To the Parents, Family, Friend & Comrades of BRIAN BILL:
Words are insufficient to express the degree of grief and shock many are now experiencing at the loss of your son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and brother-in-arms, BRIAN BILL.
Just know that a grateful nation and a grateful Stamford community grieves with you.
We will remember the sacrifice Brian and the other young warriors made for US...as we endeavor to be the very best nation we can be.
Pat and Mike--Those of us 'used' to dealing with EOL issues are never inured to the reality of deaths in our own families.
It is always a shock and it is always 'unexpected'.
Thus, I pray that God grant you and Scott Bill all mercies in this...that He give you full strength to persevere during this time of loss.
I also pray that the love of friends and family brings you comfort at at the present and in the future.
I am so sorry for your loss, even as we realize how proud you must be of your son Brian for the brave service he has rendered unto the United States of America in his too-short life...and in his selfless and brave death.

"STAMFORD -- Brian Bill, a Stamford native who played hockey and soccer at Trinity Catholic in the late 1990s, was killed on the weekend when the U.S. helicopter in which he was flying was shot down near Kabul, Afghanistan.
Bill, 31, a Navy SEAL, graduated from Trinity in 1997 and was an athlete and an Eagle Scout.
Bill's mother and stepfather, Patricia and Michael Parry, and his father, Scott Bill, issued a written statement thanking the SEALs and members of the Stamford community for their support.
"We are heartbroken in our loss," they said. "Brian was a remarkably gifted, thoughtful and compassionate young man. We are incredibly proud of him. He was a treasured son, grandson, brother, uncle and cousin. He loved life. He loved a challenge. And he was passionate about being a SEAL."
Thirty Americans and eight Afghans were killed when a rocket-propelled grenade struck their helicopter, causing the deadliest single loss of U.S. forces in the decade-long war in Afghanistan.
On Monday afternoon, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy released this statement:
"While I cannot independently confirm the death of U.S. Navy SEAL Brian Bill from my hometown of Stamford, I understand that his family has been notified and released their own statement about him. My wife, Cathy, and I extend our condolences to his family, and our thoughts and prayers go out to them at this difficult time."
Brian Bill was interested in attending graduate school and becoming an astronaut upon completing his military service, his family said.
"Already an accomplished mountaineer, skier, pilot and triathlete, he wanted to complete the seven summits," they said. "He wanted to return to graduate school. He wanted to become an astronaut. He was the best, and we will miss him."

Chief Petty Officer Brian Robert Bill, 31 of Virginia Beach, Virginia was killed in action on August 6th, 2011 in Afghanistan.Born August 23, 1979 in Stamford, Connecticut. He was the son of Dr. Michael and Patricia Parry of Stamford, CT, and Scott Bill of Sarasota, Florida.Chief Special Warfare Operator Bill was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Trinity Catholic High School, Stamford and Norwich University, Norwich, VT with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
In June, 2001 he enlisted in the United States Navy to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a U.S. Navy SEAL. After Basic Training in Great Lakes, Illinois he attended Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training in Coronado, CA. In 2003 he was designated as a SEAL and assigned to an east coast SEAL Team based in Virginia Beach, VA.
Brian was a skilled fly-fisherman, skier and skydiver. He was an accomplished mountaineer with successful summits of Aconcagua in Argentina and Mount Elbrus in Russia. He had completed several marathons and obtained his commercial pilot’s license. He independently studied Russian and became fluent in French.

We are sorry for the loss of our heroes, who so willingly laid down their lives for us~
We are grateful & thank God for our United States Navy SEALs.
And we give thanks for our United States Army Rangers and their 'kith and kin'~
This day and always, we will remember their sacrifice!

Please be the steady guide of the grieving wife as she explains to her children why 'Dad won't be coming home'.
And have mercy on these children, Lord...for all the days of their lives.
Console, O Lord, the grief-struck parents who miss their sons, the weeping siblings, the aunts and uncles and all cousins and nieces and nephews and friends.
Show mercy and fortify dear Grandparents that they may bear up under the strain of grandsons lost and let them draw upon the wisdom of their lives' experience.
And Lord-please give strength and comfort to sweethearts, to 'buddies', to pets who grieve, to co-workers and especially to comrades-in-arms,
That they may contend with the totally incomprehensible loss of loved ones in the service of our fine country.
Remind us all, Heavenly Father, that our fallen heroes have given great glory to YOU!
For they so embody the very preciousness of the life You give us!
May we see reflected in the loss of these Special Operation Forces members lives, the very essence of self-sacrifice, as supremely exemplified by your Precious Son Jesus, Himself.
When we remember this, Heavenly Father, we can come to terms with our grief.
And tell us again, Lord, about 'your mansion with many rooms',
And we will be content to know that our American sons lost in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011 are in a very fine place, indeed...safe now and secure with You!
These heroes are at peace now...mission served...and mission so brilliantly accomplished.
We pray these things in our individual traditions,

Family, Friends Remember Fallen as Heroes
One relied on his deep faith. Another was planning a marriage proposal. And yet another would shoot baskets with his mom when they had something serious to discuss.
But the brothers, fathers, sons and uncles who died when a U.S. military helicopter was shot down in eastern Afghanistan all had something in common: a love of family and country, according to friends and family members. Those who knew them said the soldiers were aware of the dangers they faced but were dedicated to their mission - even if it meant giving their lives.

All this GD manufactured crises dog and pony show and they didn't fix the problem. Smoke and mirrors and pontificating politicians. Bi-Partisan compromise compromised into not doing enough. The standard political fraud perpetrated on the voters again. We have been telling people for at least twenty years when the baby boomer explosion hits entitlements it is going to bankrupt the social security ponzie scheme and it will collapse under it's own weight. We told you if entitlements are not reformed they will eat up the entire GNP. We told you people with no credit and no money will default on their mortgages at the drop of a hat. We told you credit card companies were screwing the public blind. We told you Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Fanny and Freddy were screwing the country for campaign money. We told you the two so called stimulus packages were an out and out fraud. How much did that add to the debt. Oh no, it's two wars and the defense budget.Borrowed money to spend on pork and political favors. Creating jobs? Just words, don't mean nothin'. We told you two hundred years ago when the people find out they can vote themselves "free" money this country will be in one hell of a lot of trouble. We told you Obama is a radical socialist and my fellow American idiot voters didn't listen. We told you the far left is determined to spend this country into a total financial collapse because the hate capitalism. We told you arithmetic is the only pure science. One and one is always two. The accounting balance sheet doesn't lie. When we spend 1/3 more than we take in we go broke. Anybody who has maxed out their credit card and lost their job knows this. Somehow the logic is lost on libs. I told you both parties are run by North-Easter Elite liberals. The Elites screw the conservative new kids EVERY TIME. Watch the last half hour of Brave Heart, that's them. And I told you when liberals are loosing the argument the resort to name calling and insults. So the T-Party are terrorists now? The T-Party are average Americans who are fed up to the stack swivel with Washington. The Elites in both Parties insulting the T-Party is some new way to get votes. Morons!! O'Reilly and Krauthammer are them. We get the government we vote for. The people have voted to screw themselves. It's Bush's fault? BS! It's all their fault. EVERY President since Reagan has worse than the last. Reagan made mistakes, but nothing like this current crop. We finally hit the intellectual bottom of the barrel. For years the Democrat Party has been the wolf in sheep's clothing. The people were fooled by the wolf. In their colossal arrogance the Democrats dropped the sheep's clothing and showed everybody exactly who they are. Well the wolf is at the door and is fooling nobody any more. Politicians in both parties jumping out of windows in 2012. Can't get here soon enough. All the intellectually bankrupt libs have left is insults and name calling. 2012 will be the dirtiest most vicious political campaign in recent history. Dear Ones:
We here 'at home' have no idea how very important the 'little things' are to our TROOPS serving overseas.
In fact, they're not such 'little things' at all, but are vitally important for the physical...not to mention 'psychological and spiritual' well-being of our brave warriors!
Clean socks are vital in the treatment and prevention of ingrown toenails, athlete's foot, blisters, and calluses as well as 'athlete's foot', 'trench foot', Jungle rot', 'New Guinea crud', 'the creeping crud' or whatever you want to call it...not to mention PAIN!
And baby wipes in combat and other situations away from clean running water are sometimes the only means of maintaining basic standards of hygiene a soldier can have.
Won't you help with this fine cause of Soldier Socks in partnership with Reveal Hair and donate money, socks and baby wipes for our guys and gals in the Mid-East?
Please let our U.S. troops know that you care about them...body and soul.
