There is a raising of the first American flag, a parade of flags of the original thirteen colonies and honor the Greenwich citizens who fought and died in the Revolutionary War.

Immediately following, the Greenwich/Stamford Tea Party Patriots will give a brief history lesson on the Gadsden Flag and then host their 1st Annual "Walk For Liberty" Join them for a short sidewalk parade along Greenwich Avenue. American and Gadsden Flags will be available for people to carry along the route. As a thank you for attending the parade and exercising their 1st amendment rights copies of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence will be given out as "party favors".

The Greenwich/Stamford Tea Party Patriots , founded in January, 2010 was started by Monique Thomas and Cort Wrotnowski of Greenwich and Phil Balestriere of Stamford. The mission of the organization is to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and free markets. This is accomplished by educating citizens on the issues, constitution and the election process. People become motivated so they will take an active role in their own governance as was intended by the founding fathers of this great nation. - The place for profile layouts, flash generators, glitter graphics, backgrounds and codes

From Rev. Barb:

Don't miss this remarkable, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as an American to really MAKE A DIFFERENCEWherever you are and whatever you do this JULY 4, 2010, be sure to spend time reflecting on the greatness of this fine country of ours.

Then DO something to make it even BETTER by joining the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS....NOW....and get active!
For those who will be here, do join this TEA PARTY PATRIOTS JULY 4TH WALK FOR LIBERTY--and let the world know that the status quo is NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE.

Manifestations of anger, hurt and frustration against those who disrespect and wish to 'hurt' America 'HAVE COME HOME TO ROOST'!  And this ROOSTING has now led to ACTION in the form of the TEA PARTY MOVEMENT!

We are Americans of all colors, races, heritages, spiritual persuasions and sexual preferences.  Some of us voted for Obama and some of us didn't.  Don't let the 'races' be at odds because a few politicians promote discord and disharmony!  We Americans are BETTER than that!

We have come to REJECT the 'pseudo-diversity and pseudo-inclusiveness' proferred forth by those in power.  We reject such bogus paradigms and lies.

"We're here, we're clear and we won't disappear!"  Can you hear us NOW?

Please listen to me people.  I am a member of the Obama/Wright Church (the UCC) and with God as my witness, I have a clear testimony against the incredibly wrongful 'politicization' of a church which has lead to a horrible mess in Washington.

Thank you and God Bless You for listening to me.  I wish I didn't have to write this.  Still, I am compelled to repeat my refrain:
Help 'heal' our fine country NOW.

What They're Not Telling You About The Latest Lancaster Foods SPINACH RECALL Per FDA Posted By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

Dear Ones:
There's something neither the FDA nor Lancaster Foods tells you in this recent recall notice. Here it is: * after opening and disguarding the contents of these recalled bags of spinach, consumers must TAKE CARE to dispose of contents properly so that no child or animal can later 'eat them'.  It is also imperative that the 'empty contaminated bags' be sealed in a clean 'outer' plastic bag.  Also, any and all implements (i.e. scissors) used to dispose of the contaminated spinach and any surfaces the spinach may have touched must be thoroughly cleaned with soap and hot water.
Finally, anyone who comes in contact with the contaminated spinach must was their hands well after disposal, with warm water and soap.
I recommend the use of vinyl gloves for any and all food preparation, always remembering that gloves get contaminated too!  So don't be stingy--throw gloves away and replace them with a clean pair as needed.
After ALL these sanitation precautions are taken...THEN you may call the company for instructions on how to proceed.
God Bless You,
Reverend Barbara Sexton

Lancaster Foods, LLC Voluntarily Recalls Fresh Spinach with Best Enjoyed By Dates of June 19 to June 27, 2010 Due to Possible Health Risk
Douglas Verner 703-849-9386
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 24, 2010 – Jessup, Maryland – Lancaster Foods, LLC is voluntarily recalling fresh Spinach with the Best Enjoyed By dates of 19 JUN 10 through 27 JUN 10 sold under the brand names Krisp-Pak, Lancaster Fresh, Giant, and America's Choice because they could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall extends only to products with this Use-by Date or Product Code and sold in the following states: New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, and Virginia. No other Lancaster Foods, LLC products are included in the recall.
The recall notification is being issued out of an abundance of caution based on a random sample test conducted by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture Food & Drug Protection Division (NCAGR) on fresh Spinach with the Best Enjoyed By dates of 23 JUN 10 sold under the brand name Krisp-Pak that was confirmed positive for Listeria monocytogenes in NCAGR labs. No illnesses have been associated with this possible contamination.
Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria M. infection can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail, or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. Consumers with any of these symptoms should consult their health care provider.
Because it is still possible that the spinach with the Best Enjoyed By dates of 19 JUN 10 through 27 JUN 10 sold under the brand names Krisp-Pak, Lancaster Fresh, Giant or America's Coice could be on store shelves, this recall extends to retailers as well as consumers. Lancaster Foods, LLC believes that it is important to alert consumers who might still possess one of the potentially affected expired packages of spinach to immediately dispose of it.
Spinach included in the recall notification includes the items listed in the table below with Best Enjoyed By
dates of 19 JUN 10 through 27 JUN 10.

60th Anniversary of the Korean War June 25, 2010 By Rev. Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

ON THIS DAY...June 25, 1950

Korean War 1950 - 1953

June 25, 1950 - North Korean People's Army invades across the 38th Parallel. The South Korean people simply say "6-2-5"(pronounced yoo-gee-o), June-25th, to remember the beginning of the war that divides their homeland to this day. We salute the thousands of American and allied veterans who served and fought in war-torn Korea in 1950-1953 and beyond. Today's Soldiers are inspired by their courage and sacrifices as they too defend our freedoms around the world.
A big THANK YOU to Korean Vets of all branches for your great service to our country!
Please pray with me:
Dear Lord:
We ask that you bless and care for those brave souls who fought and sacrified for us in this great country, the United States of America.  Please, Father, remember those who gave their all and remember their loved ones as we commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War.  Bless those who fought there...both the living and the dead...and assure them that You are always by their side.
Most of all, we pray for mercy for ourselves and for those we call or once called 'enemies' that we might someday reconcile with each other and have a war like this never again.
We pray these things in the Name of Your Precious Son Jesus Christ,
Reverend Barbara Sexton

Greenwich-Stamford TEA PARTY PATRIOTS EVENTS JUNE 23-29 Posted By Rev. Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

free wallpaper with link-back to
Let's get together and HEAL our fine nation. I am Reverend Barbara Sexton with the 'dubious distinction' of being a member of the UCC--the Obama/Wright church!  I watched it all evolve 'up-close and personal' here in CT.  Join me now in the TEA PARTY and help get America back for the many of us here as citizens and here legally.  Let us once again be a great and a noble 'melting pot' of those who wish to be known only as 'Americans'.
I have seen the false 'inclusivity/welcoming/diversity/affirming/inclusion' of the progressive libs.  I have witnessed them lie about their 'convictions' and have become political and vocal for the first time in my life.
If you are like me and formerly 'apolitical', the time to stop being like that is NOW...unless you want to see our country lost to progressive-libs who wish to trash all the USA stands for, to trash it's 'troops', to kowtow to foreign enemies, to create a socialist society (that's taking your personal rights away, people) and 'redistribute wealth' as they destroy our capitalist system.  IF THIS IS OKAY WITH YOU, THEN DO NOTHING.
However, if you are disgusted with the current 'regime', join the TEA PARTY and help set things right.  The future of your children and grandchildren and future generations is IN YOUR HANDS!
No wonder our 'allies' are holding us at arms' length!  We are turning into a country with 'Chicago politics' which simply cannot be trusted any longer in the world at large.
Make a difference in each voting cycle until our country is 'reclaimed' as 'one nation under God' in the tradition we know and love so much.  Don't let America be thrown to the dogs, because we are too lazy and too weak to act to make things different.
With Love in Christ,
Reverend Barbara Sexton

H.R. 5175 Coming up for vote Wednesday
You are being silenced. See the 'LEGISLATIVE ACTION ALERT' section for details below. Call Jim Himes DC (202) 225-5541 or Bridgeport (866) 453-0028 and the blue dogs now! (listed below)
Video explaining HR 5175
Hello fellow patriots,
June 16, Wednesday- Cort Wrotnowski, one of the founding members of the Greenwich/Stamford Tea Party Patriots, spoke in front around 200 members of the Retired Men's Association of Greenwich. He gave the history of the tea party movement and how it's maturing from an overwhelming sense of anger to a force that is growing into a wide swath of grassroots activists across this country. Individuals are taking a much needed role in their governance and getting politically involved. The talk was followed up with a Q.&A. session. Many myths were dispelled and an invitation was extended to the group to attend our weekly meeting and rallies so than can meet other like-minded regular citizens that want to work towards insuring continued prosperity for America.
The mini-tea parties in Greenwich and Stamford had another successful weekend. On Friday, the Town of Greenwich and on Saturday, the City of Stamford express their love for America loudly and clearly. Horn honking, thumbs up and waves from drivers by. Rob Merkle, THE candidate for the 4th Congressional District Rep. dropped by on Saturday, met some regulars and some new tea partiers that joined us this weekend. Many passers by got a chance to meet Rob in person as well. Passing out Constitutions and palm cards so people can find out about what Rob is all about is good but having the real deal to introduce himself was definitely more fun. People stopped by to chat about issues and learn about Rob as well as other candidates running in the primary in August. Wave a flag, learn about the issues and share your knowledge with others. Join in the fun.
If you haven't heard by now, the good news came on Monday morning. Peter Schiff, running for U.S. Senate obtained sufficient petition signatures to be on the primary ballot for August 10. And I'm excited to inform you that Peter will be attending a meet & greet coffee/dessert at the home of Dr. Robin Appleby in Brookfield on Thursday, June 24 from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. Details below in 'ACTIVITIES FOR THIS WEEK' section.
Monday night's meeting:
Deb Stevenson, a homeschooling mom who went on to become an attorney with NHELD, the National Home Education Legal Defense to advocate for her own children and others, was our guest.
What is the 10th Amendment all about?
This very informative session was an eye opener. Deb broke down the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in such an easy to understand fashion. Everyone became aware of how protection of our rights to life, liberty and property is provided to us in the US Constitution. In addition to the general public, two candidates running for state office took part in the discussion. Phil Balestriere and Kieran Ryan will be much better prepared to represent us in Hartford. They now have a great understanding of their responsibility and ability to protect the citizens of CT from the intrusive, unconstitutional laws coming out of DC. We, the people, took an opportunity to educate ourselves so we can actively participate in our own governance. And, upon election, our candidates can go on to operate in a knowledgeable, responsible, constitutional manner for the benefit of those that put them in office to represent them.
JUNE 24, Thursday
Peter Schiff will be at Dr. Appleby's in Brookfield and he will bring yard signs, bumper stickers and lots of hand-outs. We hope you can come to meet Peter and to help him get his message out to all the voters in Connecticut. At a future date, Dr. Appleby will host a fundraiser. This event is strictly social.
Directions to Dr. Appleby's home: 1 Appleby Farm Road, Brookfield, CT
Directions: from 84 take exit 7 and get off the second exit, Federal Road, Brookfield. Go right, 1 mile north to 4 Corners. (the 4 gas stations). Turn right at the BP. That is Route 25. Go a few hundred feet, over the railroad bridge. Turn left on Iron Works Hill Road and go 6 tenths of a mile. The road forks at a large red barn. Take the left fork, that is Old Middle Road. Go 1 mile on Old Middle Road. Take the second right onto Diana (my daughter) Drive. Proceed up the hill, it becomes Appleby Farm Road (not on some GPS nor Mapquest yet...Diana Drive and Old Middle is). We are number 1, a green house on the left. Mailbox has the number..
Please reply to indicate how many people will attend....bring your friends.
MINI TEA PARTIES: Educating ourselves and others on the issues in regularly scheduled outdoor events. Enjoy the beautiful weather and get some fresh air and sunshine. (Even if it is raining we will be out. I was reminded one afternoon as it started to drizzle, 'it could be blood in the snow' as it was for George Washington. That put our effort all in perspective.)
Wave a flag, learn about the issues and share your knowledge with others. Join in the fun.

Gerry Fox's position on the judicial committee is vacated. Some of the most liberal tax and spend legislation of all time has had the seal of approval from Rep. Fox. The citizens will not stand for anymore. He will explain why incumbent State Rep. Gerald Fox needs to leave Hartford now and what a difference Kieran will make for all of us in CT. Please invite your friends, neighbors and business associates, Bring your concerns. Bring all the questions you need to hear the answers to and decide for yourself who your state representative should be in November.
And the search is still on to fill uncontested races...
From the desk of Dan Reale, Connecticut Libertarian Party:
What? The Connecticut Libertarian Party needs to form town and county ad-hoc organizations on a temporary basis. Why? There are dozens of state house and senate districts where both major parties haven’t fielded a challenger – and it’s too late for them to do so. How does this work? The Connecticut Libertarian Party will be authorizing the creation of town and county affiliates to help recruit and vet candidates for state representative and state senate. We also need the infrastructure to put these candidates on the ballot, which should require the signatures of 200-400 registered voters per district. There are too many races to fill on our own, so we need people of all political affiliations to help us with this process. Priority will be given to races without a challenger. Do I have to be a registered Libertarian to help? No. We’re giving everyone of all political parties a seat at the table in order to accomplish this task in short order. Anyone can help. The goal is to remove incumbents and restore fiscal restraint in Hartford. Each ad-hoc organization will elect its own officers and come up with a temporary set of rules for this process. We plan on making our temporary organizations permanent in 2011, at which point participants who wish to maintain their membership will have to register to vote as Libertarians. Where do I get more information? You can contact Dan Reale at

Some great tea party definition. You may have to sign up for PJTV. Have no fear. There is a lot of informative content as well as much comedic relief. It is a breath of fresh air away from the lamestream media.

Our Country's Future (Today)
Predicted In A Speech 52 years ago
Dear Fellow Tea Party Patriots,
DISCLOSE ACT back on the calendar for tomorrow June 23, 2010! We must stop this 1st Amendment killing legislation. They are trying to stop our voices! Please call these Congressmen and tell them to Vote No on DISCLOSE ACT!
We have received information from Capitol Hill regarding the "Disclose Act" and we must work to defeat this bill. The vote is expected to take place tonight or tomorrow. We encourage you to find out more information about the DISCLOSE Act in the links below.
On April 29, 2010, Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) introduced H.R. 5175, the Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections (DISCLOSE) Act. The bill is a direct response to Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (McCain- Feingold) - a First Amendment victory in which the Supreme Court overturned the prohibition on corporations and unions using treasury funds for independent expenditures supporting or opposing political candidates at any time of the year. Simply put, the DISCLOSE Act will limit the political speech that was protected and encouraged by Citizens United.
Speaker Pelosi and the House Majority Leadership are making it a priority to pass this bill. This bill is designed to take away the influence of Tea Party and other conservative groups in the upcoming November election. We feel like this bill will be successfully challenged in the courts, but the ruling will not come before the November election.
An exemption has been carved out for the Labor Unions and other leftist advocacy groups. The NRA was also exempted so they would not actively oppose it.
Roll Call Magazine reports today that they have carved out even deeper exemptions in order to assure passage and we believe it clearly shows the intent of the bill is to diminish the effectiveness of Tea Party groups and other newer conservative advocacy groups.
"Facing wide-ranging blowback from an exemption tailored for the National Rifle Association, House Democratic leaders have decided to expand the carve-out from disclosure requirements in a campaign finance measure they are trying to pass this week.
The new standard lowers the membership requirement for outside groups from 1 million members to 500,000. Those groups would still need to have members in 50 states, have existed for 10 years and can accept no more than 15 percent of their funding from corporate or union sources. The broader bill, called the DISCLOSE Act, comes in response to the controversial Supreme Court decision in January that struck down limits on corporate and union spending in elections. The bill would force groups participating in elections to name their top donors, among other changes."
We need you to make phone calls, send emails and faxes and urge the Congressmen listed below to vote no on this bill.
Together, we can make a difference!

And From our Senator 'Traitor Joe' Lieberman...
Then there is Sen. Lieberman, one of the authors of the Cap and Tax bill, stating last week that the bill could cause gasoline prices to rise to $7.00 per gallon. Call his office right now and ask him to remove his name from the bill. Or, better yet, remove the severely flawed excuse for reducing our reliance on foreign oil bill from committee.
The EPA was established in the 70's to do the very same thing and obiously hasn't worked. Carbon emissions through free markets has reduced dramatically all on their own.
Calling for the closing down of the EPA is in order also.
Senator Joe Lieberman: (202) 224-4041
A Bipartisan Coalition Against The EPA
Friday, 11 June 2010 08:00
Thursday, June 10th, he Senate Democrats voted to reject Senate Resolution 26, also known as the Murkowski Resolution, against bipartisan support. The Murkowski Resolution proposed to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from acquiring unauthorized power to regulate carbon emission for one year. In a 53-47 vote, six Democrats crossed party lines to join all forty-one Republicans in support of the resolution. Though it did not pass, the close vote sends a strong message that a bipartisan coalition will fight extreme environmental legislation such as cap and trade. The long list of unpopular legislation in 2010 leaves little political capital to pass a bill so aggravating to consumers during an election year.

Eventhough it failed to pass It was a show of strength.
There is hope. We can start getting rid of useless, toxic hot air in Washington. Keep up the pressure. Patriots will prevail.
EPA Paints Rosy Picture of American Power Act
Institute for Energy Research
Posted: 15 Jun 2010 12:25 PM PDT
Washington, DC – Last Tuesday, Senators John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), along with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), released an economic analysis of the American Power Act (APA) – a piece of legislation designed to change consumer behavior by taxing 85 percent of the energy consumed in the United States in an attempt to reduce global temperatures and greenhouse gas emissions.
And while proponents of this legislation tout the “minimal costs” such a policy would have on household budgets, it’s important to note that the EPA has a history of systematically underestimating the costs of cap-and-trade legislation. Today’s analysis is no different.
Thomas J. Pyle, president of the Institute for Energy Research issued this statement on the economic analysis released today on the American Power Act:
“The American people overwhelming oppose an increase in the gas tax – yet, it’s included in this legislation. Cap-and-trade, which will cause electricity prices to “ necessarily skyrocket,” has also been soundly rejected by the American people – yet, it is also included in this proposal. We can argue about how high the costs of this legislation will be, but no one denies that the consumer will end up with less money in their pockets after this legislation is signed into law.
“Bottom line: the more expensive it is to do business in this country, the less productive and competitive our economy will be. Mandating the use of expensive energy and artificially increasing the price of coal, oil and natural gas will only further harm our already struggling economy. It is clear that the American Power Act will do just that, so one has to ask: What are policymakers and Wall Street trying to accomplish with this legislation?”
Note: EPA’s analysis is not a cost-benefit analysis. According to EPA models, the global temperature savings of the Kerry-Lieberman bill is astoundingly small—0.043°C (0.077°F) by 2050 and 0.111°C (0.200°F) by 2100. In other words, by century’s end, reducing U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 83% will only result in global temperatures being one-fifth of one degree Fahrenheit less than they would otherwise be. That is a scientifically meaningless reduction.
Why, indeed? Could this tragic accident be just the crisis they need to try and ram another piece of horrible legislation down our throats? If the Obama administration can pull it off, the "Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act of 2010" (S.B. 1733) will be the largest tax increase in American history at a time when the unemployment rate stands at 10.2%
Your action is needed IMMEDIATELY!
You see, in just a matter of days, you and I could reach the final U.S. Senate showdown on Big Labor's Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill (S. 3194).
If passed, S. 3194 could force every police officer and firefighter in the country under union boss control, override state and local labor laws across the nation and lead to mammoth state and local tax hikes.
And your U.S. Senators could determine the fate of this union boss power grab.
You see, all you need to do is take a look at California and Illinois to see what the rest of the nation has in store should S. 3194 pass.
California is facing a budget deficit of over $19 billion thanks to out-of-control government union bosses and their outrageous demands.
Illinois is facing a $13 billion shortfall -- half the state's budget.
Dropping down a level, the city of Vallejo, California, actually went bankrupt after nearly 75 percent of its budget was spent on satisfying the demands of the union agreement covering police and firefighters.
And the Mayor of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, recently stated that struggling cities are "handcuffed" by public sector monopoly bargaining.
So please, call your U.S. Senators IMMEDIATELY and demand that they vote against the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill on all votes.
Here is the contact information for your Senators:
Senator Chris Dodd: (202) 224-2823
Senator Joe Lieberman: (202) 224-4041
Demand that they OPPOSE any bill that includes Police and Firefighters Monopoly Bargaining.

Pick one or two issues and hammer away at it. And most importantly find your most principled consitutionalist candidate and back them like there is no tomorrow. Senators propose granting president emergency Internet power
by Declan McCullagh
A new U.S. Senate bill would grant the president far-reaching emergency powers to seize control of or even shut down portions of the Internet.
The legislation announced last Thursday says that companies such as broadband providers, search engines, or software firms that the government selects "shall immediately comply with any emergency measure or action developed" by the Department of Homeland Security. Anyone failing to comply would be fined.
That emergency authority would allow the federal government to "preserve those networks and assets and our country and protect our people," Joe Lieberman, the primary sponsor of the measure and the chairman of the Homeland Security committee, told reporters on Thursday. Lieberman is an independent senator from Connecticut who caucuses with the Democrats.
Because there are few limits on the president's emergency power, which can be renewed indefinitely, the densely worded 197-page bill (PDF) is likely to encounter stiff opposition.
TechAmerica, probably the largest U.S. technology lobby group, said it was concerned about "unintended consequences that would result from the legislation's regulatory approach" and "the potential for absolute power." And the Center for Democracy and Technology publicly worried that the Lieberman bill's emergency powers "include authority to shut down or limit Internet traffic on private systems."
The idea of an Internet "kill switch" that the president could flip is not new. A draft Senate proposal that CNET obtained in August allowed the White House to "declare a cybersecurity emergency," and another from Sens. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.V.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) would have explicitly given the government the power to "order the disconnection" of certain networks or Web sites.
On Thursday, both senators lauded Lieberman's bill, which is formally titled the Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, or PCNAA. Rockefeller said "I commend" the drafters of the PCNAA. Collins went further, signing up at a co-sponsor and saying at a press conference that "we cannot afford to wait for a cyber 9/11 before our government realizes the importance of protecting our cyber resources."
Under PCNAA, the federal government's power to force private companies to comply with emergency decrees would become unusually broad. Any company on a list created by Homeland Security that also "relies on" the Internet, the telephone system, or any other component of the U.S. "information infrastructure" would be subject to command by a new National Center for Cybersecurity and Communications (NCCC) that would be created inside Homeland Security.
The only obvious limitation on the NCCC's emergency power is one paragraph in the Lieberman bill that appears to have grown out of the Bush-era flap over warrantless wiretapping. That limitation says that the NCCC cannot order broadband providers or other companies to "conduct surveillance" of Americans unless it's otherwise legally authorized.
Lieberman said Thursday that enactment of his bill needed to be a top congressional priority. "For all of its 'user-friendly' allure, the Internet can also be a dangerous place with electronic pipelines that run directly into everything from our personal bank accounts to key infrastructure to government and industrial secrets," he said. "Our economic security, national security and public safety are now all at risk from new kinds of enemies--cyber-warriors, cyber-spies, cyber-terrorists and cyber-criminals."
A new cybersecurity bureaucracy
Lieberman's proposal would form a powerful and extensive new Homeland Security bureaucracy around theNCCC, including "no less" than two deputy directors, and liaison officers to the Defense Department, Justice Department, Commerce Department, and the Director of National Intelligence. (How much the NCCC director's duties would overlap with those of the existing assistant secretary for infrastructure protection is not clear.)
The NCCC also would be granted the power to monitor the "security status" of private sector Web sites, broadband providers, and other Internet components. Lieberman's legislation requires the NCCC to provide "situational awareness of the security status" of the portions of the Internet that are inside the United States -- and also those portions in other countries that, if disrupted, could cause significant harm.
Selected private companies would be required to participate in "information sharing" with the Feds. They must "certify in writing to the director" of the NCCC whether they have "developed and implemented" federally approved security measures, which could be anything from encryption to physical security mechanisms, or programming techniques that have been "approved by the director." The NCCC director can "issue an order" in cases of noncompliance.
The prospect of a vast new cybersecurity bureaucracy with power to command the private sector worries some privacy advocates. "This is a plan for an auto-immune reaction," says Jim Harper, director of information studies at the libertarian Cato Institute. "When something goes wrong, the government will attack our infrastructure and make society weaker."

New TRICARE Feature Available
Week of June 21, 2010
Dear Ones:
Here is something that may help authorized TRICARE users to improve their health care data storage and tracking.  TRICARE Online (TOL) is a web site of the Military Health System. The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Health Affairs and the TRICARE Management Activity provides it as a public service for those who qualify.
In this day and age of terrorism, natural disasters and other disruptions, it really is a good idea for everyone to make sure their medical data is preserved and secured.  As a matter of fact, I urge each and every one of you to be sure to include copies of your medical records in your 'Family Disaster Supplies Kit' as recommended by the American Red Cross.  As a member of the MRC (Medical Reserve Corps) in CT  I will be giving you some valuable tips in the future so that when the need arises, you will be able to evacuate to safety--or shelter 'in-place' should--God forbid--it be necessary.
In the meantime, here is one avenue of recourse for members of the DoD/Military and their dependents who qualify for TRICARE. surveys have found that most servicemembers and their families are confused by TRICARE.  It is my honor to help keep you up-to-date.  And as always, if I can assist you with anything in particular with medical matters, be it info, paperwork or something else, just email me at .  I will help you any way I can.
Again, thank you and God Bless You for your hard work and sacrifice for our fine country.
God Bless You and God Bless America!

Here is a recall prompted by the CDC. The Marie Callender's frozen meals here are suspected of being the source of a particular type of Salmonella which has sickened approximately 29 people in 14 states. These individuals have ended up with the very serious infection known as salmonellosis. Please do check your freezer and check to see if you have any of these dinners and do not eat them and be sure to dispose of them properly.

ConAgra Foods Recalling Marie Callender's Cheesy Chicken and Rice Frozen Entrées
OMAHA, Neb., June 17, 2010 –ConAgra Foods is announcing a precautionary recall of Marie Callender’s Cheesy Chicken & Rice single-serve frozen entrĂ©es. Consumers who have this product in their freezer should discard it or return it to their retailer for a refund.

The company has been working closely with state and federal authorities, and while there is no definitive link between the recalled product and any illness, the company is proactively recalling the product after being informed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of a possible association between the product and eight people in the U.S. who have been diagnosed with salmonellosis linked to Salmonella Chester. CDC interviews have identified individuals who reported eating this product in April and May, 2010. The last reported illness was reported on May 22.
Individuals concerned about an illness should contact a physician. Consumption of food contaminated with Salmonella can cause salmonellosis, a common bacterial food borne illness. Consumers with questions about the recall should contact ConAgra Foods at 1-866-484-9610.
ConAgra Foods produces, markets and sells Marie Callender’s-branded consumer products, all sold in freezer cases at supermarkets and grocery retailers nationwide, under a license agreement with Marie Callender’s Pie Shops, Inc. MORE FDA McNeil Benadryl & Tylenol RECALLS By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

free wallpaper for personal use with link-back
Dear Ones:
When it comes to my DOHM NEWSLETTER, no news is good news.  Recently there has not been much to report on for consumers, but here is some current FDA recall information.  New wooden pallets (skids) are treated with TBA, which to me smells like a combination of coal tar and (sorry about this)...vomit.  This smell takes forever to dissipate, even in a well-ventilated warehouse.  The fact that McNeil products were 'contaminated' means that packaging used was inadequate as a barrier guard and/or those wooden pallets were 'overtreated' and/or product on those pallets was stored in a too-hot and/or improperly ventilated storage area.
In any case, the odor is very unpleasant and TBA should not be ingested at any concentration.  Stay tuned for updates as they are available--Rev. Barb
--Mcneil Consumer Healthcare Recalls Four Product Lots of Benadryl® Allergy Ultratab™ Tablets, 100 Count, and One Product Lot of Extra Strength Tylenol® Rapid Release Gels, 50 Count

Fort Washington, PA - June 15, 2010 -
McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., is recalling five product lots as an addition to the list of products included in the company’s January 15th, 2010 product recall. The additional lots involved are four product lots of BENADRYL® ALLERGY ULTRATAB™ TABLETS, 100 count, sold in the U.S.; and one product lot of EXTRA STRENGTH TYLENOL® Rapid Release Gels, 50 count sold in the U.S., Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico (FULL RECALLED PRODUCT LIST BELOW).
--This recall is a follow-up to the product recall that McNeil Consumer Healthcare announced on January 15th, 2010 and is being taken because the products were inadvertently omitted from the initial recall action. McNeil Consumer Healthcare identified the omission and informed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of its decision to add these product lots to the recall list. All these products were produced before the January 15th, 2010 recall. Since January, McNeil Consumer Healthcare has continued to analyze and evaluate 2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA) and has shared that information with the FDA. This further analysis confirms that the risk of serious adverse medical events is remote. This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the FDA.

BENADRYL® ALLERGY ULTRATAB™ TABLETS is sold over-the-counter and is indicated for the relief of allergy associated symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy throat, and itchy and watery eyes. EXTRA STRENGTH TYLENOL® Rapid Release Gels is sold over-the-counter and is indicated for the temporary reduction of fever and for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains due to headache, muscular aches, backache, minor arthritis pain, the common cold, toothache, pre-menstrual and menstrual cramps, and flu.
--The January 15th, 2010 recall was initiated as a result of consumer complaints of a musty or moldy odor that has since been linked to the presence of trace amounts of a chemical called 2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA). After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the source of TBA was the result of a breakdown of a chemical that is applied to wood used to build wooden pallets that transport and store product packaging materials.
--Consumers who purchased product from the lots included in this recall should stop using the product and contact McNeil Consumer Healthcare for instructions on a refund or replacement. For these instructions or information regarding how to return or dispose of the product, consumers should log on to the internet at www.mcneilproductrecall.com1 or call 1-888-222-6036 (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time, and Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time). Requests for reimbursement can be made at www.mcneilproductrecall.com2. Consumers who have medical concerns or questions should contact their healthcare provider.
--Any adverse reactions may also be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch Program by fax at 1-800-FDA-0178, by mail at MedWatch, HF-2, FDA, 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20852-9787, or on the MedWatch website at

SPAGHETTIOS RECALLED BY CAMPBELL By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets the Cross"

Dear Ones:
Per the CAMPBELL site itself, the company has initiated this recall.  Hopefully, the affected lots are still in retailers' warehouses, but I suggest you take care with this.  Underprocessed meat which is insufficiently cooked is a major health hazard.
Many of us are building 'evacuation/survival kits' and  I urge you to check all can numbers if you have these SPAGHETTIO items included.
God Bless You,
