Reward for Stolen Mojave Cross Now $125,000

MOJAVE NATIONAL PRESERVE -- An anonymous donation means there is a $125,000 reward posted for tips leading to the conviction of whoever stole a cross that served as a memorial to Americans who served during World War I.

A decorated military veteran offered $100,000 for the reward, said Kelly Shackelford, chief counsel for Liberty Institute. That figure was added to the previous $25,000 offer.

Liberty Institute is a conservative organization based in Plano, Texas, that is defending veterans groups who want the cross to stay in Mojave National Preserve. The cross stood at Sunrise Rock, which is about 15 miles south of the 15 Freeway along Cima Road. READ THE REST HERE:

     The UCC (United Church of Christ) has a long history of being anti-Israel.   But, even the UCC saw that it was in hot water with it's prejudiced stance(s) and decided to make a show (on paper at least) of 'changing things...to be a little more compassionate towards Israel'  http://www.zionism-israel.com/log/archives/00000399.html  This happened at the infamous Synod 2007.
      Don't let any UCC resolution fool you, for anti-Israel, anti-Semitic sentiment is alive and well in the United Church of Christ.  Yes, the UCC actually harbors those who 'hate the land and the peoples of Christ's birth and life'.  Not only do I not agree with this, but I cannot understand how anyone calling themselves 'Christian' can do such a thing!  If it weren't so disturbing, it would be amusing that a group which so carelessly labels people as 'racist and homophobe' cares so little for anyone outside of their progressive-lib circle, all while touting their welcoming 'culture'.  It's ironic.  It's sad.  It's pathetic.  And it's wrong.
     This is the denomination which spreads the racial hate of Rev Jeremiah Wright, Rev Otis Moss and cohorts while they decry and defame anyone who is 'doesn't support UCC polity and policy'.  The 'inclusive and affirming' culture the UCC is so proud of is a ruse.  The truth is that contrary to what the UCC says,  anyone moderate or conservative need not apply for membership or expect to be treated decently unless they are 'mute', donate lots of money and keep any moderate-conservative opinions they may have to themselves!

     People can lie to people, but it is sheer folly to even pretend to lie to God.  Anti-Semitism is alive and well in the UCC in a most insidious way, for they don't even acknowledge their own prejudices.  The denomination (movement)  I once defended manifested yet more hate yesterday, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, of all days.
      No acknowledgements and nothing even like common decency or trying to not mortally wound people ever entered the mind of UCC The Rev. Frederick A. Felger(ret.) of Omaha Palestinian Rights Task Force of Nebraskans for Peace today:
http://omaha.com/article/20100412/NEWS0802/704129983    He just had to vent his prejudice yesterday as many in the world honor Holocaust Remembrance Day.  He's just keeping on as 'retired' UCC clergy often do with their pensions secure, prattling on and on, still mired in the mindset of a bigoted age gone by.
     Maybe Rev Felger has hardening of the arteries of the brain like Rev. Wright must have when he gets off with his radical anti-American and anti-white spew.  I don't know.  All I do know is that the UCC, no matter what they say, fool fewer and fewer every day.  Their bank accounts show it.  They're so desperate to 'regroup' and get money anyway they can that they even have a new television commercial 'set to go viral' (UCC words) any day now.  So be it.
     We'll all be judged.  I am content that I am at a place where I need no longer defend the indefensible, praise God.  I am free and 'still speaking'.

     This is the first in a series of articles about President Barack Obama 'using' the United Church of Christ (UCC).  I'm going to let you reach your own conclusions about how faithful President Obama is to Christianity and the Muslim faith of his childhood...or to any faith for that matter.  Today, I cannot tell where his heart lies, but I do have these interesting documents to share with you which cover where he was 'at' before and during his presidential campaign.  
     You'll have to enlarge my scans and good luck finding the original postings online.  I only hope that President Obama has come to a place of peace in his own mind, heart, body and soul and that he will be able to share real truth with us.  All I pray for is decency for all people and I do so wish we can work together!
     The following is an admonition and warning to the UCC (United Church of Christ) to be careful way back in 2007 when President Obama used our church Synod 2007 to launch his political campaign.  The warning was well-placed; it turned out that the IRS tried to sue the UCC for conducting political campaign 'stuff' at a big church meeting (Synod 2007).  Nothing came of that law-suit and I do not know from whence it arose.
     I'm not an attorney as many UCC Clergy are (especially black clergy) but I do know that there was a great deal of 'electioneering' and 'politicking' going on at Synod 2007 which I attended as a (reluctant) voting delegate from CT, no matter what anyone says.
     I saw voter sign-up tables and all sorts of Obama campaign activities, all enforced by big black guys from the private sector, plus the Secret Service.  It was a real zoo in Hartford, CT, June 2007 with all the politics.  It broke my heart to learn how political my church was (I was a very timid and quiet moderate-conservative at the time) and  I lost my 'political innocence' that week. 
     Now it's 'in your face' politics and I am sad for it, especially since the perpetrators 'scrubbed and scrub their websites' as necessary.   I also never had experienced that before June 2007.
     My wake-up call came when Jeffrey Lord from 'Politico' contacted me.  I thought he was just a member of the UCC (so politically naive was I) and gave my innermost thoughts to him in email.  Maybe I can find a copy of those thoughts and share them with you.  My only fear is that even I realize what a jerk I was.  
      In any case, on this Holocaust Remembrance Day 2010, I am sick-at-heart that I once supported those who are so anti-Jewish and anti-Semitic.  Like with gay rights and civil rights issues, I fully expect to be disappointed by the UCC, which I am still a member of, technically.  It's at that same Synod 2007 in Hartford President Obama spoke at that the UCC decided to 'tone down' it's pro-Palestinian/anti-Isreal sentiment, with a new 'Resolution'.  Better late than never for Christ's kinsman, I always say.
     Maybe the UCC will  bring back the 'stocks' or I'll be stoned or excommunicated like the good Pilgrim Church (The First Congregational Church of Stamford) gathered in 1635 used to do.  That would be a most appropriate validation of the culture over there.  This is what I get for daring to not be so cooperative, for opening my mouth and for being less generous with my tithing money.  I still love the UCC, the people in it and my country and President, but they're not making it easy.  I guess that's what is meant when it is said that 'it's easy to love one's friends, but not so much one's enemies"...if I had any enemies, that is.
     The good news is that through my trials at church, I did finally hear the call of God.  They'd been telling me for years that "I should go to Seminary" and I said "No".  Now, instead of a fancy ivy-league degree, I am satisfied with the lowest of the low work and it suits me well.  I'll tell you about my Southern sojourn and retreats for God another time, but suffice it to say that all that's transpired suits me very well.

Sirens wailed across Israel Monday morning, as Israelis stood in silence in memory of the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust.

Israeli officials, Holocaust survivors and foreign dignitaries are in Jerusalem for solemn ceremonies in observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day. This year's theme at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial is the "Voices of the Survivors."

All across Israel, flags are flying at half-staff, places of entertainment are closed, and radio and television broadcasts are dedicated to remembering the Holocaust.

More than 200,000 Holocaust survivors currently live in Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the opening ceremonies Sunday evening that free societies should have learned from the Holocaust the danger of remaining quiet in the face of evil.

U.S. President Barack Obama recognized Holocaust Remembrance Day by saying the "hateful stereotypes and prejudice" against Jewish people must not be tolerated.
