Yesterday, my daughter and I attended the Tea Party Rally in Greenwich in front of Greenwich Town Hall on what can only be described as a
warm,
slightly sunny and
beautiful Spring eve...from 5:00-7:30 pm. The Rally was really good--very
peaceful,
organized, thoughtful and
most of all...needed!

We listened to others speak and mobilize and energize the crowd, many of us being relative 'newbies' to the political scene. All in all it, was
terrific to see that there are
so many of us who are
like-minded and
united in a common cause of
setting things right in our wonderful country.
I saw no indications of the
Tea Party initiating anything to
'split the Republican party', nor to provide for a
'spoiler' in any
upcoming elections--not yesterday, nor over the last few weeks. I'm sure that will disappoint a lot of people.
I was pleased that there were no
'objectors or disruptors', as some had feared there would be. After all, the press has been rift with horror stories of
'Crash the Tea Party' website, now thankfully dismantled and it's lunatic initiator Levin on 'leave' from his teaching post...read about it here:

Right. How very mature and open-minded. Even if 'they'd shown' I have every confidence that things would have been dealt with
legally,
with civility and
class. Incumbents can learn a lot from this new movement of ours...

But yesterday, a group of concerned and motivated United States citizens who'd finally 'had enough' respectfully, but firmly, made their views known all over the country. I have a unique thirty-year perspective on 'Fairfield County Giving and Non-Profits' and what happened yesterday is long-overdue. The time of complaining and yelling at one's television is
over. This is the
'Gold Coast', which not only bears the bulk of the
tax burden, but is also notoriously
generous when it comes to
'charitable donations'. By now, this same populace has gotten a very
rude reality check and many people know
it's time to get active.
The progressive-lib groups that have received so much of our hard-earned money have essentially
turned on us. Social networks intended to
help others are, in reality, a political web
intent upon destroying everything that is good about America. And they do it while
feathering their own nests and then denying it. The elites in power call it
'being bold', while we call it
'arrogant' . There are
no 'winners' at the end of the day for
'We the People' and we'd better
realize it and
fix things.
I am
allowed to say the things I am saying here. I am
'entitled', because I've
earned it. For 20+ years, I've aided and abetted -un
wittingly, that which I should not have, the socialist agenda put forth by various church, civic and government groups with my work as
a member of the 'Obama/Wright' church, the UCC. Since 2007, I have personally seen so many
'social projects' turn into
'works of contempt' against those who subsidize them. You almost wouldn't think that this could happen in the USA, but just look at
ACORN, for instance, and you see what I mean. When
President Obama gave the first speech of his Presidential Campaign at the
UCC Church Synod in June 2007 which I attended as a voting delegate, suddenly some warning bells went off. There were voter registration and 'Obama tables' all over the place (and yes I have the photos). So much for the separation of church and state!

But it was probably the realization that my
most generous donation ever to the
UCC Veteran's of the Cross (for retired UCC clergy) went
directly into the pockets of one
Rev Jeremiah Wright who coincidentally retired at that time. Ouch! Yes, I regret having made that financial sacrifice to plump the pillows of a hate-monger living in a multi-million dollar house, but I knew no better at the time.
No unsavory epiphany is without it's elements of usefulness and redemption, however. Having been blissfully
apolitical for much of my life, both personal and church life, I suddenly
'looked into things' in this regard. Of course, I finally learned and confirmed that most of the social-service/church network I'd been involved in was nothing more than a front for the
Democratic Party. Ouch again, I can tell you.!
Truth to tell, that wasn't a problem for me, as an
unaffiliated registered voter, for a long time, long time. I merely
avoided political exchanges and certainly
no UCC-o-phile directly engaged me, so my
ignorance was
bliss. It wasn't until
racism and
heterophobia raised their ugly heads, that I
finally saw the political light, as did a growing number of the many good and generous people of lower Fairfield County in Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Norwalk and New Canaan.
Here is but one example of what I experienced: The YWCA in Greenwich is 'dedicated to eliminating racism'. That sounds good, doesn't it? I attended race workshops there with good citizens of Greenwich, who, hitherto, considered themselves to
open-minded and
generous donors and
members of charitable organizations. Well, I witnessed
with my own eyes and ears how some of these donors were treated when they 'dared' to question certain money-recipients' intentions. I actually spent an entire 'meet-and-greet' session trying to
soothe a
white donor who fit to be tied over what was hurled at him.
This is eliminating 'racism'? The fellow was hardly allowed to speak before he was jumped upon and silenced.
Sure enough, radical ethnic leaders
nationally have gotten
very bold and
loud, and now,
so have I. I'm getting 'political', too. We have a black President, we live in a post-racial era and the era of
'white guilt' with all it's implications is dead, or should be. Calls for
'conversations on race' have deteriorated into nothing more than final attempts to revive that white guilt and more or less to express the rage and vitriol of
Black Liberation Theology, reparations and all. I'm sure some of you will be
'shocked' by what I am saying, but after
being deceived for so long, I
deserve to and
shall speak. I belong to the school which does not countenance racism in
any of it's forms, towards or by anyone. It's good that people are getting knowledgeable that they've been
played and
played bad, at that.
"GOD BLESS AMERICA, NOT GOD DAMN AMERICA!, I SAY!" What an honor to be able to sign just that on the 'Don't Tread On Us' "Gadsden Flag" yesterday for posterity!

Yesterday's Tea Party was confirmation of the
good intentions of good people. I didn't see, hear or detect a racist word or intent in the bunch, something I've learned to smell a mile away. But I did see a
wise and enlightened group and one which is
much less likely to succumb to
race hustling and
huckstering. Let's try slinging some
truth, for a while. I see ideals in
the Tea Party which look to the safety and betterment of
all Americans.
You remember those ideals. They're the ideals on which our country
was founded, the ones from the
First American Revolution.
Just now, former President Clinton likened 'Tea Partiers' to the radicals like Timothy McVeigh and Oklahoma City. Really? I don't think so, but thanks for validating how much the Tea Party is NEEDED!
