"A Prayer For Japan From An American: All People Of Good Will Please Pray With Me Right Now" By Reverend Barbara Sexton 'Dear Ones Healing Ministry'

courtesy beautiful wallpaper free wallpaper
Please pray with me right now for the people of Japan-Rev. Barb

Dear God:

Please hear this prayer from the American people for our Japanese brothers and sisters.

At this time we come to you as your children around the world, fully united in our faith in you.

We pray for those who suffer and weep at the grievous losses in Japan.

Have mercy on this great Nation, with whom the USA  has not always had a peaceful co-existence.

Fully unite us now as never before, Heavenly Father, in the forgiveness, reconciliation, love and respect that has grown between us, in a mission to provide for those most in need at this time with aid and comfort.

And let no other Nations on earth turn their backs on the Japanese people in their distress, we ask of you Lord,  our Creator who controls all of Heaven and earth.

Please cut short the days of woe and misery for our friends overseas, that they may be restored to a moment of calm in order to properly mourn their dead.

Help Japan HEAL, dear Father, as only you can do, and help it rebuild and experience the blessing of rebirth.

Most especially help our friends in Japan deal with all terrifying nuclear aftermath, a situation which by it's very essence, opens old hurts, wounds and decisions of an era long gone.

We pray that you will imbue the brave and stoic Japanese people with the powerful strength of Spirit only you can give to any person.

In the traditions of our individual religious backgrounds, we pray these things.

Which for Christians is in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
AMEN
In Christ,
Reverend Barbara Sexton

"Wisconsin Protesters Disrespect Veteran's Memorial" By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

WATCH THIS ON YOUTUBE HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=VHWZIG199rs
Dear Ones:
     No surprise here.
Law Professor Ann Althouse and Meade videotape some very 'thoughtless' young people who end up being very uncomfortable, as well they should be.
You can read Althouse's commentary here:
LINK: http://althouse.blogspot.com/2011/02/protesters-at-wisconsin-capitol.html
Meade and Althouse have done a very good job of capturing 'the essence' of the 'mind-set' of the Progressive Lib Dem young protesters using the Wisconsin Capital's Veterans Memorial as a 'sleeping bag rack/noteboard/sign-post/trash base'.
Althouse and Meade did a follow-up two days later on Feb. 27, 2011:
 WATCH THIS ON YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=M0fQPVFufeE
Here is the link to the Althouse Blog:
LINK: http://althouse.blogspot.com/2011/02/althouse-and-meade-return-to-veterans.html
In it you can see that even the police look 'conflicted and uncomfortable' about the disrespect being shown for the Veterans Memorial...not that it looks like they have done anything about it.
GOD BLESS AMERICA

"God Answers Prayers & Said 'Yes'-Uncle Charlie Update" Gratefully Posted By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

courtesy http://www.gospelgifs.com/   Jim Sutton
Dear Ones:
Recently, I put out a plea for prayers for my Uncle Charlie Eichhorn of Texas who broke his hip, had surgery and subsequently suffered from unconsciousness and days & nights of 'delirium' with O2 sats in the 56% range.
LINK: http://dearoneshealingministry.blogspot.com/2011/01/please-pray-for-my-uncle-charlie.html
     Not good.
It appears as though he may have been given 'inappropriate medication dosages'--several times, in fact and that's all I can say about that at this time.
Anyway, yesterday he 'woke up' and asked for food and ate some scrambled eggs!  Then he was tested for LOC (level of consciousness) and passed with flying colors.  There was no brain damage from lack of O2.
He was ordered to do so brief 'bedside exercises' and got 'hungry enough' to ask for more to eat.
I don't know about you, but when someone is written off for 'dead' and has his family told to 'come say their final goodbye's...and then that someone asks for 'a bagel with lox and cream cheese with chopped onions on the side', you've got to figure you have a MIRACLE on your hand.
This is not the first 'miraculous recovery' for Uncle Charlie, either.  Any WW II Aviator tough enough to survive Okinawa, is a 'tough bird', indeed.
Almost two decades ago, U.C. was diagnosed with enlarged heart and untreatable congestive heart failure and was sent home 'to die'.  The Grace of God and alternative therapies saw that that did not happen!
I am humbled and thankful and praise God for being so kind and merciful to us with Uncle Charlie once again.
And I thank all of you who prayed for him when I put out that global shout-out.
I am ever grateful to God and to you, my dear Readers, for being so gifted with strong faith.
    Thank you and thank you!
With Love in Christ,
Reverend Barbara Sexton

"A Christmas Plea From Sgt Major Luke Converse--USMC Battalion Sergeant Major for the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Afghanistan" By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

Sgt Major Luke Converse Intro

Hello, this is Sgt Major Luke Converse. I am the Battalion Sergeant Major for the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, currently deployed to Afghanistan. The Marines are doing some tremendous work over here. They are living rough, basically out of their LAV’s for the most part and are taking the fight to the Taliban. I have been in the Corps for 24 years and still marvel at Marines in combat. They are definitely living up to their legacy.

The Marines are in need of a lot of basic toiletry items. We are at the end of the line logistically, so they start to run out of things like soap, razors, socks are worth their weight in gold- simple cotton tube socks- (over the calf type) The Marines are on the go, it is incredibly hot and they packed lots of socks, but we have trouble with water to wash them, and then we seldom slow down… Baby wipes are also a hot commodity- we never have enough of them. Because we are geographically remote… we don’t have access to a PX where they can purchase these items on their own.

I greatly appreciate anything you can do for the Marines. I have 400 from my bn and another 150 in attachments- anything you can send to me will be given to the Marines via their company 1st sgts…

This is my mailing address:

"AMEN to Maluka's 'Quang Nguyen' Comment On Military.com" By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

maluka
Oct 25, 2010 10:27:55 PM
I came across this today. It is not about the VFW's actions but I believe it tells us that we must never forget what our great country is to all that live here. We can not allow our country to be destroyed or even divided by the VFW-PAC or anyone else. All members of congress who voted to help spend our country into bankruptcy should read these comments. Many of them would not even understand what this person is talking about. Many more would not even care. I do not think this person came to this country to have it sold to the Chinese or run by Marxists.
--------------------------------------------

Quang Nguyen, delivered this speech at the Prescott Valley Freedom Rally, Prescott Valley, AZ July 24, 2010.

35 years ago if you were to tell me that I am going to stand up here speaking in English to a large group of patriots, I’d laugh at you. Every morning I wake up thanking God for putting family and me in the greatest country on earth.

I just want you all to know that the American dream does exist and I am living the American dream. I was asked to speak to you about my experience as a first generation Vietnamese American, but I rather speak to you as an American.

If you hadn’t noticed, I am not white and I feel pretty comfortable with my people.

I am a proud US citizen and here is my proof… It took me 8 years to get it, waiting in endless lines, but I got it and I am very proud of it. Guess what, I did it legally and it ain’t from the state of Hawaii.

I still remember the images of the Tet offensive in 1968. I was six years old. Now you might want to question how a 6year old boy could remember anything. Trust me, those images can never be erased. I can’t even imagine what it was like for young American soldiers, 10,000 miles away from home, fighting on my behalf. 35 years ago, I left South Vietnam to come to America for political asylum. The war had ended. At the age of 13, I left with the understanding that I may or may not ever get to see my siblings or parents again. I was one of the first lucky 100,000 Vietnamese allowed to come to the US. Somehow, my family and I were reunited 5 months later, amazingly, in California. It was a miracle from God.

If you haven’t heard lately that this is the greatest country on earth, let me tell you, IT IS!!! It is the freedom and the opportunities presented to me that put me here with all of you tonight. I also remember the barriers that I had to overcome every step of the way. My high school counselor told me that I could not make it to college due to my poor communication skills. I proved him wrong. I finished college. You see… All you have to do is to give this little boy an opportunity and encourage him to take and run with it. Well, I took the opportunities and here I am. This person standing tonight in front of you could not exist under a socialist/communist environment. By the way, if you think socialism is the way to go, I am sure many people here will chip in to get you a one-way ticket out of here. And if you didn’t know, the only difference between socialism and communism is an AK-47 aiming at your head. That was what I knew and grew up with.

In 1983, I stood with a thousand new immigrants, reciting the pledge of allegiance and listening to the National Anthem for the first time as an American. To this day, I can’t remember anything sweeter and more patriotic than that moment in my life.

Fast forwarding, somehow I finished high school, finished college, and like any other goofball 21 year old kid, I was having a great time with my life, I had a nice job and a nice apartment in Southern California. In someway and somehow, I had forgotten how I got here and why I am here.

One day I was at a gas station, I saw a veteran pumping gas on the other side of the island. I didn’t know what made me do it, but I walked over and asked if he had served in Vietnam. He smiled and said Yes. I shook and held his hand. His eyes started to well up. I walked away as fast as I could and at that very moment, I was emotionally rocked, this was a profound moment in life. I knew something had to change in my life. It was time for me to learn how to be a good citizen. It was time for me to give back.

You see… America is not place on the map; it isn’t a physical location. It is an ideal, a concept. And if you are an American, you must understand the concept, you must buy into this concept and most importantly, you have to fight and defend this concept. This is about Freedom… and not free stuff. And that is why I am standing up here. Brothers and sisters, to be a real American, the very least you must do is to learn English and understand it well. In my humble opinion, you cannot be a faithful patriotic citizen if you can’t speak the language of the country you live in. Take this document of 46 pages… Last I looked on the internet, there wasn’t a Vietnamese translation of the US constitution. It took me a long time to get to the point of being able to converse and until this day, I still struggle to come up with the right words. It’s not easy, but if it’s too easy, it’s not worth doing.

Before I got to know this 46- page document, I learned of the 500,000 Americans who fought for this little boy. I learned of the 58,000 names scribed on the black wall at the Vietnam War memorial. You are my heroes. You are my founders.

When I was eligible to vote, I went out and performed my civic duty. For all of you young people out there, who just turned 18, I encourage you to exercise your duty as an American to be an informed voter no matter where you are or what you do. America fought and died for your rights. DON’T LET HER DOWN!!!

At this time, I would like to ask all the Vietnam veterans to please stand. I thank you for my life. I thank you for your sacrifices, and I thank you for giving me the freedom and the liberties I have today. I now ask All veterans, firefighters, and police officers, to please stand. On behalf of all first generation immigrants, I thank you for your service and may God bless you all and may God bless America! (end speech)
------------------------------------------
I know this was long but considering the midterm election is 7 days away and the affect it will have on our survival it should be read.-Maluka

Navy Revises Promotions Plan
The Secretary of the Navy has approved a revised phasing plan for active duty officer promotions
beginning in fiscal year 2011. Effective Oct. 1, active duty officers selected for promotion to
the grades of captain, commander and lieutenant commander will be promoted at a three percent per month rate for 11 months, with the remaining officers to be promoted in Sept. 2011. All officers selected for promotion during fiscal year 2011 will be promoted in that fiscal year. This phasing
plan does not affect future selection board promotion rates. Unrestricted line and human resources
officers of the full-time support community will continue to promote at the same rate as their
active duty counterparts. For more information on line and staff officer promotion phasing plans,

Navy Decision on Guam-Okinawa Relocation
The Department of Navy recently released of the record of decision (ROD) on the Guam and
Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands Military Relocation Final Environmental Impact Statement.
The ROD includes the Navy's decision to implement the preferred alternatives as identified in the
FEIS for the main base, aviation and waterfront operations for approximately 8,600 Marines and
their 9,000 family members who will relocate from Okinawa to Guam. The Army has decided to
implement its preferred alternative for placement of an air missile defense task force should it
be assigned this mission on Guam. The ROD is available on the Guam Buildup EIS website.

Bill to End "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Blocked
Senate Republicans last Tuesday blocked an effort to repeal the ban on gays from serving openly in the military, handing gay rights groups a defeat in their last chance any time soon to overturn
the law known as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Democrats fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance
the legislation, which authorized $726 billion in defense spending. The vote was 56-43. Read More.

vehicles, with the plethora of programs -- MRAPs, M-ATVs, Humvees, JLTV etc. -- seems a logical place to whack. And Chiarelli said the modular force is "not as efficient as a division" and that he is looking at "adjustments" to it. Read More.

Get Screened for Prostate Cancer
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Recently, the American Urology Association changed its guidelines, and now advises talking to your doctor about getting a screening to establish a Prostate-Specific Antigen, or PSA baseline, at age 40. Establishing a healthy baseline PSA value early will give a number to compare to future PSA tests. Screenings also include the Digital Rectal Exam and blood test, and can be part of a routine regular physical. The DRE is part of the Ranger and Special Forces physical. Navy Offers Flu Season Vaccinations
U.S. Navy flu season vaccinations are in full swing, with specific medical guidelines as to who can receive influenza vaccines. Patients from ages 2-49 can receive the Flumist, which is administered much like a nasal spray. Anyone older than 49 must receive injectable vaccine. Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations, everyone six months and older should get a flu vaccine. The 2010-2011 flu vaccine will protect against three different flu virus types: an H3N2 virus, an influenza B virus and the H1N1 virus that caused so much illness during the 2009 flu season. For more information on the flu, visit the CDC website, http://www.cdc.gov/flu/ or the Navy Medicine website, http://www.med.navy.mil/Pages/Flu_H1N1_Info.aspx.

Shop Around for Auto Loans
Car dealers earn a substantial profit on the money they lend you to enable you to purchase the car. Dealers attempt to lend you money at a high interest rate. After you sign the car contract, they sell your financing to a financial institution who gives them a lower interest rate based on your credit score. Consumers make two, common pitfalls when purchasing a car: (1) consumers do not shop for the best auto loan interest rates because they do not know the difference between APR and simple interest rates, and (2) consumers negotiate monthly payments, not total price. For more car buying tips, visit Edmunds.com, http://www.edmunds.com/advice/buying/articles/index.html and CarBuyingTips.com, http://www.carbuyingtips.com/
