May 3rd (Monday) 8:00-9:00pm SBC Restaurant and Brewery 131 Summer Street, Stamford
MEET and GREET Barry Haines for State Senator
“Two years ago, State Senator Andrew McDonald, a Democrat, was elected unopposed. Misuse of power and harm to the community can easily result when politicians run unopposed. “Two years ago, local Republican leaders betrayed the Republicans of Stamford by favoring Bob Kolenberg over Barry Haines for State Senate while also allowing four Democratic State Representatives to run unopposed. Kolenberg then decided to not run. By default, five Democrats were effectively endorsed by the local Republican leaders.
“McDonald then had the political confidence to not only attack the Catholic Church, but to also support a $2.5 billion tax increase. Those who made this state of affairs possible cannot shirk shared responsibility for the damage that Andrew McDonald is visiting upon this community and state.
“Barry Haines, who fully supports traditional Connecticut values, has been continuously and personally active in the community to help right this wrong.
“Barry began walking door-to-door early last year. His focus has been on direct community outreach and the political involvement of grassroots citizens.
“Barry has an innovative solution for getting substantially more Education Cost Sharing (ECS) funds allocated to Stamford. No other Republican, including Kolenberg, has proposed such an innovative solution to this long-standing problem for the Stamford community.
“Barry’s focus is on getting the state spending lowered, under control, and making businesses and individuals want to be located in Connecticut. Barry strongly believes that lower tax rates, lower spending, a less intrusive government, and better regulations are critical for our community and the state of Connecticut.
“THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE VICTORY IN NOVEMBER IS TO ENSURE THAT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IN STAMFORD TRULY REPRESENTS REPUBLICANS IN STAMFORD.
