Dear Ones:
The clinic is 'ON' today. I just followed my own advice, for a change , and checked in with the City's HOTLINE number below (in black).
If you would like the H1N1 Flu vaccine (all forms will be available), this is a good day to get it. I promised an updated overview of things and here it is: "During the week of January 17-23, 2010, most key flu indicators remained about the same as during the previous week", states the CDC. Link: http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/update.htm This is a very good thing and it seems we are over the worst of the Pandemic here in the United States. But we have to remember that we still must contend with a projected continuation of 'the flu season' for a few more weeks to a few more months....at least.
Whatever you do, do NOT stop all of the good hygiene practices we have all been practicing, including covering coughs, staying home if you're sick, washing hands frequently and using hand-sanitizing gels often. Yes, those gels are drying to skin and can shorten the life of ones manicure/polish, but safety first with this 'still-official' Pandemic. We are are blessed to live in a country which is providing all with H1N1 vaccines for FREE for those who wish to receive it.
God Bless You,
Reverend Barb Sexton
