     Of course, other prostitutes, concubines, sex slaves and all sorts of sexual activities are elaborated upon in Scripture (listen up you who think the Bible is all irrelevant and boring ramblings of stern old men!).
     In fact, Biblical stories of 'fallen women' are a very powerful reflection of the realities of life of earth...in times past, currently, as well as in the future.
     To write the 'Good Book' off as 'mere arcane and imaginary writings' (as I once did for the first 37 years of my life as a proud atheist/agnostic) is to do it a great injustice.  (Note: You OWE IT to yourself to read the Bible NOW, if you never have before!)
     But I digress....
     Back to the surprising 'stance' of the uber-liberal Harry Reid, I stand with those who simply cannot believe that 'Prince Harry', as Tea Party Patriots call him, is SO up-in-arms about the legal prostitution business in Nevada.
     It boggles the mind that Progressive Lib Dem Harry Reid is actually BLAMING Nevada's financial woes on the 'world's oldest profession'.
     Not only is it 'counter-intuitive', but it smacks of the kind of perverse 'self-righteousness' exhibited by those who consider themselves to be totally 'above the frey'.
     Is Prince Harry SQUAWKING too much because he has something to hide, like the fact that HE and his CRONIES are responsible for not only the pathetic financial state of Nevada, but of the entire U.S.A., itself?
     Is the 'gentleman (ahem) from Nevada' objecting just a little too much?
     I think so. 
     And I think that Harry Reid is barking up a storm over Nevada brothels not so much because he hails from a position of 'high moral import'...but because he craves to be in the spotlight, once again and he'll do whatever it takes to get back there.
     Don't get me wrong-engaging in prostitution has enough negative ramifications.
     Those who do it for a living must face a myriad of consequences and life-impacts that are more often bad than good.
     Prostitution, gambling, booze, drugs, abortion, sexually transmitted diseases and various forms of 'abuse' are always potential cohabitants in the lives of the Bunny Ranch babes and their sisters.
     Family and friends are affected, not to mention 'significant others', if there are any.
     But, at least in Nevada some level of legal regulation is applied to and oversees the prostitution industry, which is more than we can say about the dog-and-pony show we have been forcefully subjected to by Nancy Pelosi and the 'squawking' Prince Harry.
     I don't know what set Reed 'off' here, but I think he's off-base.
     Doesn't he realize that it was Mary Magdalene, that 'fallen-woman-wrongly-branded-as-a-prostitute' by eons of male chauvinist church leaders who first saw the 'empty tomb' and then the Risen Christ?
     Doesn't Harry realize that it was 'the women'--those branded 'sainted' and 'fallen' and those 'in-between' who stayed with Christ under the cross...prepared his body for burial...and then were the first to 'see' him again after resurrection?
     The lesson here is that the way of Jesus is one of understanding, forgiveness and 'rebirth'.
     I urge Prince Harry to 'revisit' these tenets in the religion he claims for himself which is Mormon, also known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
     And as one who has 'worked' with prostitutes with my street and church ministries for many moons, I speak from the soft places of my heart.
     I want to remind my sisters everywhere and whatever they do for a living, that they can, at any time, earnestly pray to 'our God of second chances and new beginnings'...
     And know we will all be heard.

     Perhaps you'll be pleased to know that an announcement 6 hours ago from this publication informs us that Project Affetto is currently 'assembling the torso', so we won't just have a disembodied robo-baby head wobbling around on some lab bench or table top.
     What do you think about all this?  Any thoughts? 
     Is this an enlightened endeavor which can potentially assist in prostheses research, child care and health care 'training' and the like?
     Or is it potentially 'wrong', with the possibility of somehow providing a 'safe' way for certain souls to engage in 'robo-child abuse', as is their nature?
     It is well-established now that those who abuse animals 'go on to' abuse/maim/kill humans. 
     Perhaps the advent of 'lifelike' humanoid robo-technology will likewise provide a 'safe-yet-still-wrong' avenue for abusers, pedophiles, sex offenders and 'perverts' to get their jollies thinking they can do it with 'impunity' with lifelike robots of all types, genders and ages.
     This group will need to be well-heeled, of course, for personal ownership of the lifelike robots Japan is making it something for the very rich at this point. 
     Surely human 'progress' is unrelenting.  I confess to finding myself, after many years of study, doubt and skepticism, carefully supportive of some of the inroads made into robotic technology, in the field of surgery, for instance. 
     As with 'steering ratio' mechanics on cars, robotic surgical devices are configured to 'modulate' the motions of the human hand, thereby 'smoothing out' any shakiness and the occasional 'oops'.
     The risk of mishaps and 'slips' is minimized with robotic surgery in such a way that surgical procedures can be undertaken to the benefit of the patient, which could not be achieved using bare eyes and hands, alone.

     The da Vinci is meeting with tremendous success, with the two caveats that: 1) a capable surgical team is standing by in the event of 'robo-failure' of any sort...And 2) that the surgical robot is under the direct control and supervision of humans, who are the ultimate care givers and decision-makers.

     The field of robotic bioethics is still in it's infancy.  Yet I can foresee a day soon when these 'responsive robots' who are imbued with 'decision-making capabilities' and seemingly true-to-life responses will indeed prove once and for all to have a 'mind of their own'.
     It is potentially possible that as robots become more capable of learning and approach a state of true sentience, that we humans will have our hands full with dealing with the bio and nanoethics of the situation.
     Perhaps a da Vinci will deliberately 'override' the operating surgeons 'command'.  Perhaps a teaching robot will learn to 'experience pain', learn to complain about it and refuse to participate any further in any 'teaching clinics'.   Perhaps a robo-soldier will one day 'refuse a direct order on moral grounds'...Who knows?
     It may be that unscrupulous 'programmers' will provide wanton killers on the battlefield, robo-prostitutes (Japan already has a 'sex doll prostitution' industry) and robo-victims for hire to those who enjoy inflicting pain and suffering on others.
     The field of robotics fairly screams of potential to the black market.  With robo-black box implants and robo-cams, one can only imagine what 'robo-blackmail' will be like, too. 
     Perhaps...could be...there are a lot of possibilities here, both good and bad, as far as lifelike human robots are concerned.
     God give us the grace and discernment to properly use the knowledge and skills He has so graciously given us to benefit all of humankind.

"Watson Announces Important Alert Regarding FDA-Recalled Triad Alcohol Pads Packed With Their Prostate Cancer Drug Trelstar" By Reverend Barbara Sexton "The Biblical Biochemist-Where Science Meets The Cross"

TRELSTAR is a white to slightly yellow lyophilized cake. When reconstituted, TRELSTAR has a milky appearance. It contains a pamoate salt of triptorelin, a synthetic decapeptide agonist analog of gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). The chemical name of triptorelin pamoate is 5-oxo-L-prolyl-L-histidyl-L-tryptophyl-L-seryl-L-tyrosyl-D-tryptophyl-L-leucyl-L-arginyl-L-prolylglycine amide (pamoate salt). The empirical formula is C64H82N18O13 · C23H16O6 and the molecular weight is 1699.9. The structural formula is:

Dear Ones:

     Problems arising from TRIAD alcohol pads and swabs potentially contaminated with Bacillus cereus continue on.  Please note that the manufacturers of all the injectables involved in these recalls maintain that the drugs, themselves, are SAFE!
     It is imperative that patients NOT USE the Triad alcohol prep pads included with injectables, in this case for Trelstar aka triptorelin pamoate for injectable suspension. 
     Trelstar is a form of 'hormone therapy' for prostate cancer.  In the common vernacular, it is an agent of 'chemical castration'. 
     Specifically, Trelstar is a Gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist, which means it 'mimics' natural GnRH  and is capable of 'blocking' GnRH receptors in the brain. 
     (Yes...the 'brain' really IS our major sex organ as I have said many times before, a concept which is finally enjoying the attention it deserves from my 'traditionally-oriented' colleagues.

     Trelstar (or a similar GnRH agonist) 'fools' brain receptors into thinking all of it's GnRH receptors are being 'blocked' by the 'real thing'.
     The pituitary thus becomes 'stimulated' and it's secretion of FSH and LH eventually decreases.  This, in turn, ultimately causes the testes to produce less testosterone, as well as reducing PSA levels.* (please see my note below)
         Many cases of prostate cancer respond positively to efforts to decrease testosterone and this is why Trelstar is as useful as it is as a pharmaceutical option in prostate cancer treatment.
     According to the data Watson shows, Trelstar, in fact, is extremely effective:

Mean testosterone level of 12.8 ng/dL in months 2 through 122

Triad Group is recalling the alcohol prep pads packaged with products, including Watson’s Trelstar® (triptorelin pamoate for injectable suspension) product, due to potential contamination of the pads with the bacteria, Bacillus cereus, which could result in life threatening infections, especially in at-risk populations, including immune suppressed and surgical patients.

The Company emphasized that there is no potential contamination of the Trelstar product, the MIXJECT® system or components in the Trelstar packaging, other than the Triad alcohol prep pad. The Trelstar drug and the MIXJECT® system have not been affected in any way.

Watson has ceased shipments of Trelstar packaging components that incorporate the Triad alcohol pad while it pursues options to remove or replace the prep pad. Convenience kits will not be available in Trelstar commercial packages until new convenience kits incorporating a replacement alcohol prep pad are available for distribution in March 2011. The Company also noted that it was cooperating fully with the FDA, and notifying its customers.

Watson instructs customers to immediately discontinue the use of the Triad alcohol prep pad included in the Trelstar convenience kit and to appropriately dispose of the entire convenience kit. The Company also recommends customers use an alternative alcohol prep pad product that is not involved with this recall, or to use a sterile gauze pad in conjunction with isopropyl alcohol as an alternative. Both prep pads and gauze should be available at your local pharmacy.

     The last thing a prostate cancer patient needs is any kind of infection at an injection site, especially with all the hot-flashes you have to contend with. 
     So please take care with the alcohol prep pads you may be using at this time!
     If anything 'good' can be gleaned from this Triad situation, it is this: for once, health care professionals are finally advising that isopropyl alcohol and a sterile gauze pad are all it takes to cleanse an injection site.
      Who knows?  Maybe common sense will prevail and health care cost-savings may be realized in some small way with this Triad alcohol prep pad and swab stick recall.
     Alcohol prep pads are not all that expensive in and of themselves.  But when they are fanci-packed in so-called 'Convenience Kits',  packaging costs can sky-rocket, for patients, hospitals and in this case, for the drug-manufacturers themselves.

     It's not often that I will use the word 'honest' with anything 'progressive-lib Dem', but here I am.  Here film maker  Davis Guggenheim (known for his "An Inconvenient Truth") gets it right.  FINALLY, what I have been saying about the 'dumbing down' of our kids through our school systems for a l-o-n-g---t-i-m-e is DOCUMENTED in a most poignant and heartbreaking way.

"It's the age old debate. How do we keep our kids in school and keep them motivated when it's hard enough to get them to class?. Once there, as the film points out, they've got a 50-50 chance that their teacher will actually be a decent teacher. According to Guggenheim, the system is so broken, bad teachers are allowed to stay, even if it's been proven they are performing poorly in the classroom. Everybody knows who they are, but there's nothing administrators can do. The film points to union contracts and tenure, saying they often give teachers a solid spot in the classroom. Good or bad."      Yes, it's rough stuff, but healing must begin with a purging and cleansing of all PUTRID MATTER before healthy 'tissue' growth can occur and flourish and replace the bad. This movie may well be a part of that process for our school systems, on a national as well as on a local level.
     But we'll just have to wait and see if anyone is actually MOTIVATED TO ACTION.
     Inertia seems to 'rule the day' when it comes to BIG AND INTIMIDATING ALBATROSSES such as TEACHERS and other UNIONS.
     The bottom-line is that people are SCARED of the UNIONS and are scared of making WAVES with UNIONS.
     It's sad, really. During my poor childhood years, Pop was always a blue-collar champion of employee working conditions as an independent safety engineer.
     I keep in me to this day his horror stories of avoidable foundry accidents, amputation injuries, machinery malfunctions, etc to the point that I didn't want to eat a hot dog or lick an envelope ever again and that was the least of it!
     Over and over, my blue-collar Dad emphasized how 'the UNIONS' were there to 'protect the guys'. Unfortunately, I also overheard him discussing the INTIMIDATION against company bosses and their properties. After one-too-many 'spiking' stories, I began to have nightmares that my own father would be hurt, himself by getting mixed up in a scuffle.
     He wasn't, because he was roundly well-liked, but what did I know? Dad fought his heart out for what he believed in--and as his first 'son', I was taught to do so also.
     UNIONS CAN DO SO MUCH GOOD, PEOPLE!  USE THE POWER YOU HAVE TO DO SO NOW.  BE BRAVE AND TAKE ACTION AND HAVE THE COURAGE OF YOUR CONVICTIONS, ALL OF YOU...AND ESPECIALLY YOU TEACHERS' UNIONS MEMBERS!
      I suppose the timing couldn't be any better for this film 'WAITING FOR SUPERMAN' to be achieving the notoriety it has. 
     Speaking of Unions and 'intimidation', even here in Stamford, CT, controversy has arisen over the use of a book "It's Perfectly Normal" in the Stamford school system.  You can read about this graphic sex book which found it's way into the reading bins of TEN YEAR OLDS here:

     I'd love nothing better than to be able to officially inform all Stamford parents and other taxpayers that "It's Perfectly Normal" has not and will not reach the hands of any students too young to be able to handle such a graphic sex book.  But, alas, no one has been forthcoming, so all I can ask is, "Parents, do you know what's in your child's reading bin?"
     It has been brought to my attention that any CONCERNED PARENTS, TEACHERS and other TAXPAYERS can attend a Community Forum on Sept 30, 2010 at Westover Magnet School at 7:00 pm with their questions/comments. 

     The Stamford School System and I go way back--32 years, to be exact, and all I can say is 'Thank God for (the old) SACRED HEART'!
     I may not be one to 'wait for Superman'...but I wouldn't mind waiting on some fierce LEADER-TYPE noble educators to 'smarten up' and start organizing for their students instead of for their selves.
     'Organizations' never do any good--it's the brave and selfless souls in them who do it and and, boy, do we need some now.

Dear Readers:
     Recently, it was brought to my attention that this book, "It's Perfectly Normal" has been chosen by the Stamford School System as a 'textbook' for our public school children.
     Now...I'm no 'prude', but I have to be v-e-r-y careful with what I put on my  blog here...because I must maintain a 'family friendly site'. 
     Although I discuss an exorbitant amount of POLITICS, GAY SEX, RELIGION and FUNDING, this is the FIRST TIME EVER that I've had difficulty formatting an article and related images due to the sexual content of--a children's book, of all things.  It is a book by a Planned Parenthood aficionado named  Robie Harris.
     Call me old-fashioned, but we're talking full frontal and 'rearal' nudity that I can't even show you here!     Ironically, it's all over this 'CHILDREN'S BOOK', "IT'S PERFECTLY NORMAL"!    If the choice of this book as a literacy text strikes you as 'odd', you're in good company and I urge you to email me at BarbaraKSexton@aol.com, and/or leave a public comment below and be sure to contact the Stamford School System Administrators no matter what you do (email below).
     I think the video I've chosen below will pass muster for 'PG decency' so you can get an idea of this book which has been so very controversial for years now.  You may even be a little shocked.
     But when it comes to REAL shock value....STAMFORD has got other school systems BEAT! 
     You see, this book, "It's Perfectly Normal" has been chosen as a LITERACY TEXTBOOK in Stamford Public Schools for FIFTH GRADERS!
     Yep!  Not for sex ed or science...this prurient little masterpiece (prurient for little 10 year olds and below, that is) is destined for LITERACY coursework for grade-schoolers.  You hear right--'For LITERACY'.
     This 'literacy' textbook choice was made on behalf of all of us taxpayers in Stamford.  Any teachers refusing to use the book are under threat of being fired.  Any parent wishing to 'opt out'...well, they just won't have that option.
     Also, any parent or anyone who may not be in agreement with the PRO-GAY, PRO-ABORTION preaching of our sex tome here, likewise, need not expect that their opinions are being considered.  It is obvious that the opinions of moderate-to-conservative parents and other taxyers are simply being ignored in Stamford, CT.  The choice has been made and the Board of Ed knows best.
      Say what you will about this literacy text book choice made by Mary Jennings, Administrator, Board of Education (e-mail: mjennings@ci.stamford.ct.us ) under the direction of Dr. Joshua P. Starr, Superintendent jstarr@ci.stamford.ct.us , it's sure to be fascinating to the ten years olds (and their younger siblings) who manage to get their hands on it.
     I don't know what is going on in Administrator Jennings and Superintendent Starr's mind using a graphic sex book as a 'literacy tool'.  From what I understand, it is a 'done deal', so parents be on the look-out for some interesting reading material coming home soon -if they let the kids take their copies of 'It's Perfectly Natural' home, that is.
     To me it's just a really, really weird choice and other books just as interesting, could have been chosen to...er...'promote literacy'.  I just don't get why Stamford chose one with so many graphic images.  Seriously.  
     Shock value?-yes.  Good judgement?-no.  Oh, the students will remember this one, alright.
     It's bad enough that education has been 'dumbed down' for our children and now we have this, too.  Whatever 'innocence' the may yet have, should be preserved for as long as possible.  What's with all this 'sexualizing of young children in grade school'? 
     No, it is NOT true that all ten year olds are ready to be propagandized by the progressive-lib's and their 'take' on all things related to carnal knowledge.  Is it asking too much for our EDUCATORS to keep their personal POLITICS out of the lives of our YOUNG CHILDREN? 
    NOT all 10 year olds are engaging in sex regularly.  No matter how progressive-lib Democratic educators try to extrapolate their sociomedically 'skewed data' generated these days, it just doesn't correlate for all of Stamford's public schoolers.  We and our families are not all the same.        
     So, dear educators:  you may have succeeded in  'dumbing down our kids across the board', but you will not 'sleaze it up' for them no matter how hard you try. 
     We know you 'can't resist trying to cultivate them  when they're young--under the guise of 'doing what's in their best interest, of course.
     But it won't work.  As the children mature under the strong tutelage of their loving parents and guardians, they will discern the truth for themselves.
     Older siblings will 'spill the beans' over that 'funky book their kid brother or sister is reading in 'literacy'.
    When they do, dear educators, they won't be complimenting you...they'll be dissing you. 
     They'll be dissing you for giving this age-inappropriate book to children in an inappropriate setting, your selfish reasons being obvious.
     I stay current with CDC and WHO health and education stats as a biochemist, so if feel free to challenge me 'epidemiologically' if you choose to.
