Dear Ones:

     Please pray with me just now for all who suffer from liver problems all over the world.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we know that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Your 'design' of us...and your designs for us are a neverending source of wonder and, at times, confusion and anxiety.

Please help us to best understand your Will for us, that we might learn to deal with whatever afflictions we may have.

We know illness strikes young and old, alike...sometimes in what seems like 'out of the blue'...and sometimes as a result of our own 'foolishness'.

Yet, still, you are with us O Lord with your steadfast love.

You are there with us at all times with a love that refreshes itself continually,

Just as the very cells of the human liver refresh and replace themselves continually, 

So great is your 'Grand Design'.

And as we need only the smallest bit of love to carry on, 

So it is with the amazing liver....the smallest bit 'transplanted', even 'one-quarter'...can help us to continue on and give a grateful recipient a full life, once again.

You ever cleanse us, Lord, with your Love and Hope and Faith,

And you have provided our 'temporary vessels' with an organ of cleansing, as well.

So now we pray fervently for all who suffer from any and all diseases and illnesses of the liver that they be uplifted right now and unafraid.

For we understand that nothing is impossible with our Great Healer.

We are grateful, O God, that you take the time to listen to this our humble prayer of ours.

As we pray these things in our individual traditions, which for Christians is

DARIEN -- A day-long search for a missing Darien teen ended at about 11:15 Monday night, when police say a family member found 16-year-old Zachary Gallo on Hope Street in Stamford.

Darien, Stamford and Norwalk police had been searching since early Monday morning for Gallo, who has autism and left his Hoyt Street home late Sunday night.

Sgt. Jeremiah Marron, a Darien Police Department spokesman, said Gallo was unharmed and in good physical condition when found by the family member, who he said was in from out of town.

Marron said police do not suspect foul play, but the incident remains under investigation by the Darien Police Youth Division.

Lt. Ronald Bussell, who leads the town's detective bureau, said Monday that the department and others searched the town's 13 square miles without finding Gallo earlier in the day.

Gallo, of 103 Hoyt St., was reported missing at 7 a.m.Monday after he was last seen between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

A police source said the boy left a note for his parents saying he wanted to harm himself. In the note, the boy said he was heading for The Cove.

On Monday, Norwalk police sent a team of officers and a police dog, who unsuccessfully tried to run a track on the boy near St. John's Cemetery, near the boy's home.

Stamford police Capt. William Mullin said Stamford Marine Police had also undertaken a search for the boy.

Police said Gallo left his cell phone at his home and was unable to be contacted on Monday.

Police have released a photo of Zachary Gallo, pictured at right.
"We have reason to believe that Zach is potentially an endangered at-risk individual," Darien police Capt. Fred Komm said in an email Monday. (Note from Rev. Barb: it has now been disclosed that Zach has autism.)
Police are seeking the public's help in locating missing teenager Zachary Gallo, 16, of Darien.
Gallo is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 185 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said he is known to wear his hair slicked back and his jeans rolled up to his ankles.
The teenager was last seen by his parents between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Sunday at their Hoyt Street residence, police said. He was reported missing around 7 a.m. Monday.
Gallo reportedly left his cell phone at home.
"Exhaustive efforts have been made by this department and others to locate this young man," said Lt. Thomas Krois, including patrols and K-9 searches of the area. Stamford and Norwalk police were among the agencies participating in the search.
Gallo attends school at Cooperative Educational Services in Trumbull. Krois said Gallo's interests did not point to an obvious destination for the teenager.
Anyone who sees Gallo or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Darien Police Department immediately at 203-662-5301.

Holy God:  
Please, we pray that Zachary be safe & brought back into the embrace of his loving family.
Impel all in SW CT and elsewhere to actively search for this precious child, that he be brought back home, well and unharmed.
Lord have mercy and see that this 16-yr-old be returned to safety and quell the fears of parents everywhere who live in dread of the loss of a child in situations like this.
Embolden us to act definitively, reminding us that we are not on this earth alone, for our brothers and sisters and their children are here, too!
We pray these things in the name of Your Precious Son Jesus Christ.
And we ask our Savior's Mother Mary to intercede at this moment...she who taught us that 'all life is precious'...she who never ignores the righteous pleas of mothers and their children.

Please, pray with me now for family and friends and all affected by the recent explosion and shootings in Norway on July 22, 2011:

Dear Father, we know that you are Lord of all...believers and non-believers, alike. 

Some of us have faith now...and others are yet to be 'gifted' with it.  And sometimes it takes a tragedy like this for us to even begin to contemplate the frailty of our existence.

And so we turn to you in our grief over the Oslo explosion and the Utoya shootings.

We pray that you will help us to accept the unacceptable.

We pray that you will strengthen us to forbear at this time, to render help, to uplift and support those whose loved ones have fallen.

And we ask that you teach each of us, dear God, to be globally compassionate in a way which honors the innocence of the precious lives just taken.

Chasten us to realize how precious life, itself, is...and how, like a candle, it can be snuffed out in a moment.

Teach us discernment, so that we may detect and protect ourselves against those who wish us harm, yet live in harmony despite humanity's many differences.

And, finally we beseech you for peace of heart, for the realization that though the body will decay, the spirit carries on, so that we may learn to make our lives have value and meaning for the short time we walk this earth.

Remind us relentlessly, Father, that love is eternal and that to love we must always turn, no matter the circumstances--

And, so, comfort grieving mothers and fathers and sons and daughters, aunts, uncles, grandparents, brothers and sisters, cousins, extended family, friends and even...pets...left behind at this time in the aftermath of these terrible tragedies.

Surely the world you made for us is big enough that we might all live in harmony!

Do grant us these things, we do humbly pray, O Lord, with tears and fears and trembling hearts as we petition YOU in our individual and universal traditions...

"Would you please pray for my aunt who has breast cancer, my friend Mia who is brokenhearted, my friend Adam, my friend Mira who is suffering from inner demons and depression, my grandmother's friend for an upcoming surgery, for my dad who is under a lot of stress, for the world and nature people, and also for God to grant favor on my very own miracle request(God knows what I am searching for). I'm in a great relationship with a man named A.P. He's an amazing guy and I could see myself having a lifetime with him. Happy together. And I believe in it because it seems so real to me. Its all I ever truly want. I repent of all my sins and will do anything to retrieve that wish/ this miracle. Eventually falling in love, marriage, kids, and just being each other's best friends and lovers to the end. To be patient with each other, genuinely care and compassionate for each other, be the best for each other(effort)respect each other, grow to be good people with the help of each other, never take advantage of each other, take each other for granted(never), forgive each other and resolve (our) problems, comfort each other, laugh with each other, be open to each other, honesty, trust, trustworthy, to have our potential love to grow and nurture, our interest in each other to prosper and nurture, faithful to each other, to have an open hearted and opened minded relationship, to accept/ understand each other, and to have a bond and connection that is emotional, mental, and physical. I believe in this and have faith. I promise to serve with God forever if this is granted. Read the bible. Be involved with the church and our kids to be involved. Be more outgoing and understand and accept my fellow man. Forgive me for all my sins. I don't deserve this much happiness. Do many people are suffering. Please, please always pray for them. Always. No one should be forgotten or alone. To take things slowly and get to know each other. To for each other and of each other. Dear God:


Please hear this prayer from the American people for our Japanese brothers and sisters.


At this time we come to you as your children around the world, fully united in our faith in you.


We pray for those who suffer and weep at the grievous losses in Japan.


Have mercy on this great Nation, with whom the USA  has not always had a peaceful co-existence.


Fully unite us now as never before, Heavenly Father, in the forgiveness, reconciliation, love and respect that has grown between us, in a mission to provide for those most in need at this time with aid and comfort.


And let no other Nations on earth turn their backs on the Japanese people in their distress, we ask of you Lord,  our Creator who controls all of Heaven and earth.


Please cut short the days of woe and misery for our friends overseas, that they may be restored to a moment of calm in order to properly mourn their dead.


Help Japan HEAL, dear Father, as only you can do, and help it rebuild and experience the blessing of rebirth.


Most especially help our friends in Japan deal with all terrifying nuclear aftermath, a situation which by it's very essence, opens old hurts, wounds and decisions of an era long gone.


We pray that you will imbue the brave and stoic Japanese people with the powerful strength of Spirit only you can give to any person.


In the traditions of our individual religious backgrounds, we pray these things.

"A Prayer For Someone In Need Of A Liver Transplant-Please Pray With Me Right Now For Jessica Maranelli" By Reverend Barbara Sexton 'Dear Ones Healing Ministry'

Dear Ones:
     On this first day of Lent, I received this urgent PRAYER REQUEST.  (Note: Jessica is Lisa Prizio's niece) 

Dear Friends

John & Cindy Maranelli's daughter Jessica was rushed to Columbia Children's

Hospital tonight. The Doctors there determined her liver has stopped functioning.

She will need a liver transplant ASAP to survive. Please pray for God's will to be done.

Please pray that through this pain God's Glory will be revealed to all. Please pray our

Lord will spare her life and heal her body.

Thank you in advance for all your urgently needed prayers.

From Rev. Barb-Please pray with me:

Lord God, we enter this Lenten Season and we remember Jesus's forty days in the wilderness.

We are in our 'own' wilderness now and we come to you with prayers for your child Jessica Maranelli and her parents John and Cindy and their friends and family.

Please have mercy on them, dear Father.

Please heal this teen with the gift of life and end her suffering.

We pray that she may live a complete and happy life, doing all good works in your Name.

We pray that she may be as a 'living testimony' to your Goodness and Faithfulness, even as we realize that short of a miracle, a gift for Jessica can only result from the loss of the earthly life of another.

To that end, we pray not solely for the Maranellis, but also for the 'donor family' we may yet meet and thank for their incredible love in the face of incredible loss.

Today we 'fear' when we should not, and we are 'tempted' in our weakness at this time and so we pray actually for 'that miracle cure', if it be Your Will, so that none must lose their earthly lives.

Absent your sudden Intervention this way, we are content to know that Jessica and all those who suffer acutely need only know the Promise you assure us of when we are 'transplanted' to Eternal Life...

In that Life we are free of all sadness and pain, after lives well-lived here and lessons learned through our Creator,

When our 'work here' is completed, we look forward to an Eternal Life reunited with our loved ones, fully restored to a 'perfect health', thanks to You alone...

And we thank you for the Promises you make to us, dear Lord.

We are faithful and we love you for them, even as we ask you to bless Jessica's doctors, surgeons and health care advisers in all their endeavors to save her life.

We pray these things in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit

Dear Ones All Over The World:
     I ask believers and non-believers alike to pray for the poor souls in NEW ZEALAND--in Christchurch, especially--who are suffering grief and loss at the hands of a devastating set of earthquakes.

Let us pray:

Dear God:

The world comes to you right now, with tearful prayers of supplication that you somehow relieve the grievous suffering of people in New Zealand.

We ask that you alleviate their misery and uncertainty.

We ask that you make your Presence profoundly known to those who are trapped, dead and dying...

And to those who lay buried and injured as they await rescue.

Lord God, have mercy on rescue crews, emergency personnel, triage workers, medical staff, disaster response volunteers, social workers and clergy being called to action in this great catastrophe.

Lord God, have compassion for those who suffer the loss of loved ones, cruelly torn from them, at this time--those 'found' and those many more not yet found.

Only you Father can provide us with what we need to withstand the horror present today in New Zealand in the aftermath of these earthquake events.

You alone know the 'purpose' of such devastation, as we depend upon only our faith to sustain us.

We look forward to the day when there is no more suffering and crying and we pray that that day comes soon, Lord.

Dear Ones:

     I ask all in the world who read this to please join me right now to pray for Rhonda McGlinn who is in extreme pain due to an injurious fall.

Let us pray:

Lord God, hear our prayer.


We seek your Comfort when we are most in need, for we know you never fail us.


While we do not understand the purpose behind the pain and injury we might receive, we trust in your Judgement and Wisdom regarding your intentions for us.


Still, we ask, "Why must we suffer?  Why must your child Rhonda McGlinn suffer as she does?  What is your purpose for her?"


Please, Heavenly Father, relieve Rhonda's suffering and help her to discern just what is going on in her life at this time and help her to understand the reason for her suffering, and by extension, the suffering of her family and friends.


Please have mercy on Rhonda, Lord, and on all others who grieve and mourn for their loss of good health and well-being. 

Bless Rhonda with the strength and grace to bear what she must until she is healed and may her journey from pain to wellness be a testimony to you.


We are ever expectant, our loving Father...ever faithful and ever grateful and we thank you for all good things on earth and in Heaven.

Please pray with me.
Dear Father in Heaven: You know our wants and needs even before we do, Lord. We turn to You today with fervent hearts as we pray for the shooter's victims and families and friends...
for the shooter and his family and friends...
for the nation so distressed by the Loughner shooting...
for our government officials
and for their families and friends...
for all afflicted with mental and emotional illnesses and/or substance-abuse and for all of us voicing our cares and concerns for such as these.
Please shield us from our 'enemies', whoever they may be.
And please hurry along the return of your Precious Son to earth,
which is 'nonsense to the perishing' and the very hope of Salvation for the billions of Christians around the globe.
We pray these things in the Strong Name of Jesus Christ

Dear Ones:
     Recently, I put out a plea for prayers for my Uncle Charlie Eichhorn of Texas who broke his hip, had surgery and subsequently suffered from unconsciousness and days & nights of 'delirium' with O2 sats in the 56% range.

     Not good.
     It appears as though he may have been given 'inappropriate medication dosages'--several times, in fact and that's all I can say about that at this time.
     Anyway, yesterday he 'woke up' and asked for food and ate some scrambled eggs!  Then he was tested for LOC (level of consciousness) and passed with flying colors.  There was no brain damage from lack of O2.
     He was ordered to do so brief 'bedside exercises' and got 'hungry enough' to ask for more to eat.
     I don't know about you, but when someone is written off for 'dead' and has his family told to 'come say their final goodbye's...and then that someone asks for 'a bagel with lox and cream cheese with chopped onions on the side', you've got to figure you have a MIRACLE on your hand.
     This is not the first 'miraculous recovery' for Uncle Charlie, either.  Any WW II Aviator tough enough to survive Okinawa, is a 'tough bird', indeed.
     Almost two decades ago, U.C. was diagnosed with enlarged heart and untreatable congestive heart failure and was sent home 'to die'.  The Grace of God and alternative therapies saw that that did not happen!
    I am humbled and thankful and praise God for being so kind and merciful to us with Uncle Charlie once again.
    And I thank all of you who prayed for him when I put out that global shout-out. 
    I am ever grateful to God and to you, my dear Readers, for being so gifted with strong faith.
    Thank you and thank you!

Dear Ones:
     Today I have a very personal and special prayer request.  Please pray for my Uncle Charlie Eichhorn in Texas. 
     He broke his hip and had surgery yesterday and today took a turn for the worse.
     Uncle Charlie is a 'tough old bird' and I'm sure he will be alright.  You can thank him for a good number of the features seen here on this Blog, in fact. (see keyword 'Uncle Charlie' below)
     God is good and He brings us together during times such as this and whenever and wherever He is needed, and so I reach out to you--my fellow Believers--in the world.
     Thank you and God Bless You for caring enough to pray for my Uncle.

     Please pray with me right now in THANKS to the LORD for sparing the Chilean miners recently rescued from their entrapment:
Dear Lord--
How quickly we come to you in our distress,
And how ready we are to run to you in our times of need. 
We remember here and now to thank you for being there and for answering us as always you do.
When we triumph through your Grace, we can be quick to forget...though in our hearts, we know that we need to remember you at all times.
Please accept our grateful thanks today, right here, right now, as we realize these things.
We say 'thank you dear Father' from all of us for saving our brothers-the Chilean miners.
