinson.
What is more, as the state’s Chief Elections Officer, Corey Brinson will serve as Connecticut’s “Chief Inspirational Officer,” and will inspire a new generation of leaders to run for local and state office. Corey Brinson will also work to ensure that all elections in Connecticut are clean, fair and free from partisan politics.
Since announcing his candidacy for Secretary of the State, Brinson has been traveling throughout the state "actively" listening to residents. He has received tremendous support throughout the state from both Democrats and Republicans alike.
