SICK & TIRED OF CURRENT POLITICS & THE 'CLOWNING AROUND'?
ME TOO!
READ BELOW & GET INVOLVED.
NOT GOD DAMN AMERICA, BUT GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Let's get together and HEAL our fine nation. I am Reverend Barbara Sexton with the 'dubious distinction' of being a member of the UCC--the Obama/Wright church!  I watched it all evolve 'up-close and personal' here in CT.  Join me now in the TEA PARTY and help get America back for the many of us here as citizens and here legally.  Let us once again be a great and a noble 'melting pot' of those who wish to be known only as 'Americans'.
I have seen the false 'inclusivity/welcoming/diversity/affirming/inclusion' of the progressive libs.  I have witnessed them lie about their 'convictions' and have become political and vocal for the first time in my life.
If you are like me and formerly 'apolitical', the time to stop being like that is NOW...unless you want to see our country lost to progressive-libs who wish to trash all the USA stands for, to trash it's 'troops', to kowtow to foreign enemies, to create a socialist society (that's taking your personal rights away, people) and 'redistribute wealth' as they destroy our capitalist system.  IF THIS IS OKAY WITH YOU, THEN DO NOTHING.
However, if you are disgusted with the current 'regime', join the TEA PARTY and help set things right.  The future of your children and grandchildren and future generations is IN YOUR HANDS!
No wonder our 'allies' are holding us at arms' length!  We are turning into a country with 'Chicago politics' which simply cannot be trusted any longer in the world at large.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO US WITH THE DISDAINED AND SCORNED REPUTATION OF PRESIDENT OBAMA IN THE EVENT OF TRUE GLOBAL UNREST?  WILL WE BE SAFE? CAN WE DEPEND ON THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION TO 'PROTECT US'?   JUST LOOK AT THE CURRENT GULF OIL SPILL AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT WE HAVE IN STORE WITH UPCOMING WEATHER EVENTS AND OTHER DISASTERS.
GOD HELP US.
AND MAY WE TRUST IN GOD TO GET 'OUR HOUSE' IN ORDER NOW!
Make a difference in each voting cycle until our country is 'reclaimed' as 'one nation under God' in the tradition we know and love so much.  Don't let America be thrown to the dogs, because we are too lazy and too weak to act to make things different.
NOT GOD DAMN AMERICA, BUT GOD BLESS AMERICA!
With Love in Christ,
Reverend Barbara Sexton

Hello fellow patriots,
THE WEEK IN REVIEW:
June 16, Wednesday- Cort Wrotnowski, one of the founding members of the Greenwich/Stamford Tea Party Patriots, spoke in front around 200 members of the Retired Men's Association of Greenwich. He gave the history of the tea party movement and how it's maturing from an overwhelming sense of anger to a force that is growing into a wide swath of grassroots activists across this country. Individuals are taking a much needed role in their governance and getting politically involved. The talk was followed up with a Q.&A. session. Many myths were dispelled and an invitation was extended to the group to attend our weekly meeting and rallies so than can meet other like-minded regular citizens that want to work towards insuring continued prosperity for America.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mini-tea parties in Greenwich and Stamford had another successful weekend. On Friday, the Town of Greenwich and on Saturday, the City of Stamford express their love for America loudly and clearly. Horn honking, thumbs up and waves from drivers by. Rob Merkle, THE candidate for the 4th Congressional District Rep. dropped by on Saturday, met some regulars and some new tea partiers that joined us this weekend. Many passers by got a chance to meet Rob in person as well. Passing out Constitutions and palm cards so people can find out about what Rob is all about is good but having the real deal to introduce himself was definitely more fun. People stopped by to chat about issues and learn about Rob as well as other candidates running in the primary in August. Wave a flag, learn about the issues and share your knowledge with others. Join in the fun.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you haven't heard by now, the good news came on Monday morning. Peter Schiff, running for U.S. Senate obtained sufficient petition signatures to be on the primary ballot for August 10. And I'm excited to inform you that Peter will be attending a meet & greet coffee/dessert at the home of Dr. Robin Appleby in Brookfield on Thursday, June 24 from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. Details below in 'ACTIVITIES FOR THIS WEEK' section.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday night's meeting:
Deb Stevenson, a homeschooling mom who went on to become an attorney with NHELD, the National Home Education Legal Defense to advocate for her own children and others, was our guest.
What is the 10th Amendment all about?
This very informative session was an eye opener. Deb broke down the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in such an easy to understand fashion. Everyone became aware of how protection of our rights to life, liberty and property is provided to us in the US Constitution. In addition to the general public, two candidates running for state office took part in the discussion. Phil Balestriere and Kieran Ryan will be much better prepared to represent us in Hartford. They now have a great understanding of their responsibility and ability to protect the citizens of CT from the intrusive, unconstitutional laws coming out of DC. We, the people, took an opportunity to educate ourselves so we can actively participate in our own governance. And, upon election, our candidates can go on to operate in a knowledgeable, responsible, constitutional manner for the benefit of those that put them in office to represent them.
DEB'S PRESENTATION WAS SO MUCH APPRECIATED THAT WE WILL HAVE HER BACK AGAIN. STAY TUNED FOR YOUR SECOND CHANCE.
DON'T MISS OUT. PLEASE LET ALL YOUR FRIENDS KNOW AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, ALL THOSE THAT ARE RUNNING FOR OFFICE TO ATTEND.

And the search is still on to fill uncontested races...
CONNECTICUT LIBERTARIAN PARTY NEEDS HELP
From the desk of Dan Reale, Connecticut Libertarian Party:
What? The Connecticut Libertarian Party needs to form town and county ad-hoc organizations on a temporary basis. Why? There are dozens of state house and senate districts where both major parties haven’t fielded a challenger – and it’s too late for them to do so. How does this work? The Connecticut Libertarian Party will be authorizing the creation of town and county affiliates to help recruit and vet candidates for state representative and state senate. We also need the infrastructure to put these candidates on the ballot, which should require the signatures of 200-400 registered voters per district. There are too many races to fill on our own, so we need people of all political affiliations to help us with this process. Priority will be given to races without a challenger. Do I have to be a registered Libertarian to help? No. We’re giving everyone of all political parties a seat at the table in order to accomplish this task in short order. Anyone can help. The goal is to remove incumbents and restore fiscal restraint in Hartford. Each ad-hoc organization will elect its own officers and come up with a temporary set of rules for this process. We plan on making our temporary organizations permanent in 2011, at which point participants who wish to maintain their membership will have to register to vote as Libertarians. Where do I get more information? You can contact Dan Reale at danreale@realedealforcongress.com

LEGISLATIVE ACTION ALERTS:
ACT NOW!
Dear Fellow Tea Party Patriots,
DISCLOSE ACT, H.R. 5175
UP FOR A VOTE AGAIN
DISCLOSE ACT back on the calendar for tomorrow June 23, 2010! We must stop this 1st Amendment killing legislation. They are trying to stop our voices! Please call these Congressmen and tell them to Vote No on DISCLOSE ACT!
We have received information from Capitol Hill regarding the "Disclose Act" and we must work to defeat this bill. The vote is expected to take place tonight or tomorrow. We encourage you to find out more information about the DISCLOSE Act in the links below.
On April 29, 2010, Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) introduced H.R. 5175, the Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections (DISCLOSE) Act. The bill is a direct response to Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (McCain- Feingold) - a First Amendment victory in which the Supreme Court overturned the prohibition on corporations and unions using treasury funds for independent expenditures supporting or opposing political candidates at any time of the year. Simply put, the DISCLOSE Act will limit the political speech that was protected and encouraged by Citizens United.
Speaker Pelosi and the House Majority Leadership are making it a priority to pass this bill. This bill is designed to take away the influence of Tea Party and other conservative groups in the upcoming November election. We feel like this bill will be successfully challenged in the courts, but the ruling will not come before the November election.
An exemption has been carved out for the Labor Unions and other leftist advocacy groups. The NRA was also exempted so they would not actively oppose it.
Roll Call Magazine reports today that they have carved out even deeper exemptions in order to assure passage and we believe it clearly shows the intent of the bill is to diminish the effectiveness of Tea Party groups and other newer conservative advocacy groups.
"Facing wide-ranging blowback from an exemption tailored for the National Rifle Association, House Democratic leaders have decided to expand the carve-out from disclosure requirements in a campaign finance measure they are trying to pass this week.
The new standard lowers the membership requirement for outside groups from 1 million members to 500,000. Those groups would still need to have members in 50 states, have existed for 10 years and can accept no more than 15 percent of their funding from corporate or union sources. The broader bill, called the DISCLOSE Act, comes in response to the controversial Supreme Court decision in January that struck down limits on corporate and union spending in elections. The bill would force groups participating in elections to name their top donors, among other changes."
We need you to make phone calls, send emails and faxes and urge the Congressmen listed below to vote no on this bill.
Together, we can make a difference!

And From our Senator 'Traitor Joe' Lieberman...
Then there is Sen. Lieberman, one of the authors of the Cap and Tax bill, stating last week that the bill could cause gasoline prices to rise to $7.00 per gallon. Call his office right now and ask him to remove his name from the bill. Or, better yet, remove the severely flawed excuse for reducing our reliance on foreign oil bill from committee.
The EPA was established in the 70's to do the very same thing and obiously hasn't worked. Carbon emissions through free markets has reduced dramatically all on their own.
Calling for the closing down of the EPA is in order also.
Senator Joe Lieberman: (202) 224-4041
A Bipartisan Coalition Against The EPA
Friday, 11 June 2010 08:00
Thursday, June 10th, he Senate Democrats voted to reject Senate Resolution 26, also known as the Murkowski Resolution, against bipartisan support. The Murkowski Resolution proposed to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from acquiring unauthorized power to regulate carbon emission for one year. In a 53-47 vote, six Democrats crossed party lines to join all forty-one Republicans in support of the resolution. Though it did not pass, the close vote sends a strong message that a bipartisan coalition will fight extreme environmental legislation such as cap and trade. The long list of unpopular legislation in 2010 leaves little political capital to pass a bill so aggravating to consumers during an election year.
For the rest of the article http://www.liberty.com/
Eventhough it failed to pass It was a show of strength.
There is hope. We can start getting rid of useless, toxic hot air in Washington. Keep up the pressure. Patriots will prevail.
EPA Paints Rosy Picture of American Power Act
Institute for Energy Research
Posted: 15 Jun 2010 12:25 PM PDT
Washington, DC – Last Tuesday, Senators John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), along with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), released an economic analysis of the American Power Act (APA) – a piece of legislation designed to change consumer behavior by taxing 85 percent of the energy consumed in the United States in an attempt to reduce global temperatures and greenhouse gas emissions.
And while proponents of this legislation tout the “minimal costs” such a policy would have on household budgets, it’s important to note that the EPA has a history of systematically underestimating the costs of cap-and-trade legislation. Today’s analysis is no different.
Thomas J. Pyle, president of the Institute for Energy Research issued this statement on the economic analysis released today on the American Power Act:
“The American people overwhelming oppose an increase in the gas tax – yet, it’s included in this legislation. Cap-and-trade, which will cause electricity prices to “ necessarily skyrocket,” has also been soundly rejected by the American people – yet, it is also included in this proposal. We can argue about how high the costs of this legislation will be, but no one denies that the consumer will end up with less money in their pockets after this legislation is signed into law.
“Bottom line: the more expensive it is to do business in this country, the less productive and competitive our economy will be. Mandating the use of expensive energy and artificially increasing the price of coal, oil and natural gas will only further harm our already struggling economy. It is clear that the American Power Act will do just that, so one has to ask: What are policymakers and Wall Street trying to accomplish with this legislation?”
Note: EPA’s analysis is not a cost-benefit analysis. According to EPA models, the global temperature savings of the Kerry-Lieberman bill is astoundingly small—0.043°C (0.077°F) by 2050 and 0.111°C (0.200°F) by 2100. In other words, by century’s end, reducing U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 83% will only result in global temperatures being one-fifth of one degree Fahrenheit less than they would otherwise be. That is a scientifically meaningless reduction.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why, indeed? Could this tragic accident be just the crisis they need to try and ram another piece of horrible legislation down our throats? If the Obama administration can pull it off, the "Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act of 2010" (S.B. 1733) will be the largest tax increase in American history at a time when the unemployment rate stands at 10.2%
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your action is needed IMMEDIATELY!
You see, in just a matter of days, you and I could reach the final U.S. Senate showdown on Big Labor's Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill (S. 3194).
If passed, S. 3194 could force every police officer and firefighter in the country under union boss control, override state and local labor laws across the nation and lead to mammoth state and local tax hikes.
And your U.S. Senators could determine the fate of this union boss power grab.
You see, all you need to do is take a look at California and Illinois to see what the rest of the nation has in store should S. 3194 pass.
California is facing a budget deficit of over $19 billion thanks to out-of-control government union bosses and their outrageous demands.
Illinois is facing a $13 billion shortfall -- half the state's budget.
Dropping down a level, the city of Vallejo, California, actually went bankrupt after nearly 75 percent of its budget was spent on satisfying the demands of the union agreement covering police and firefighters.
And the Mayor of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, recently stated that struggling cities are "handcuffed" by public sector monopoly bargaining.
So please, call your U.S. Senators IMMEDIATELY and demand that they vote against the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill on all votes.
Here is the contact information for your Senators:
Senator Chris Dodd: (202) 224-2823
Senator Joe Lieberman: (202) 224-4041
Demand that they OPPOSE any bill that includes Police and Firefighters Monopoly Bargaining.
There's not a moment to lose.

SAUL ALINSKY IS ALIVE AND WELL! The Obama administration marches on. As I have said many times before "I don't have enough fingers to put in the dike" And this is just what the game plan is. Create crisis after crisis so the American public is so confused and battered they have seemingly no way to stop the overflowing insanity. Make your calls, your faxes and your e-mails. Pick one or two issues and hammer away at it. And most importantly find your most principled consitutionalist candidate and back them like there is no tomorrow. If we don't there will be no tomorrow for our nation as we know it.

MORE FROM ALINSKY LAND:
JOE MUST GO!
MORE BETRAYAL FROM "TRAITOR JOE" LIEBERMAN
June 10, 2010 8:25 PM PDT
Senators propose granting president emergency Internet power
by Declan McCullagh
A new U.S. Senate bill would grant the president far-reaching emergency powers to seize control of or even shut down portions of the Internet.
The legislation announced last Thursday says that companies such as broadband providers, search engines, or software firms that the government selects "shall immediately comply with any emergency measure or action developed" by the Department of Homeland Security. Anyone failing to comply would be fined.
That emergency authority would allow the federal government to "preserve those networks and assets and our country and protect our people," Joe Lieberman, the primary sponsor of the measure and the chairman of the Homeland Security committee, told reporters on Thursday. Lieberman is an independent senator from Connecticut who caucuses with the Democrats.
Because there are few limits on the president's emergency power, which can be renewed indefinitely, the densely worded 197-page bill (PDF) is likely to encounter stiff opposition.
TechAmerica, probably the largest U.S. technology lobby group, said it was concerned about "unintended consequences that would result from the legislation's regulatory approach" and "the potential for absolute power." And the Center for Democracy and Technology publicly worried that the Lieberman bill's emergency powers "include authority to shut down or limit Internet traffic on private systems."
The idea of an Internet "kill switch" that the president could flip is not new. A draft Senate proposal that CNET obtained in August allowed the White House to "declare a cybersecurity emergency," and another from Sens. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.V.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) would have explicitly given the government the power to "order the disconnection" of certain networks or Web sites.
On Thursday, both senators lauded Lieberman's bill, which is formally titled the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, or PCNAA. Rockefeller said "I commend" the drafters of the PCNAA. Collins went further, signing up at a co-sponsor and saying at a press conference that "we cannot afford to wait for a cyber 9/11 before our government realizes the importance of protecting our cyber resources."
Under PCNAA, the federal government's power to force private companies to comply with emergency decrees would become unusually broad. Any company on a list created by Homeland Security that also "relies on" the Internet, the telephone system, or any other component of the U.S. "information infrastructure" would be subject to command by a new National Center for Cybersecurity and Communications (NCCC) that would be created inside Homeland Security.
The only obvious limitation on the NCCC's emergency power is one paragraph in the Lieberman bill that appears to have grown out of the Bush-era flap over warrantless wiretapping. That limitation says that the NCCC cannot order broadband providers or other companies to "conduct surveillance" of Americans unless it's otherwise legally authorized.
Lieberman said Thursday that enactment of his bill needed to be a top congressional priority. "For all of its 'user-friendly' allure, the Internet can also be a dangerous place with electronic pipelines that run directly into everything from our personal bank accounts to key infrastructure to government and industrial secrets," he said. "Our economic security, national security and public safety are now all at risk from new kinds of enemies--cyber-warriors, cyber-spies, cyber-terrorists and cyber-criminals."
A new cybersecurity bureaucracy
Lieberman's proposal would form a powerful and extensive new Homeland Security bureaucracy around theNCCC, including "no less" than two deputy directors, and liaison officers to the Defense Department, Justice Department, Commerce Department, and the Director of National Intelligence. (How much the NCCC director's duties would overlap with those of the existing assistant secretary for infrastructure protection is not clear.)
The NCCC also would be granted the power to monitor the "security status" of private sector Web sites, broadband providers, and other Internet components. Lieberman's legislation requires the NCCC to provide "situational awareness of the security status" of the portions of the Internet that are inside the United States -- and also those portions in other countries that, if disrupted, could cause significant harm.
Selected private companies would be required to participate in "information sharing" with the Feds. They must "certify in writing to the director" of the NCCC whether they have "developed and implemented" federally approved security measures, which could be anything from encryption to physical security mechanisms, or programming techniques that have been "approved by the director." The NCCC director can "issue an order" in cases of noncompliance.
The prospect of a vast new cybersecurity bureaucracy with power to command the private sector worries some privacy advocates. "This is a plan for an auto-immune reaction," says Jim Harper, director of information studies at the libertarian Cato Institute. "When something goes wrong, the government will attack our infrastructure and make society weaker."

Monday night we met with concerned members of the Stamford Board of Ed. As citizen advisors Lorraine Olson and Carmine Limone explained the possible dilemma facing the taxpayers of Stamford a plan of action was devised to support their initiative. A group of G/S tea partiers quietly protested at the Board of Ed meeting.
Tueday night, "OPERATION FALLING STARR", the report....
Starr power: Meeting stirs debate over Stamford superintendent's future

STAMFORD -- News that Superintendent Joshua Starr is seeking to renegotiate his contract sparked an informal referendum on his tenure, particularly on middle school reform, from a parade of speakers at Tuesday night's Board of Education meeting. Meanwhile, four silent Tea Party members, let their signs -- bearing slogans like "Got Fiscal Responsibility?" -- do the talking.
Among those objecting to the request, a theme was: Wait a year. Starr has two years left on his current contract, but he is seeking to negotiate a three-year contract. In spite of the public presence on Tuesday night, there was no discussion of the issue on the board's agenda.
"We are not here to debate middle school reform, but I think middle school reform is why I am standing here in front of you," said Alan Stockman, a parent who asked that the board not to extend the contract, "because I am unhappy with the way the process proceeded... I believe healthy debate and dissent was not encouraged."
Those who questioned the reform, particularly, a reduction in ability grouping were unfairly cast as liars and supporters of a system that trapped some students at the bottom, Stockman said.
Starr has not discussed the details of what he hopes to see in any new contract, including compensation or benefits. Several speakers, however, focused on the monetary implications.
A new contract is not necessary and offers no benefit for the city at this time, said Nicole Zussman, a parent. "It would be fiscally irresponsible to extend a contract on one of our highest paid city employees," she said.
Another speaker, Daniela Kelly, predicted further political change, when new board members are elected in November, following the election of board members last year who are much less supportive of Starr.
"I think we should wait it out," she said.
Supporters also made a strong showing.
"I would also like to thank Dr. Starr for his strong, long-term vision that is starting to show results," said Marcella Branca, a parent. "I really hope renegotiation of the contract will be successful so your family can begin to benefit from your hard work as much as my family has."
Starr has said that if an agreement is reached he plans to move his family, including two school-aged children, from Brooklyn, N.Y. to Stamford.
Susanna Vidan, a parent facilitator at Hart Magnet Elementary School who has two children in the system, attacked other speakers' assertion that the board should wait one more year to evaluate the data on Starr's work, particularly middle school reform.
"I think it's ridiculous when they already have five years," she said. Vidan lauded Starr for reaching out "to communities that usually get neglected," such as the black and Hispanic families. "At least he listens and he wants to help," she said. "All the parents that think he is not reachable, I would say you do not know how to pick up a phone."
Former Board of Education member Angela Lorenti also pointed out that the improvement plan approved by the State Board of Education -- which incorporates changes to ability grouping -- will remain regardless of whether Starr is the one to carry it out.
Members of the Greenwich-Stamford Tea Party Patriots showed up after hearing from two concerned board members, according to Mickey Raimondi, who carried a sign telling Starr that renewing his contract before the two years were up is not fiscally responsible.
"It's like an Obama thing, where they have already made up their minds," he said of the board members.
"We believe in fiscal responsibility and justice for the taxpayers," said Philip Balestriere, also a Tea Party member.
Board Member Lorraine Olson confirmed that she and fellow board member Carmine Limone had shared their concerns about renewing the contract with Tea Party members.
"They had asked our thoughts," she said. Limone declined to comment.
Starr also shared his perspective during the meeting.
Every year at this time, he said he seeks either to extend or renegotiate his contract with the board.
"I have a sincere desire to continue to do the work we have done for five years," he said listing work on math, science and literacy, training and collaborative planning time for teachers, and other initiatives during his five-year tenure in Stamford.
"If we can agree on a reasonable contract that will bring me out through three years.. my family has agreed to move to Stamford," said Starr, who has three young children and lives in Brooklyn.
Moving to Stamford would both allow him to spend more time with his family, as well as participate in the community in different ways than he is currently able.
The Board of Education has begun its performance evaluation of Starr, a process which will extend into June.

My follow up....
Letter to the editor:
If Superintendant Starr is doing a great job now then it would be expected a year from now, if nothing has changed, there would be no reason for concern to renew/renegotiate his contract at that time. Why is there the urgency to extend his contract?
If he wants to move his family here, he can move his family here. It is his free will to do so. His requested terms for a renegotiated contract are unknown at this time. However, if he is looking for a possible housing allowance and/or moving expenses, where would that money come from? The 2010/11 budget presented was passed and deemed fiscally responsible with the approval of the board of finance. Monies could not come from raising taxes to cover any additional expense for a renegotiated contract. So would the money have to come from a program that had to be funded, a position that had to be maintained or materials that had to be procured? If there is any room found in this budget to increase his pay/benefits when the teachers took a zero raise for the year I think there is something not quite prudent with his possible request. And if that cost is going to be passed off to a later budget when we are in such economically uncertain and challenging times the fiscal responsibility question arises again.
The motivation for renegotiation, if only to secure his position for a job well done, certainly leaves me thinking. Putting aside the highly objectionable middle school reform program and the selection of the questionably qualified principal at the high school, why the push? If Superintendant Starr and five of his board members are confident with his choices then following normal contractual proceedings shouldn't be an issue.
The tea party movement's principles of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and free markets operating devoid of chrony-capitalism apply to federal, state and local governance.

Make A MEMORIAL DAY LEGISLATIVE ACTION TRIBUTE This Year For Our Finest By Reverend Barbara Sexton www.DearOnesHealingMinistry.blogspot.com

courtesy Doug Kidd   http://www.leatherneck.com/dougkidd/
Dear Ones:

Last month I put out a plea on behalf of our Nation's Service Members and their families that we all write and urge our lawmakers to support and pass "The TRICARE Dependent Coverage Extension Act" (H.R. 4923) a bill that would extend TRICARE coverage for dependent children to the maximum age of 26. LINK: www.dearoneshealingministry.blogspot.com/2010/04/left-out-us-military-denied-obamacare.html  BELOW IS WHAT I'VE WRITTEN TO DATE TO PRESIDENT OBAMA, SECY ROBERT GATES, SEN CHRIS DODD, SEN JOE LIEBERMAN AND REP JIM HIMES:
Dear Sirs and Madam:
The fact that the U.S. Military and their families are callously denied the presumptive 'benefits' of Obamacare only serves to solidify the fact that this monstrosity needs to be repealed and replaced with something credible and sentient.
Absent that and if we must live with this bill, then please, at least pass and enact Representative Martin Heinrich (N.M.)'s "The TRICARE Dependent Coverage Extension Act" (H.R. 4923), a bill that would extend TRICARE coverage for dependent children to the maximum age of 26.
May God imbue you with His endless compassion, so that you will realize how wrong it is to deny the same to others who serve and protect you daily.
Thank you,
Reverend Barbara Sexton

I realize that 'legalese' can be confusing, but I assure you that the concepts here are very easy to understand and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. OBAMACARE does NOT apply to the TRICARE COVERAGE of U.S. Service Members and DoD employees. A separate, special piece of legislation known as 'S. 3201' is needed to bring military health care coverage up-to-speed with Obamacare. If you prefer to 'just get going and active', skip to "THE BOTTOM LINE" (AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE)  and follow the link there to make your own, personal MEMORIAL DAY LEGISLATIVE ACTION TRIBUTE to our fine service members who protect us domestically and on foreign shores.

LEGALESE SECTION:
Below is the response I received from Sen. Lieberman today, saying "Please be assured that I will keep your strong support for this measure in mind as it continues through the legislative process".

Rev. Reverend Barbara Sexton
Stamford, CT
Dear Rev. Sexton:
Thank you for contacting me about the TRICARE Dependent Coverage Extension Act (S. 3201), which was introduced by Senator Mark Udall (D-CO).
Currently, TRICARE insurance covers the children of beneficiaries up to the age of 21, or, in some cases, up to age 23, such as for full-time college students. While the national health care reform legislation signed into law earlier this year will require most insurance plans to extend dependant coverage up to age 26, this provision of the law will not apply to TRICARE. As you may know, the health care reform legislation does not change or modify the TRICARE program whatsoever. S. 3201, however, would extend TRICARE insurance coverage so that children of active duty service members and retirees could stay on their parents' policies until the age of 26.
S. 3201 is currently pending consideration by the Senate Armed Services Committee, of which I am a senior member. Please be assured that I will keep your strong support for this measure in mind as it continues through the legislative process. To keep track of further developments on this legislation, you can click on the "Track a Bill" button at www.lieberman.senate.gov
Thank you again for sharing your views and concerns with me. I hope you will continue to visit my website at http://lieberman.senate.gov  for updated news about my work on behalf of Connecticut and the nation. Please contact me if you have any additional questions or comments about our work in Congress.
Sincerely,
Joseph I. Lieberman
