Dear Ones:
     Unfortunately, information on this case is both slow in coming and is, apparently, being suppressed by the progressive liberal press.
     Please -- whatever your race and political 'persuasion', suppress your anger and try not to let things get out of control.
     I am taking my 'own advice', just so you know.  I told my daughter last night, "I am ALMOST sorry about all of my 'civil rights work'."
     She said, "Please--don't be that way".
     I thought about it, and I really am 'trying not to be that way'.
     But to hear of a WW II Okinawa WW II veteran beaten to death as so much 'fodder' for lowlifes who have no respect for life....I have to wonder.
     I'm trying not to succumb to anger in this area where Progressive Liberalism and 'White Privilege Initiatives' prevail.
     I'm trying to live the Gospel by not promoting vengeance and violence -- and by concentrating on my own 'spiritual self'.
     Yet a little part of me wants to say to all good, law-abiding people, Christian or not, to not be lulled into some kind of karmic 'trance' believing that racial tension does not exist any more.
     We are not in a 'post-racial period' and we have problems on the horizon, the likes of which we have not seen before in our fine country.
     Join me in believing these words:

Dear Ones:
     In my upcoming book 'Entertaining Angels' (due to be released Dec. 21, 2012), I go to great pains to describe how 'insulated' many of us were from 'the real world' as uniform-wearing members of The Salvation Army.
     I was an exception, for  I personally watched 'cable news'...usually CNN.  And when the 'Gulf Wars' were in full effect, I actually asked 'the guys' to scrounge around for a small t.v. set so I could watch the action in 'real time'.
     Ever a fan of the superb technology of the Mossad (responsible for the very best of 'night-vision technology'), I watched tracer rounds and 'hits' directed with surgical accuracy by our finest of U.S. military forces.
     I read the newspapers and kept current on the 'big things' going on in the world, unlike many of my Salvation Army cohorts.
     I knew one young lady, an officer-school candidate, in fact, who 'hadn't read a newspaper in over two and a half years', according to her own reports.
     Judging from her 'lack of knowledge about the world', I would have to vouch that her claim was true....Though, at the time, I could not understand how she could 'exist' that way.
     On the other hand, politics never was something I either stayed on top of or got involved in.  I was 'apolitical' and proud of it to a certain degree.
     But that was actually a foolish philosophy, for Christ, himself, was hardly 'apolitical'.  He gave it to politico-religious leaders but GOOD, at times!
     And Jesus provided sure 'guidelines' for us in terms of 'serving two masters' and 'giving Cesaer his due', so I cannot say that I was not forewarned about what my life would later hold in surprise for me.
     Fast forward to 2007 summertime, June to be exact.  My local church pleaded with me to 'be their voting delegate' and to 'represent them' at the United Church of Christ (UCC) 'Synod 2007' in Hartford, CT.
     "Why ME?", I asked, without a scintilla of false modesty.  I felt their 'choice' was ludicrous!
     I was 'apolitical' (as I've said before), deliberately withholding my political views from the congregation, for I felt them to be utterly IRRELEVENT to my ministerial and counseling duties, such as they were.
     Yet, all claimed that 'I was the woman for the job' without the slightest consideration that I just might be the 'moderate-conservative' amongst them.
     I'm sorry, but if my Salvation Army background and obvious pro-life, pro-right-to-bear-arms and pro-capital punishment (in certain cases) stances weren't a dead 'give-away', I don't know what would be.
     The congregation responsible for my becoming suddenly political knew very well how strongly I subscribe to the tenets of the Bible as my Father in Heaven dictates...Not something the UCC is very notorious for.
     Yet, still they persisted and ultimately I was persuaded to attend SYNOD 2007.
     Let me now cut to the chase with this entire-church UCC 'meeting':  When I 'hit' the Hartford Civic Center, the 'keynote speaker' was one then-Senator Barack Obama.
     All were greeted out front by 'guys in suits and bow-ties', the Secret Service, and lines and lines of tables of 'Democratic operatives' who were 'signing up' and registering voters in bulk.
     I freaked.
     I was incensed to learn that this 'Synod-In-The-City' was nothing more than a 'first campaign speech opportunity' for then-Senator Barack Obama.
     Silly me--I'd actually expected for this to be a 'religious' meeting of sorts, sub-texted by some sociological workshops and an assortment of agenda items for which I would faithfully represent my local church.
     Truth to tell, until this point, I was willing to put my personal opinions aside and 'vote on behalf of my local church (FCC Stamford)' as God so directed me.  The congregation had sent me there to do just that, hadn't they?
     But once I saw all the blatant electioneering (which apparently was not witnessed by many in the UCC at all, for some strange reason!), I welched.
     The Senator Barack Obama and myself belonged to the same 'church', alright, but there was no way, no how I could sanction the rhetoric and actions of one Reverend Jeremiah Wright and company, whom Senator Obama so righteously 'admired'.
     Indeed, it only got worse for me as I returned to Stamford and finding myself in the untenable position of having to 'defend' Wright while entertaining concerns and complaints (from both the congregation and the community)  about the obvious racism in 'Black Liberation Theology'.
     I tried to 'defend things' a few times, and then said, 'to heck with it'.  This dog was not going to fly.
     Since my political awakening in 2007, I have witnessed Wright's 'fall from grace', UCC President John Thomas's 'fall from grace', and any number of truly disturbing and revolting shenanigans eeked out by 'the UCC religious community' under the guise of 'Christianity in action'.
     Well, it's anything but Christianity and so much more like a socio-political machine that certain individuals (I am not one of them, for the record) lodged a complaint with the IRS regarding the UCC's 'tax-emempt' status.
     The UCC 'skated', of course, and Obama resigned from this church.  Since then, a cascade of events has occurred which has rendered the UCC impotent and essentially 'broke'.
     There is no hope of it reactivating itself as the 'political machine' it once was, fighting so hard to get President Obama elected, for the simple reasons that they haven't the money and they are under 'scrutiny' should they ever try to play 'loose and free' with the concept of 'separation of church and state' again!
     The last thing 'they' need to do is to jeopardize their 'tax-exempt status'...again.
     Still, some effects from Synod 2007 persist, one of which is my 'personal politicization'.
      Never again will my 'Christian conscience' be totally divorced from the theater of politics.
     And never again will I ever trust a 'leader' or 'body' (religious or otherwise) engaged in the political machine while daring to claim 'theological superiority' on ANYTHING...for I know such an entity does not exist apart from the grace of God.
     Suffice it to say that I now look upon the 2012 election cycle with a mixture of cynicism, disgust, dread, hope, promise and hope--once again-- for change.

     That's not going to happen.
     Our eyes are opened now and we are 'still raw' from the Bridgeport 'voter fraud' scandal of the 2010 elections here in the Nutmeg State.
     So while the 'bulk' of the Democratic 'libs' think their day in the sun is a 'lock', that is far from a sure thing this go-round.
     Voters are disappointed and sick and tired of this abysmal economy...and many are totally apathetic.
     In short, 2012 is NOT going to be a repeat of 2008.

     I want a better future for the next generation and those to come afterwards. And that is why I am a proud TEA PARTY PATRIOT.

     In America, I expect that we each can define OURSELVES by our words, deeds and actions.  And I suggest that any 'pseudo-welcoming/affirming/inclusive' Progressive Liberals' GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

     Instead of proffering forth your own warped and corrupt 'version' of what YOU THINK the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS are all about...let's look at what is happening in our country even as we speak.

     We're 'broke'.  We're disenfranchised.  We're overly 'Obamafied' and it's time for a change.

     So if today's economic news has you down...if you are unemployed, still or again...if you are disgusted by what passes as 'acceptable' in places like Syria where the American Flag is burned and desecrated as so much trash....Just keep on keeping on with whatever you are doing with your fellow Progressive Liberal cohorts.

     But Heaven forbid you should THINK AND MAKE JUDGEMENTS for YOURSELVES!  The libs currently in power wouldn't LIKE that, would they?

     But if you've HAD IT, go to the Greenwich-Stamford TEA PARTY PATRIOTS meeting TONIGHT, details above.

     YOU can make a difference!

     YOU can stop the financial hemorrhaging of our fine country with it's ridiculous and dangerous political course under the leadership of the current administration.

     Or, you can just sit there and believe everything your beloved Progressive Lib Machine spits out at you about the TEA PARTY.

     You can just 'sit there' and believe all the 'global village hyperbole', while Chicago suffers Arizona burns and Connecticut goes bankrupt...Why should YOU care?

     But for all others, you know the drill: 

     Tonight 7-9 PM.  

     Whether Democrat or Republican or Independent, your voice needs to be heard and not just 'paid lip service to' by those with nothing more than their own selfish political ambitions.

     If you are tired of the politics of blind hate, check out the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS for yourselves and prepare for a very pleasant and encouraging experience.

     We are EVERYONE who values and cherishes the AMERICAN TRADITION, no matter who you are, where you are from, what political affiliation you have, if any,  what color you happen to be, what religion you either are or are not, what you do for a living and who your family was or is.

     I pray you, do NOT believe all the negative things you hear about the TEA PARTY PATRIOTS!

     Lies abound.  Progressive Lib politicos seek to hobble liberals and those with good intentions with fabricated stories about those 'not like themselves', which are unwholesome and patently UNTRUE!

     Please don't FALL FOR IT!

     We are all-together 'AMERICANS' in the best sense of the word and I ask you to join us, especially here in Connecticut where so many have 'lost their way' and become 'lovers of themselves' instead of 'loving others as they, themselves' would like to be loved.

     We know that all major religions of the world (and all dynamic 'life-paradigms') subscribe to some version or other of 'the Golden Rule'.

     This is part of what has made America great in the past and will, by the grace of God, make America great, again, in the future.

     Help with that at this time in history, won't you?

     Be bold, be brave and be relentless and you will be blessed no matter what your religious persuasion may happen to be, this much I can promise.

"Please Join Me In Prayer For FCC Stamford Right Now" By Reverend Barbara Sexton 'Dear Ones Healing Ministry'

Dear Ones:
     I hardly ever ask you for a very personal prayer, but I must now.
     Please pray for my church FCC Stamford (The First Congregational Church of Stamford CT).
     This is the 'church that founded Stamford'.
     This is the church that celebrated 'the first Thanksgiving', right here in New England with the Native Americans...both of whom I love so much.
     FCC Stamford was 'gathered' in 1635 and that has to count for something.
     But now it is literally at risk of total collapse.
     This is the church that was 'right and ready' at old 'Fort Stamford' to meet the needs of the people, so many years ago.
     Yet here, today, we are 'at each others' throats' over base things like politics, gay rights, power and money.
     Truly, we are in trouble and I am putting a call out for all 'prayer warriors' everywhere in the world to petition God on behalf of our church so that we do not fail due to human shortcomings.
     Yesterday, our pastor The Rev. Dr. Cari Jackson RESIGNED suddenly and abruptly, without any notice and she left the church in a state of crisis.

     Lord God, I humbly ask that you will make things right and help us see our way,
     Myself, I also ask dear Mother Mary to please intervene on my behalf and on the behalf of those who have lost their way at FCC Stamford.  I pray that you will open the minds and the hearts of those who no longer believe in the sanctity of YOU...especially the gay people amongst us who feel so unwanted and unloved.
     Help us all remember that you are the mother of our Risen Lord.
     Help us all remember to cast aside Christian denominational differences, 
     And help us to always remember to  pray FIRST to GOD THE FATHER and to our Brother, your Precious Son JESUS, to the Holy Spirit and also to YOU, dear Lady.
     I thank you Holy Trinity and dear Blessed Mother as your daughter for listening to all this.

'THANK YOU, DONALD THE REVEALOR' for 'getting' President Obama to finally release his 'long-form birth certificate'!

It is NOT 'silliness' by any means.  Pursuing the truth is never meaningless, especially when it pertains to the welfare of our country.

Please try to ignore the bullying from the Progressive Left.  After a while you get used to the name-calling and snide remarks about your appearance and learn to take it in stride.

That's all the Left knows and it's just how they roll when something happens to raise their 'discomfort levels'.

I don't know what it is that was released on April 27, 2011, exactly, but you must have done some good to get such a profound response from so many.

I do, however, know something of the etiology of the phenomenon known as the 'Obama Presidency' and can tell you flat-out that what I witnessed was a real eye-opener for someone who, up until then, was almost totally apolitical!

As a member of the 'Obama/Wright' church, the UCC, I was witness to a most interesting 'interaction' of 'church and state' in Hartford, CT at 'Synod 2007'.

It caused me to become 'politically aware' almost overnight and OH HOW I WISHED a 'DONALD THE REVEALOR' would come along to get to the bottom of a few things!

And HERE YOU ARE, at last!

Politics kind of reminds me of the ballet.  Just look at how beautiful these 'pointe' shoes above, for instance.

Don't let these 'babies' fool you!  Such 'delicate' pointe shoes are pliable, tough, sturdy, hardy and can withstand an unbelievable amount of punishment...as do the feet that wear them.

And make no mistake: the slimmest 'gams', the most elegant of ankle-line is a spectre with the strength of steel while pounding the stage floor in front of the masses.  No role for 'weaklings', this.

In action, beautiful ballet shoes are noisy, sweaty, dirty, smelly and quite painful at times when injuries are present--as are the feet and legs which wear them.

In grace of line and dance and politics, there is an undeniable undercurrent of blatant brutality and real-time suffering.

It may 'look' graceful on the surface, true to purpose and faithful to the heart.

But when once in a while, we are allowed access to the 'secret world' which lies below politics and pirouettes, we just might learn that 'something really stinks'!

Of course President Obama calls your venture to 'look at his records' 'silliness'.

Well, let me tell you: pursuing the truth is never 'silliness'.

Nor is it meaningless, no matter what anyone says.

  

So I, for one, THANK YOU, 'DONALD THE REVEALOR' TRUMP for furthering the case for truthful disclosure.

     John's mother Margaret Thomas was a beloved life-long member of FCC Stamford (also known as 'The First Congregational Church of Stamford') long-remembered for her stalwart faithfulness to our church and it's members, as well as for her 'forward-looking' personal theology embraced by the UCC-at-large.

     Margaret was ever-proud of the influence her son John had for decades on not only our local church, but internationally, as well...heady influence, indeed.
     This is not to say that all of us at FCC Stamford agreed with her and her son's convictions, for we did not.  Nevertheless, we kept tithing in good and with good faith.
     A handful of us would have no part of violation of our second amendment (gun) rights, Black Liberation Theology, politicking in the Sanctuary during Worship Services, blanket right to abortion at all stages, including late-term abortion, comprehensive 'blessing' and 'performance' of same-sex marriages in church Sanctuaries, and--a real sticking point for me: the severe anti-Israel, anti-Semitic sentiment of John Thomas and the UCC-at-large.

     The few of us balked and still do at various UCC 'resolutions' and 'statements' and refused to 'sign onto' a number of them.  But none of that matters anymore, for the precepts above are now fully ingrained into the UCC and FCC in Connecticut and the rest of the country.  
     What does matter, though, is the IMPACT the Thomas church and theology currently has on the citizens here in Southwestern CT and specifically in Stamford!
     Today's FCC Stamford's 'relatively new' pastor Rev. Cari Jackson feeds the flames of the Progressive Lib church culture in the church that John Thomas hails from. 
     Jackson furthers what Thomas planted and fomented over the decades of his life here in Southwestern Connecticut.    
     And this same church has increasing involvement with The Interfaith Council of Southwestern Connecticut and The Rev. Kate Heichler, Rabbi Josh Hammerman and others who 'speak for and represent' the 'faith community'.

     Now the 'John Thomas tradition' permeates Stamford's Mayor Pavia's new 'Multicultural Council', as well, which I find to be 'kind of strange' for a so-called 'Republican', Pavia:

     As a TEA PARTY PATRIOT in Progressive Lib Connecticut, I wonder if anyone is looking out for TAXPAYER MONEY with Mayor Pavia's newly-established 'Multicultural Council'?
     Have all the 'religious parties involved' with this new council been properly 'vetted'?
     I've written before about my concern's for pro-Muslim sentiment generated in Southwestern Connecticut. 
     And with this piece, I am taking us all 'out of our comfort zones' to address a very real example of the foolishness of mixing 'politics and religion'.
     It will be interesting to see if the 'John Thomas Scandal' so in the tradition of Swaggart, Bakker, Long and company ultimately impels the probably well-intentioned-though-perpetually-misguided Interfaith Council of SW CT to 'straighten up and fly right'.
     Money talks when all good persuasions cannot.  It is not the root of all evil, but the love of money most certainly is.
     Let that 'love' be looked into on behalf of TAXPAYERS all over the United States, especially when it comes to 'religious types' preaching 'politics from the pulpit'.
     It's the right thing to do and will lessen the possibility that good people will be taken advantage of by those like John Thomas and the ones over whom his vast influence extends.

     Therefore, I urge all people of good faith to steward themselves, lest they try to proffer forth anything that will mislead the easily-mislead public.

     When John Thomas got arrested in October 2007 for attempting to storm the White House with a stack of sexual-libertine doctrine, "Thomas reminded the crowd of martyred theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who said, "The church has been a silent partner in evil deeds...We are breaking that silence today".
     All I have to say is 'he-Thomas-would know'...and yes I am.
     I thank God that Margaret was 'spared witness' of the downfall of her son, but truly he has fooled us all.

Dear Ones:
     I think the President is struggling to find his 'true spiritual center'. He lacks a 'spiritual advisor' as far as the public knows, and his last one was a disaster politically for him.
     I can understand his being 'wary' of such advisors. And I understand him being wary of his/our former affiliation with the United Church of Christ, the UCC. It's a mish-mash of uber 'if it feels good and raises money, let's do it' theology with little accountability to anyone.
     But the UCC did provide a 'platform' for President Obama to deliver his first Presidential campaign speech (his/their words) in June of 2007 in Hartford, CT.
     Trouble is, the UCC is dying on the vine and I don't think they'd take the chance of being accused of 'breaching the line between church and state' again. 
     All things considered, both Mr. Obama and myself are well rid of close association with that group...though I am still, technically, a member and for all we know, he, too, has maintained at least 'associative' status there. 
     Considering the 'kill the white devil' and 'chickens coming home to roost' mentality of Reverend Jeremiah Wright and company, it would be a real shame for our first black president to still be on board with that, don't you think?
      Surely we are all expecting better of him, this President who claims to 'want to unify', than to embrace 'Black Liberation Theology', right?
       It is quite possible that Obama is the 'new and improved President Obama'.  He may actually have had some understanding of how hateful and hurtful his beloved Chicago Trinity Church's teachings are to anyone 'not like they are'.
     It could be our President has morphed.
     If so, he should make amends and 'declare a new spiritual home',based on 'improved counsel'.  Be it church or mosque or a place where both reign (such as the UCC), he really should say so.
      What is there to hide, anyway?
     Obama knows by now that he is bound to anger many, no matter who or what he chooses, the unenviable position for someone who is so high-profile.
     But if the President wishes to remain in his 'high-profile position', he needs to come clean with us regarding the church-dealings/events/venues he used so freely last go-round. 
      Indeed, those pesky 2012 elections are coming up and if Barack Obama hopes to avail himself again of that glorious 'worship bully pulpit', he needs to act and act fast.
     We believers know that at the end of the day, President Obama will be judged just like the rest of us poor slobs, for all he has done and said and not done and left unsaid. 
     Someday he will have to explain how he left the Muslim v. Christian controversy 'float' for so long and what his 'motives' are for doing so.  A simple statement would go a long way Mr. President.
     Alas, we are born alone, we die alone and we will have to account for ourselves--alone.
     It's true.
     So I do pray President Obama has or will have the spiritual discernment to make wise choices for himself and his family with that 'free will' the Good Lord gave him.
     I pray he honors God above all, coming to peace with the uneven and tumultuous cultural and religious exposures he had during his non-traditional childhood.
     Let our President think for himself, as he will be judged for himself. 
     An honest reflection will reveal that the man who 'used' the church to get elected must now live with the consequences and figure out what 'to do' for 2012.
      Me--I left the UCC precisely because I got sick and tired of hearing Progressive Lib Democrat politics literally preached from the pulpit during 'worship'.  It was especially distressful to me since I was a mute on my political standings.  I was a quiet, apolitical moderate-conservative with some liberal social leanings at the time.
     All was fine with me and the UCC until I expressed my opinions.  For such an open and affirming church, they sure live a lie, I quickly learned.
     But oh what a difference an election cycle or two makes!
     Now the 2012 elections are looming.   This is as good a time as any for anyone running for President to declare their true religious affiliations, if any.
      American voters are funny when it comes to their chosen candidates, officials, elections and religion.
      We want them to keep it honest.  We  want them to keep it simple.

Dear Ones:

     The 'eternal and never-ending' controversy about President Obama's 'religion' continues on....endlessly, it seems.      Where there is smoke, there is fire. It's been the story of President Obama's life, in fact.
     I don't know what is truly in our leader's heart at this point and neither can you, dear Readers...or anyone else, except for God Himself, of course.
     But one thing is clear; 'the Prez' is flexible and adaptable...not only when it comes to his religion, but also when it comes to 'parsing the essence of what it means to be an American'.
     What is really in my former-fellow church member's heart (see keywords 'Synod 2007' below for our mutual involvement with the UCC church of the Reverends Jeremiah Wright and Otis Moss, et. al.) is any one's guess at all.
     But it is interesting that our 'leader' is making the effort to 'clean up' his image a bit.
     Can it be that the controversy bothers him? Or is it his 'handlers' insisting upon this image-polishing?
     Can it be that the 'religion controversy' has the potential to harm President Obama's re-election chances in 2012? Can mere 'religion' be that important to American voters?
     You betchya.
     For those who are curious, we are not left without at least some clues if we but study the 'comments section' of articles like the one above.
     Note especially the 'Obama supporters'. The ones who defend him on his controversial religious stance(s) often reject and even revile religion.
     I'm sorry to say this, but President Obama will forever and always be known for the company he keeps and for the behaviors he not only tolerates, but encourages at one time or another. http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2010/02/rahm_emanuel_ap.php 
     Somehow, a staunch group of Obama supporters never miss an opportunity to express their hatred for Conservatives, fundamentalist Christians and especially members of the Tea Party.
     And boy do they have 'Potty Mouth'! (see term 'Tea Baggers' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_bag_(sexual_act)
     Triangulating this to 'hatred for all religion' is but a step away. Worse yet, we have the racial division of Black Liberation Theology. http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=59230 
     Die-hard Obama supporters literally FEAR and HATE anyone not like themselves and they are systematically dismantling the Obama Administration with their close mindedness!  
     While I'm fine with the new direction of the political winds with Republicans regaining their rightful foothold,  I do have some advice for President Obama, which I'm sure he wants about as much as another photo shoot with ____________ (fill-in-the-blank).
     While it's 'nice' that you are at least verbally expressing something of your 'essential spiritual essence', we pray that it's spoken out of the truth you have in you heart and mind and soul.
     We pray that your motives for these new spiritual 'disclosure' stems not just from political motive, but from the depths of your being.
     We pray that you are speaking and doing these things not to please people, but to please God.
     "To thine own self be true", my Mama always said and she wasn't kidding. We pray that this might be the case with our President.
      Perhaps the onerous realities and responsibilities of being President of the United States of America has served to chasten and refine. Perhaps Barack Obama is finally able to see past the 'ambitions of Barry the boy' and onto the 'realities of President Obama the man'.
     Good Christian men and women know how to thank God for all they have and all they are. Maybe our President is as well.  Then again, maybe the President was just 'working the Christmas angle' to his political advantage.
     But what will convince ME of President Obama's true spiritual enlightenment is when he chastises his own enthusiastic supporters.
     The President needs to tell his own to knock off calling everyone and their uncle ugly names like 'racist, bigot, homophobe, etc. at the drop of the hat.  Each time an Obama supporter calls a Tea Party member a 'Tea Bagger', they dishonor only themselves and the President.
     The Tea Party is strong and resilient.  And the world is watching.
     President Obama has a perfect opportunity this 2011 to redeem himself himself by setting a higher standard for himself, his staff and for all his supporters. 
     But will he avail himself of it?
     Perhaps President Obama with his 'newfound Christian inclinations' will show us, his United States citizens, some love.  Perhaps he will discourage his 'name-callers'.
     Clean out your 'Potty Mouths', Mr. President.  And make sure to do it publicly, so we all can see.  Name-calling is silly, anyway.  It irritates only for a minute, is ultimately ineffective, bespeaks poorly of the one engaging in it and worst of all, it's the only thing voters will remember about you!
     Heaven knows there are enough racists, bigots and 'phobes' of all types to go around.  It hardly seems necessary for pro-Obama Progressive-Lib Dems to continue their cheap verbal shots since our Creator knows just who 'is' and who 'isn't' and who's 'struggling'.

    Can our President DO it?  Can he actually somewhat IMPROVE US-Islamic relations?  And, if so..inquiring minds want to know...HOW? Just HOW is he going to accomplish this?
    I think I might have some really constructive suggestions for him, but first we all, President Obama included, need to understand and acknowledge certain 'truths'.
     First of all, his good looks and charming personality are not going to be enough for him or any one of us.  FACT    
     Secondly, he must acknowledge, as must we all, that his latest trip to Indonesia yielded some really very, very bad protests.  These are very powerful protests against not only 'BARRY' as he is known in Indonesia, but also against the US--the American people.  I have a new level of concern I hadn't expected to have as a result of the President's recent trip... and you should too. 
     As sure as I am that President Obama was hurt and hurt badly by the hostile Islamic reception he got by Muslim extremists, I am MORE concerned about the reception he received as it relates to us.  Let's face it, the 'message' our President sends out to the world is important for all of us.

     Lest you think that I am 'over-personalizing' the spiritual connection between myself and our President, I assure you that I am not.  Then-Senator Barack Obama's 'KEYNOTE SPEECH' at our church meeting, SYNOD 2007, resounds ever in my brain.
     You should know that we were connected for 22+ years by being fellow members of the UCC, the Obama/Rev.Jeremiah Wright church.  Probably the First Lady had the MOST contact with the congregation there in Chicago, but she's not the President and isn't talking to Muslim world leaders (...directly and officially, anyway).
     It is BECAUSE of our 'shared UCC experience' that I have an especially 'vested interest' as an American Citizen and non-Muslim Christian in what President Obama has to say about himself and his religious views to the rest of the world. 
     I am especially interested in those views for they affect the well-being of my family, my friends and my brothers and sisters in Christ...considering all the 'religious TERRORISM' directed daily at the United States.
     So thirdly, let's just 'cut to the chase' with my advice for President Obama.  He needs to declare-in no uncertain terms-what his true religion IS and where his spiritual heart lies. 
     Let him check one, two or even 'NONE', if only so that we can know what to expect on the world scene.  This 'religion question' is SO MUCH LARGER than any one person and President Obama needs to realize it now.

     So let our President state ONCE AND FOR ALL if he is: Christian, Muslim, agnostic, atheist, human secularist, none-of-the above, all-of-the-above or whatever.  At this point, I DON'T CARE! 
     Would he merely have us CONTINUE to draw our own conclusions, an act that ramps up the risk for ALL AMERICANS? If so, he puts us all in danger. 
     Don't you agree it is better that our President DECLARE his SPIRITUAL and RELIGIOUS PREFERENCES ONCE AND FOR ALL???
     I do.
     If there are those of you who are 'curious' about what this Christian 'clergyperson' thinks of President Obama, I will tell you, based on my observations and faith.  The President and I are, after all, brother and sister of the same church--unless he's formally resigned from the United Church of Christ, the UCC, that is. 
     I haven't resigned and may never.  My daughter and many friends are members, after all and I'm a little 'long in the tooth'.  I may need a 'burying church', sooner than later! 
     So I'm going to wait for the United Church of Christ to put me in 'stocks' or, maybe, 'dunk me'!  I'll keep you apprised of the situation in case they decide that it'd be more expedient to 'have a burning'...herbalist and visionary that I am...so stay tuned.
     But seriously, to understand my full involvement with the Obama/Wright church check out 'Synod 2007', the 'UCC' and 'FCC Stamford' below.  I was sent AS A VOTING DELEGATE to Synod 2007-despite my protestations- to Hartford in June of 2007 in order to represent my local UCC church.
     And that was the beginning of the end of my 'political naivete' as one of the UCC's 'finest'.
     My local church is "The Pilgrim Church" (that's right!)where the 'first Thanksgiving was held'.  To this day, a Community Thanksgiving Dinner is held for any who wish to partake.
     After first landing in Wethersfield, CT, The First Congregational Church of Stamford was 'gathered' in 1635--pretty old, that.  Things were so 'tough' for the earlier settlers that if not for the Native Americans in the area, they would have died.
     So bad was one winter, that one early Thanksgiving, each church settler was given but FIVE KERNELS OF PLANTING CORN, to EAT or to save for planting.  God Bless our Native Americans for teaching the early settlers to eat what they considered to be 'sea vermin' or 'rats of the sea'--lobster--which was so abundant that it crawled all over the shores of the Long Island Sound, imagine that!
     But I digress and must 'get back to' President Obama's home UCC church.  While 'we' were known as the 'Pilgrim Church Built on the Rock', President Obama's famed Reverend Jeremiah Wright-Reverend Otis Moss-Father Flager-Black Liberation Army church is

     The implications of what you read here is that just as President Obama is not 'black enough' or 'white enough' for some...neither is he, apparently 'Muslim enough' or Christian enough.
     Frankly, I'm surprised that he wasn't completely warmly embraced on his trip to his 'homeland' of Indonesia.  Instead, it appears he's brought the IRE of radical Muslims down even more heavily on ALL of us! 
     Theologically, it is easy to understand why President Obama infuriates so many.   
     The President's Chicago Trinity 'Black Liberation Theology' 'problem' is, I believe, mostly an American one, but the world takes note of it. 
     The whole concept of 'Black Liberation Theology' aka 'BLT' smacks of the KKK and the Aryan Nation philosophies we are all too familiar with. 
     President Obama needs to 'do something', because TOO MANY are being mislead and misinformed about what he really 'is' and what he really 'stands for'.  Surely he can 'fill the bill' by more clearly and definitively defining himself, a simple task if ever there was one.

     As a Grandma, I can see that the President has a large need to 'be liked by all'.  I can identify with his Grandparents, but 'naive little Barry' who believes he can be 'all things to all people' has run his course. 
     This said, I would beg President Obama to impose upon himself a REALITY CHECK and open his eyes to global realities.
     He needs to address his apparent lack of 'devotional fidelity to any one religion or another' so that we will all be safer and more secure here in America.
     The poor guy (yes, I am almost starting to feel sorry for him)is held with suspicion by mainstream Christians, mainstream Muslims and mainstream Jews.  What this tells us is that President Obama needs to declare, once and for all, what his 'spiritual base' really is...if he has one, that is.
     I pray to God that he does and that he is able to imprint his devotional realities--even if he's a non-believer--on his children and family in a meaningful way.
     Michelle Obama is her own person, but the President holds our lives in his very hands by what he says or doesn't say. 
     Simply putting your hands on your chests for the 'Pledge Of America' and repeating 'one Nation under God' is not enough for anyone, nowadays, including American citizens.
     I don't want a 'successful' toner cartridge bomb or something equally malevolent to explode over MY house and over MY loved ones (from all countries and with different religious and cultural backgrounds, I might add).  And so I beg President Obama to 'get it in gear' with our 'safety'.
     No matter what the President or anyone in the world says, we ARE fighting a 'Holy War'..and one not of our own making.  Just look at France and especially ENGLAND for a portent of things to come.
     President Obama is a strong guy and his recent unkind, unfavorable and downright nasty 'reception' by many in his 'beloved homeland Indonesia' is proof positive that he needs spiritual help.
     Whatever tactic he's using now isn't working.  Just read this: "Obama took care in his remarks to note that he is Christian; back home in the U.S., he continues to fight erroneous perceptions that he is Muslim. Obama occasionally studied the Quran and visited a local mosque when he lived here. But he spent hardly any time in the speech discussing Islam or his religious background, except to describe Islam as a "great world religion."      I am concerned because it is no stretch to say that the very well-being of all Americans now hangs on the decisions our President makes.  I sorry to say this...but discussing or not discussing any particular religion will not do you any good, Mr. President. 
    I know that "Indonesia is a part of you", as "the Ukraine" is for me.  But honesty and clarification need to be a part of us also, if we are to do any 'good.
     Be like me and accept the fact that sometimes you CAN'T go home and accept the fact that your 'homeland' may be radioactive.
     I know what I'm talking about. My maternal homeland is not a place I can ever 'go home to again' because it IS radioactive.
     But you, Mr. President, can give United States Service Members a wonderful VETERANS DAY GIFT simply by DECLARING YOURSELF one way or another in this day and age of HOLY WAR and Islamic extremism!
     Why not just DO it?
