Dear Ones:
     Yes, the various images of the sun have been quite spectacular lately.
     Some might even call them 'beautiful', but only in the context of 'beautiful, but daunting'.
     The image above is but a minuscule reflection of the violent and tumultuous universe around us--a universe which, once in a while commands our attention, as it does today.
     Recent NOAA 'Space Warnings' pages have been rift with all sorts of bar, colors, stars and blurts, the likes of which we do not often see all at the same time.

     Surely most of us know by now that 'something's up' because even the popular media has picked up on 'news of the sun'.  We ALL want to know what is going on. 
     Well, for a while now, I've been providing space weather 'Tutorials' in an effort to prepare readers for what we are now witnessing.
     Just click on the keyword 'Tutorials' below and you can easily bring yourselves up-to-date.

     Considering that things will be ratcheting up to a solar activity crescendo sometime in 2014, it might be worth your while to save as reference the links and information I have posted for you here over the past few years.

     What we are witnessing now is the result of a so-called 'solar minimum', wherein the sun's activity becomes 'dimished' overall, on the large-scale of things.
     But, when the sun DOES erupt, the 'show' is more profound than it would be during a 'normal cycle'.  
     Experts tell us that 'solar minimums' come around every one hundred years, or so.

     As such, satellite transmissions will be affected/disrupted due to the increased 'proton storm activity' as charted below due to solar activity right now:

     Dolphins and other creatures whose navigating systems are dependent upon a 'constant, reliable earth's magnetic field' are being beached and otherwise detoured.
     I suspect that migrating birds and other species will also exhibit atypical behaviors and patterns, as well.
     The reason for this is that our planets magnetic field has been 'jogged', but good, as a result of all the solar energy affecting not only the earth's atmosphere, but the earth, itself, as well:

     Additionally, radiation levels at high altitudes will be higher than normal, to the point that air travel patterns will be altered.
     Radio 'bursts' will affect our radio transmissions.  We can expect interruptions in cell phone and computer services.
     And finally, we must prepare ourselves for extremes of weather on earth due to the impact of all this on-going solar flare energy on planet earth.
     Just how this will manifest is not always predictable and we cannot always specifically know, although educated guesses can be made.
     We would do well to be on the lookout for volcanic, tornadic, tsunamic, and seismic activity, most likely coupled with fierce rain, snow, wind, flooding, dust and other weather-related 'events'.
     Below is a 'look' at solar 'wind' at the present time.  You should be aware that there is always a lag-period of from 2-5 days (approx.) between the time energy-in all of it's manifestations--'flares' off the sun, and the moment when it impacts the earth's atmosphere and then earth, itself.

     Oh, boy.  We will need a lot of healing here, as we consider the simple question:
     Is Tim Tebow gay?

     I feel this is his business, but anti-Christian bigots' are attacking poor Tim for his Christianity by attempting to 'out' him online.

     I wonder what 'Hammerman Jews' have to say about about this?

     Do they believe it will 'help' their 'gay marriage industry' somehow?

     This seems like pretty poor treatment at the hands of the LGBT community of 'one of their own', if their assertions are correct about Tebow.

     But I believe (hope) these LGBT Christianophobes are relatively few in number and are merely 'guessing' about Tim's sexual orientation, which they are using as justification to taunt and be cruel to him as only they can be to their 'own'.

     I've seen something akin to this before in churches--gays attempting to 'out' closeted gays in order to fatten their ranks for one socio-political reason or others--thinking this was 'okay'.

     Well, it wasn't okay and some people needed to be protected.

     And this public bullying is over the top, in my opinion.

     Coincidence?  I don't know.

     But circumstantially, at least,  it looks like Tim's 'outing' by the LGBT community is intended to serve as his 'punishment' for being 'too religious'.

     This is horrible.  And while I feel sorry for decent gays who do NOT engage in this type of thing with their brothers and sisters IN the religious community...and outside of it...I also believe it is incumbent upon them to make things right-

     Unless this is merely what now passes as 'acceptable' amongst Progressive Liberals in America today.

     I've written a number of pieces already on this and will be addressing Rabbi Hammerman's unhealthy and cruel obsession with Tim Tebow's mother and her apparently 'at-risk' pregnancy.
     I have a strong stomach, but Rabbi Josh's 'spiritual commentary' (as if he had a prayer) for Tim Tebow's mom chills me to the bone.
     How dare a man...let alone a Jewish clergyman...'pontificate' to a Christian woman who is carrying and already in love with her unborn child, about whether or not her child is worth 'saving'?
     I have a friend whose mother was told in the eighth month of pregnancy that her child 'had a big, boxy head'.  His mother was inclined to follow 'doctors' orders and have a late-term abortion.
     Fortunately for my friend, his Aunt (his mother's sister) intervened and my friend was born...
     And, yes, with a 'big, boxy head'.  But he is alive and is a wonderful, able and super intelligent person!
     For now, focus on the Rabbi's Christianophobia, which alone is cause for concern.  But as you read about this burgeoning story, please remember what you have read here and that those who intend to do 'evil' are attempting to purge all this from the Internet.
     Who can blame them?  But I, for one, don't want to see that happen.

     No doubt about it.  This is one case where no ministry IN THE WORLD can begin any healing before the repugnant pimple of prejudice is 'popped', cleared, cleaned and prevented from 're-appearing'.
     I know in my heart that Jews in Stamford and CT don't hate Christians as much as Rabbi Hammerman would have us believe.
     But for those who so obviously support exactly this sort of anti-Christian bigotry BY YOUR SILENCE (take note Interfaith Council of SW CT, of whom Rabbi Hammerman is a stalwart member)...
     We are not about to sit by silently, complacently and acquiescently, for any of this.
     Rabbi Hammerman's quick and stealthy 'retraction' and pseudo-apology tells us all we need to be aware of what is and what may come.

     This is upsetting, yes, but it is hardly surprising in liberal Stamford, CT that this type of thing should originate here.
     But, Rabbi Joshua Hammerman of Temple Beth El recently 'went off', as many Progressive Libs are wont to do as if it is their birthright.  He raled on 'those not like himself'...and on those who do not hold to 'his particular social justice values'.
     The Rabbi's blog is called, ironically, 'On One Foot: Joshua Hammerman's Blog.  Unfortunately Rabbi Josh, you don't have a FOOT to stand on with your anti-Christian rant.

     I am very used to hearing from religious leaders with Rabbi Hammerman's mindset, especially ever since he played a major role in some ill-conceived interfaith shenanigans in the 'interfaith community'.

     But recently, Rabbi Hammerman's blew it bigtime!  Even I was surprised when he decided to zero in on all moderate/conservative CHRISTIANS in a very unkind (and weird) way by saying,

"If Tebow wins the Super Bowl, against all odds, it will buoy his faithful, and emboldened faithful can do insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants."
     WHAT IN HEAVEN'S NAME ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, RABBI JOSH HAMMERMAN?  HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? 
     Not surprisingly, 'Jewish Week' pulled Rabbi Hammerman's article and the good Rabbi offered an 'apology'.

     Popular outrage saw to that.
     Be that as it may, it is worthwhile for people of ALL faiths (as well as for all atheists/agnostics) to educate themselves about the anti-Christian/anti-religion bigotry that is running rampant today.
     I, myself,  never realized that Rabbi Josh was such a Christianophobe.  He certainly successfully hid it from me in the 22+ years I have been acquainted with him via the faith community.
     But do draw your own conclusions.  May God grant us the ability to live together peaceably, if it is at all possible.
     To my fellow Christians, I say learn and be wiser.  Then do as Jesus would do.  
     Be smart about those who intend us harm and be as agreeable and understanding as possible with those who are 'different than ourselves'.
     Forgive Rabbi Josh Hammerman and sin not as he has in thought, mind, word and deed.

Dear Readers:    'Tis easy to criticize...but 'tisn't easy to serve'
     Progressive Libs and enemies of America all over the globe are now in 'self-righteous mode' and 'indignant' over what appears--to me, anyway--to be a true 'lapse' in judgement.
      But, yes, it seems that my beloved 'Leathernecks' peed on some dead Taliban.  This is, in my opinion, an exemplification of nothing more than some very bad taste.

     Of course, the Corps sets high standards for itself.  But if there is any 'outrage', it ought not to come from 'placard carrying' liberophiles, but, rather, from within the ranks of those who actually serve or have served, themselves.
     I agree with Congressman Allen West, who said, "The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.  As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell."

     Furthermore, I suggest those who are all aghast at what they view as heinous behavior get over it--fast!--and here's why:

     Unfortunately for 'holier-than-thou' liberal pundits, even Afghanistan leaders, themselves say this is no 'biggie'.  Certainly this 'takes the wind' out of the libs so-called 'political concerns'.
     'USMC detractors' are forgetting just how very guilty they are of not only raising 'fatuous political concerns', but of displaying an appalling hypocrisy when it comes to 'all things urine'.
     And apparently these same 'detractors' are capable of the most disrespectful desecration of Christianity without so much as the batting of an eyelash!

     Serrano's 'Piss Christ' is a disrespectful work of 'art' which Progressive lovers of double standards find perfectly acceptable.  In this year, it is nothing more than another reminder of just how rampant Christianophobia is in America today after a build-up of so many years.
     No surprise there.
     So, while we're on the subject, let's examine the tight connection which exists between the liberal left and it's 'anti-America/anti-military/anti-USMC'/anti-religion/anti-Christian/anti-Judeo-Christian paradigm in the United States today.
     Here's my question for those who subscribe to the above paradigm: "When is 'the use of urine' appropriate?"

     My conclusion is that the Progressive Libs in the United States believe its' OKAY to use urine to desecrate Christian objects, but it is NOT OKAY to use urine as our young Marines did in a moment of 'field stress' and 'youthful indiscretion'.
     I find it interesting that the Progressives have chosen to actually foster and foment 'Jihad' with their outcries of apparent disapproval of choice of Marine urination targets.
     All this over a dumb 30-second video.

     So, those of you who are so inclined to not cut these Marines any slack, get a clue.  Their careers will undoubtedly be negatively impacted and you can take your satisfaction in that.
    I  have actually served as counselor and religious advisor for USMC 'sniper scouts' in my ministry.  As such, I can verify that there are very many issues these warriors grapple with, born of the stress and seriousness of their designated missions.
     The 'pressures' and 'issues' of sniper scouts/spotter teams are things the average person cannot even imagine, let alone those who hold anathema all things military, or in the vernacular 'patriotic'.
     If (big 'IF') I can get through to Americans who are using this 'peeing' episode to 'vent' their base hatred for those who defend us with their lives every day, it is this:
     It's a tough, tough world for our military service members serving in Afghanistan and elsewhere overseas.  Before you go off on them at the expense of national security and at the expense of our people all over the globe, think on the fact that these are the people who protect us and who who make it possible for YOU, their detractors, to sound off as you are about this 'urination situation'.
     The war against the United States of America is here amongst us.  When you demonize military service members you provide support and encouragement to the enemy...while endangering those who serve, along with their loved ones.
     But the 2012 elections are right around the corner and President Obama has an opportunity to 'man up', be 'charitable' and make sure this 'Marine urination story' dies a quick death.
     Will he?  I do not know.
     As the 'not very delicate conservative Christian minister' that I am, I will continue addressing this until it does and other 'indelicate' subjects, as well, even as those in the community opine that "I should keep quiet and be more...'seemly' for a Rev.
     Those Progressive Libs just don't like to 'see' a female clergy person out in the world defending the faith and speaking knowledgeably as a member of 'The Black Robe Regiment'.
      But I have a moral and ethical responsibility to speak up when others won't!

(NCH) announced today that it is voluntarily recalling all lots of select bottle packaging configurations of Excedrin® and NoDoz® products with expiry dates of December 20, 2014 or earlier as well as Bufferin® and Gas-X Prevention® products with expiry dates of December 20, 2013 or earlier, in the United States. NCH is taking this action as a precautionary measure because the products may contain stray tablets, capsules, or caplets from other Novartis products, or contain broken or chipped tablets.

The affected bottle sizes are attached to this release. The Novartis Consumer Health Inc. Lincoln, NE facility has voluntarily suspended operations and shipments to accelerate maintenance and other improvement activities at the site.

This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)."

Some Endo Pharmaceutical products (made by Novartis) are ALSO under investigation:

"FDA is advising healthcare professionals and patients of a potential problem with opiate products manufactured and packaged for Endo Pharmaceuticals by Novartis Consumer Health at its Lincoln, Nebraska manufacturing site. Due to problems that occurred when these products were packaged and labeled at the site, tablets from one product type may have carried over into packaging of another product. This could result in a stray pill of one medicine ending up in the bottle of another product. The likelihood of this occurring in medication dispensed to patients is estimated to be low...Endo is not aware of any patient having experienced a confirmed product mix-up, nor any adverse events attributable to a product mix-up. Nonetheless, to ensure continued patient safety and access to these needed medicines, FDA advises patients and healthcare professionals to examine opiate medicines made by Endo in their possession and ensure that all tablets are the same. FDA and Endo are providing instructions on how to identify an incorrect tablet in these medicines.

The likelihood of finding a wrong tablet in an opiate pain medication dispensed to patients is low and patients should not be unduly alarmed. Patients should follow the instructions provided by FDA⁴ and Endo^{5 6}and look carefully at all of the pills in their pain medicine bottle. For any questions, patients should contact Endo Pharmaceuticals at1-800-462-3636 or ask their pharmacist or doctor for additional help in identifying whether there are any problems with their medication.

When dispensing a medication, pharmacists should perform a visual inspection according to the instructions provided by FDA⁷.

FDA is actively working with Novartis and Endo to address the manufacturing problems. Due to the problems that occurred when these products were packaged and labeled at the manufacturer, tablets from one product may have carried over into packaging of another product.

In the coming weeks we expect there will be periods of shortages for these products. FDA is working with Endo and Novartis to minimize the degree of impact. The degree of shortage will depend upon how quickly safeguards can be put in place to prevent this manufacturing issue from happening in the future and how soon manufacturing can be re-started.

Novartis has initiated a consumer level recall of the other non-opiate products made at their Lincoln, Nebraska manufacturing facility out of an abundance of caution for these other products. Please see the Novartis Press Release⁸ for more information.
