This is a day to uplift the United States of America.
This IS a day for the real victims of September 11 and their families and friends.
This IS a day for the first-responders, those emergency crews who prove that God is present on earth.
This IS a day to honor the response, rescue and resolve of the 'good
guys' of ALL nations and colors, races, religions and creeds and to
uplift them.
This IS a day of SHAME and DISGRACE for those who HATE the goodness of America and of the FREE WORLD.
On September 11, 2001, we witnessed the 'winnowing of wheat from the chaff'. TEN YEARS LATER, this winnowing continues.
We witness God's Hand at work on earth in a very real way when we honor
those who have worked, suffered and died due to the selfish hatred of those who love evil.
On this day, we consider the UTTER DISRESPECT and LACK OF SENSITIVITY
of those who use this day to further their 'NON-PROFITS' & their 'BUILDING PROJECTS' that in no way uplift and support those who have suffered as a result of the events of September 11, 2001.
We CONDEMN those who seek ANY 'self-profit' at the expense of the United States of America.
We utilize this prime opportunity to 'pray for and love our enemies'.
May God grant Americans and others who cherish freedom the discernment
to recognize HATRED for America and her allies in all it's incarnations.
May God grant us the ability to recognize when religion is being used as a weapon and as a means of control.
On this day of remembering September 11, 2001, we are a stronger,
smarter, sharper and more fearless people determined to root out ALL
that is a threat to our way of life and very existence.
May God embolden even the WEAKEST among us to stand up to the intimidation of the terrorist mentality.

We have been telling people for at least twenty years when the baby boomer explosion hits entitlements it is going to bankrupt the social security ponzie scheme and it will collapse under it's own weight. We told you if entitlements are not reformed they will eat up the entire GNP. We told you people with no credit and no money will default on their mortgages at the drop of a hat. Today May 2, 2011, Osama Bin Laden was killed and we pray that the world will be a better and safer place henceforth because of it.
We are grateful to our United States Navy SEALS, USAF and all service members who supported this effort, and we thank them.
We thank our US Army for 'boots on the ground' here and abroad, serving all Americans.
And we thank our US Coast Guard and the Seabees for protecting all waters, domestic and foreign.
President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney deserve our thank-yous for their efforts, as do all those in leadership positions during the last difficult decade in American history, including those of President Obama, if only recently.
Finally, but not least, we thank our brave CIA and United States Marine Corps for not only fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, but for also faithfully discharging their interminably thankless duties at GITMO.
I know of many of the travails you suffered and still suffer from there in that God-forsaken tropical hell from irascible 'detainees' intent upon harming the free world.

Heaven knows Catholics, Christians, Jews, Mormons, Hindus, Scientologists, Christian Scientists, The Salvation Army, Buddhists, pagans, Wiccans and others have had their own PESKY PUBLICITY PROBLEMS. They did what they needed to do: they addressed things openly and in good faith, generally allowing the 'better angels' of American citizens to prove just how much we value the concept of 'freedom of religion'. But Islam as it is practiced in the United States today has a real problem. They really DO need a good 'PUBLIC RELATIONS PERSON' to help clean up their image, tune-up their 'SENSITIVITY meter' and--while they're at it--start addressing some of the apparent 'STICKING POINTS' based on the Quran, upon which the very lives of the mosque builders are based. This is logical, isn't it? Hasn't the Catholic church 'dealt with' it's pedophilia problems? Haven't the progressive-lib Dem Protestants dealt with their obsessive lobbying for all things LGBT in the face of more traditional hetero-oriented marriage-minded people? Haven't the Jews in America had to address the 'perception that they run certain industries' and what to do with Palestine? Why, yes, they have. Even the Hare Krishnas had to deal with airport and bells and flowers issues in years past...AND THEY DID IT! This brings us back to Muslims in America and their p.r. problem. There is scant 'reaching out' BY THEM and unusually scant OPEN DEBATE by non-Muslims. Why this is so is central to the current Muslim p.r. problem itself, that is: Islam is a religion that INTIMIDATES it's detractors.
It seems like Islam is the only religion in the modern world--and even in America--where people who ordinarily have opinions on everything simply CLAM UP. Maybe they have that 'cartoonist' in mind. Maybe they are afraid of terrorists. When Bibles, American flags and effigies of American officials are burned here and overseas, it's 'OKAY'. But why is it that when it comes to Muslim affairs, everyone either CLAMS UP or gives Muslims a hardy thumbs-up? I'm not saying that I condone the burning of the Quran any more than I would advocate the burning of ANY sacred texts, as it is just 'disrespectful'. Also, the 'PRAGMATIC CHRISTIAN AMERICAN' in me allows me the SELF-CONTROL to not go 'ballistic' each and every time something 'I like' is disrespected. I consider the source, pray on it and give it to God. A religion of intimidation is anathema to all things American. Whether it's Quran/American Flag/Effigy burning or jamming a NYC Ground Zero Mosque down our throats, there is no excuse for 'bullying in the name of religion'. As for American Muslims (I'm assuming all the players here are not illegal aliens or anything, of course) if you REALLY want to FOSTER UNDERSTANDING, you should REACH OUT to your non-Muslim brothers and sisters in a non-threatening way.
Muslims in America should APPEAL to Americans if they wish to assimilate here, not the other way around. They need to soundly CONDEMN radical, anti-American Muslims in a way that is unequivocal. They need to be sensitive to our hurts and needs pertaining to Sept 11 and acknowledge our loss and they need to console us. I'm not the dullest bulb in the pack, but to this day I have seen very little of the above coming from the Muslim community here. What I HAVE seen and heard is a list of what WE, as non-Muslim Americans MUST DO in order to accommodate THEM. One needn't be a theologian to realize that something is very wrong here. At the very least, Muslims in America need to answer questions about their activities in a truthful, verifiable way, just as other religions have. You'd think this would be a priority of Imam's everywhere and especially with Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, but it isn't. Most of all, remember that 'Freedom of Religion' means ALL religions in America, and not just Islam. And don't forget that American's have every right in the world to be atheists and agnostics, as well. Live and let live and all that, our 'dear American Muslim friends'. Perhaps the NYC Ground Zero Cordoba could even take the lead from the Obama Presidential Campaign and launch a 'SMEARS' site to debunk all the MISINFORMATION they say is out there. I'd sure like to see a 'non-Muslim-friendly' place like that to ILLUMINATE those of us who may be MISINTERPRETING or MISSING something. I'd like to see a site where MISCONCEPTIONS of these mosque builders are addressed, one of which is the Islamic practice of TAQIYA or TAQIYYA, which throws a 'monkey-wrench' into discussions even with the best of intentions. Plainly put, the Quran allows for lying under certain situations, it is said. I'm sorry, but I just do not know any other way to 'define' what I have learned about TAQIYYA. Coming from a faith perspective which so reviles any and all things related to 'lying' (indeed, Satan, himself, is called a 'liar and the father of all lies', "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." I treasure the fact that God has set such very high standards for His CHRISTIAN SAINTS. Indeed, the BEST and BRAVEST have been martyred for refusing to BEAR FALSE WITNESS. It doesn't make for an easy life, necessarily, such 'TRUTHFULNESS'...but it sure does provide one with a good night's sleep in this shaky world today.
In a swarmy, snarky sea of humankind, where LYING IS AS NATURAL AS BREATHING for so many, I must believe that there are some Christians and Jews who are truth-tellers. EVERYONE can't be liars...can they? I pray for those who at least, DO try the best they can to honor truth. But perhaps the Scripture verse above is yet applicable to him as far as his 'to-date' strident, adamant and unrelenting advocacy of the NYC Ground Zero Mosque and all things pertaining to it. I like to be able to 'make allowances' for people I like and 'trust' whenever they fly in the face of what the bulk of the populace is so solidly AGAINST (in this case that darnfangled Ground Zero Mosque, again). Clearly we will have to be patient as events play out. Until such time as we 'non-Muslim Americans' can finally discern the real truth, here are two 'takes' on a very, VERY serious subject. That subject is the Quran's apparent permission to be less than truthful in dealing with the non-Muslim world, especially:

3) Sometimes, taqiyya may cause a more important obligation to be lost or missed; if so it is forbidden. For example, when I know that silence would cause oppression and infidelity to spread and will make people go astray, in such a situation it is not permissible to be silent and to dissimulate.

The Taqiyya Libel Against Muslims - updated 5/30/2010 Taqiyya actually refers to a controversial minority doctrine or dispensation that allows for an individual to conceal their faith when under threat, persecution or compulsion. Even those who believe that taqiyyah is possible under such circumstances place severe limits on the possibility and see it as an option that represents “the lesser of two evils”. The possibility of using taqiyya even in a situation where you are endangered is not accepted by all scholars or schools of law.
As Hussein Ibish has pointed out in a very worthwhile article “It is becoming increasingly common in American political commentary as Islamophobic rhetoric has developed as a genre of the “paranoid style” of American politics, to hear or read that Islam encourages Muslims to lie to nonbelievers, and that therefore no one of Muslim heritage should be believed, particularly when they adopt moderate or constructive stances. This is, of course, immediately familiar to anyone with a familiarity with Western anti-Semitism, which has always held that Jews are religiously authorized to lie to, steal from or even kill Christians and other non-Jews. "When Derrick (Owen) was eight years-old he wanted to be a United States Marine, and every day since he has maintained that centered focus of earning his Eagle, Globe and Anchor.
“He has lived and breathed the Marine Corps since he was a little kid,” said Tammy Owen, Derrick’s mother. “This is all he has ever wanted. His entire persona is built around this goal. He was born to be a Marine.” "Derrick remained dedicated and on the earliest possible date he was eligible he joined the Delayed Entry Program. He was counting the days. Derrick was one school year away from fulfilling his childhood aspirations of service in the Marine Corps. Then on Jan. 10, he was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that attacks tissue and bone. His first reaction, however, was not one of concern for his health." “My very first thought was that my career as a Marine was ruined,” said Derrick. “It sounds weird and you might not believe it, but my main concern was that I wouldn’t be able to join the Marine Corps.” 'He is a natural leader, and everywhere he went he ate, slept and breathed Marine Corps.” "When he first received the explanation from the doctors, they told Derrick that the cancer was in Stage 4 and had spread to most of his torso, arms and legs. The cancer was concentrated on the left side of his body, and the prognosis was far from favorable." “He told me he wasn’t going to be the typical patient,” said Denny. “He was going to beat it and that was that.”

"The Marines of RSS Newport News and the Command Group of Recruiting Station Richmond were so inspired by Derrick’s dedication to his goal of becoming a Marine they submitted him for the rare title of Honorary Marine. This award is so rare that it must be approved and signed by the Commandant of the Marine Corps. After careful consideration, Derrick’s package was approved. On July 23 he stood, at attention, in front of RS Richmond Commanding Officer Maj. Benjamin Sanders to accept the title of Marine."
“He has lived the Marine Corps ethos since he was very young,” said Sanders. “Life circumstances prevented him from fulfilling his dream but, he deserves this. This was the right thing to do.” "It seems like a long shot right now. Derrick’s chemotherapy doesn’t end until February 2011, and he still has a long way to complete recovery, but anyone that has ever talked to him would not rule it out. The determination in his eyes overshadows any doubt that his cancer has created. Whether or not he ever makes it to Parris Island, he has earned the title of Marine. It is a rare honor for a unique young man that disease can never diminish."

To Derrick's Mom, I say, "You BET your faith will get you through all this". Some of the 'very best praying' I've done has been in the wee hours of the morning, alone, in a hospital ladies' room...on a patients front porch...or in the chapel of some hospice unit. May God grant you all strength, hope and endurance as you help your son fight for his life. To Derrick, I say, "You BET you're not a typical patient. You're going to beat this thing!". I tell you this because I know. You see, my own husband Bob, USMC (ret.) tank commander, was diagnosed with a rare, advanced 'aggressive' form of prostate cancer several years ago. Like all patients and their families, we were overwhelmed with fear, uncertainty, too much information, too many choices, too many opinions and not enough time. But we knew 'we' had to do something fast, for there was no 'wait-and-see' option which is common for those with prostate cancer. Fortunately, I was able to pare down and interpret the medical-ese for my husband Bob and that helped. But no degree of information consolidation or interpretation can provide the BRAVERY and STAMINA every 'advanced' cancer patient needs to have in order to survive. No amount of support or assistance or even prayer alone can replace what the advanced cancer patient must muster within him or her self--faith, sheer strength-of-will and determination! You know what I'm talking about. It's what you 'get' in the Marine Corps and learn to react with instinctively. For more faith--just ask God and He will give it to you. When you want to 'kick a--', ask the Marine Corps. Sure enough, after a thorough examination of all options, I am proud to say that Bob formulated his game plan and made his appointments. He didn't shirk from the most radical of options and elected the most aggressive approaches for what was an aggressive cancer. He chose radical surgery, radiation and drug therapies. He acted quickly, decisively and forcefully and guess what? After a couple of years of fighting like hell to get 'back to normal', Bob BEAT that cancer! And not only is he 'cancer-free' right now, but he is fully functioning and doing things they said couldn't be done! Of course my alternative 'therapies' help...but bear in mind that he is a long-sight older than you, Derrick, which is part of why I am telling you this. Did my husband have such a good outcome because of the Corps blood pumping though his veins? I believe so. Combine this resolve with strong faith from God and you can do anything. Having observed so very many patients getting 'bad diagnoses', there was no 'initial paralysis'...no protracted period of being overwhelmed and in utter despair for my husband. What he did was get it in gear and use the RESOLVE & FEARLESSNESS imbued in him by the grace of God with his years in the USMC! Thus, Derrick, I know you are going to fare well. You have that same RESOLVE & FEARLESSNESS, too. And someday, you are going to help others by sharing stories of your faith, strength and your steadfastness. So I say, "best wishes and Godspeed" to you in conquering our 'biological enemy' known as 'cancer'. Your family and friends and all of us here are praying for you, encourage you and support you as you muster what you will through sheer strength-of-will, the determination of the United States Marine Corps 'way' and by the grace of God! Monday, July 19-Weekly meeting with over 35 in attendance. Everyone shared a bit about what has brought them to the table. They talked about events they have been at over the past week. The shared their frustrations, concerns and ways to get our government back on track.

A couple of highlights-- Lt. Governor Mike Fedele joined us at 8pm to fill us in on his background and positions. He spoke of being an immigrant and a business man who knows how to create jobs. He know the personalities of current members of the state congress and feels he will be able to hit the ground running.
He backs the AZ immigration law. He will uphold the 10th Amendment. Race to the Top has merit and the state should continue to pursue funding.
He will pursue breaking the hold unions have over our ever-busting budget. Asked for the Tea Party support. Wants to see us at public forum sessions in Hartford and rallying when the likes of SEIU protesters push back. Promised to get the CT GOP chair replaced. Wants to form a quasi-public organization to market Bradley International.

No matter what your view of the Tea Party movement is, this is a dangerous precedent and we need to fight it or lose our freedoms.
TEA PARTY NATION exposes... A few days ago, Geek.com and others reported that the Federal Government had shut down blog hosting site, Blogetery. The site that hosted Blogetery stated they were contacted by the Federal Law Enforcement and had little choice but to shut the site down immediately. This action silenced 73,000 blogs!!!
Until this action occurred, none of us at Tea Party Nation had even heard of this site. We do not know what kind of blogs were hosted on this site, but we suspect they cover the range from personal to political.
This is why the Tea Party Movement needs to be involved immediately. The Obama regime has taken a very hostile attitude towards our First Amendment rights. Is this a dry run the government is taking to shut down sites that are critical of the regime?
We need to act.
Call your Senators and Congressmen today and demand that the Senate and the House investigate which agency shut this site down and why. Email your friends and ask them to call as well. We need an explanation and we cannot let the regime off on this issue. Along this line, Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan has said she sees nothing wrong with the government suppressing speech the government finds offensive. Given the regime’s attitude to the First Amendment, we must be vigilant.
Remember to keep calling the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee and reminding them to vote "NO!" on the Kagan nomination.

Having worked with Elena Kagan at the Clinton White House, Dick was inclined to see her as a political moderate, worthy of support as the best one could expect from the Obama White House. But no more.
Thanks to the work of the Center for Security Policy Director Frank Gaffney and the writing of Andrew McCarthy of the National Review Institute, there has emerged a compelling reason to vote against Kagan's confirmation as a Supreme Court justice: her support for Shariah law while she was dean of Harvard Law School.
Islamists are seeking to spread Shariah law by inducing American and European financial institutions to establish Shariah Compliant Funds in which their clients can invest. Exposed in our books Fleeced and Outrage, these funds follow the prescriptions of Shariah law in their investments. They routinely collect 2.5 percent of the principal of any investment annually for donation to charitable institutions, fine recipients of their investment 7 percent for transgressions of Shariah law (and donate the fine to charity), and only invest in projects compliant with the rules of Shariah.
Unfortunately, the decisions as to which investments are compliant and which charities receive their benefice are made by Shariah Compliance Boards appointed by the financial institutions that typically include radical Muslim extremists who routinely designate terrorist-linked entities to receive their charitable donations, and they also proscribe investment in any firm engaged in U.S. defense contracting on the ground that the contract could aid Israel.
Most major banks in the U.S. and Europe have established Shariah Compliant Funds, and they had almost $1 trillion under management by 2007 -- and likely more today.
At Harvard, Elena Kagan "proceeded to forge the law schools' 'Islamic Finance Project.' " Its purpose, according to McCarthy, was "to promote Shariah compliance in the U.S. financial sector."
Indeed, when Harvard's president, Larry Summers -- now in the Obama administration -- accepted a $20 million donation for the creation of a program of studies of Islam's history and Shariah law, Kagan raised no objection. The donation came from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a billionaire investor whose contribution of $10 million to the Twin Towers fund was refused by New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani because bin Talal had blamed the 9/11 attack on American foreign policy.
Harvard Law School now has three Saudi-funded institutions devoted to the study of Shariah.
Kagan, as a Supreme Court justice, will be required to rule frequently on possible applications of Shariah law in the United States. She has already noted that she welcomes "good ideas wherever they originate" and is open to applications of foreign law to the interpretation of U.S. statutes and common law. In fact, a lawsuit seeking to ban Shariah Compliance Funds in banks that accepted TARP money (as violating the First Amendment separation of church and state) is now making its way up to the Supreme Court. Kagan cannot be trusted to rule dispassionately on this case, nor can we rely on her to exclude Shariah law from American jurisprudence.
For this reason -- if for no other -- senators should vote no on her confirmation ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This should be an interesting group to keep an eye on.

Note to NAACP: Tea Party Is NOT Racist

By: Deroy Murdock The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) on Tuesday unanimously adopted a resolution at its national convention in Kansas City condemning the Tea Party movement as — guess what?— racist.
This is false, outrageous, and no surprise. The NAACP is like a talking GI Joe doll with a cord coiled into his back. Pull it, and GI Joe says something manly and combative. Pull the NAACP's string. "Racism!" squawks the shopworn voice. Pull it again. "Bigotry!" it squeals, as it has so many times before.
The NAACP once was totally justified when it decried the racism and bigotry that the Jim Crow South's Democratic-led governments mandated by law. In 2010, however, screaming "racism" sounds increasingly delusional, given that America is governed by a black man who voters comfortably elected in November 2008 and wished well, largely across the political spectrum, on Inauguration Day, 2009. The NAACP's original resolution sought to "repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties" and combat their supposed efforts to "push our country back to the pre-civil rights era." This statement reportedly was toned down, although it was debated behind closed doors and will remain unseen until the NAACP's board approves it in October. If the tea party movement really is fueled by bias, why did they invite a black man like me to address one of the first tea parties in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 26, 2009?
Why would these alleged racists invite me to rally an even bigger tea party in Manhattan on July 1, 2009? Did prejudice inspire them to let David Webb, a black man, organize that Times Square event, and also run the New York Tea Party?
Did racial insensitivity lead the tea party to showcase Congress of Racial Equality national spokesman Niger Innis, Project 21's Deneen Borelli, and other black conservatives and free-marketeers?
"In March, respected members of the Congressional Black Caucus reported that racial epithets were hurled at them as they passed by a Washington, D.C. healthcare protest," the NAACP's website states. "Civil rights legend John Lewis was called the 'N-word' in the incident." Americans still await video footage and/or to hear audiotape that proves these oft-repeated accusations. Reps. Lewis, D-Ga., and Andre Carson, D-Ind., were encircled by TV cameras, radio news gear, cell phone cameras, and other recording devices.
To date, none of them has yielded any sound or image of anybody lobbing racial insults. If such comments actually were uttered, the NAACP and its leftist allies would have played them repeatedly to embarrass and humiliate Republicans, conservatives, and the allegedly racist tea party movement. In fact, no one whatsoever has claimed conservative activist Andrew Breitbart's $100,000 bounty for any documentary proof that these supposed race bombs ever were tossed at their targets.
Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity on Tuesday night played video footage from four different news cameras that captured the exact moment last March 20 when Rep. Carson says "maybe 15 people" yelled "N-word 15 times" as he walked outside the U.S. Capitol.
"They started surrounding us," he added, referring to him, Rep. Lewis, and Lewis' chief of staff. "It was like a page out of a time machine."
None of these four videotapes shows anything resembling Carson's scenario.
"The camera never blinks," newsman Dan Rather once wrote. It does not hallucinate, either.
Consider the tea party's Contract from America, a pledge to which it holds its endorsed candidates (TheContract.org).
Among 10 planks, it advocates a single-rate tax, a two-thirds-vote requirement for tax hikes, ObamaCare's repeal, and the defeat of cap-and-trade legislation. Nothing is even remotely related to race, ethnicity, or identity.
Wouldn't bigots devote at least one of 10 reforms to something racial?
The tea party movement avoids racial issues and instead advances lower taxes and spending and greater fiscal discipline. These issues are neither black nor white. They are green.
