Rev Barb's favorite Easter Basket in front, a handmade gift from Regina Perry-Hi Sweetheart!
HAPPY EASTER, ONE AND ALL!
I can't offer you a better greeting on this joyous day than to say that I pray with hope with all my heart that you are walking close to the Lord. I pray that if you have any doubts or concerns or reservations, that they may be banished from you forever...starting with this glorious Spring Day!
It's a good time to get baptized by water, if you have not been. If you live in Fairfield County, email me and I will baptize you with water from the Jordon River. If you would like an oil-anointing for blessing, healing, or anything else, I have olive oil from the Holy Land. I even have the very same oil of spikenard the woman 'with the long hair' anointed Jesus's feet with (why I keep my hair long : ) and water from Lourdes for you to receive.
Jesus Anointed at Bethany6While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, 7a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
8When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. 9"This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor."
10Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. 12When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her." Matthew 26:6-13 (NIV)
God Bless you this Easter and always.
With Love in Christ,
Reverend Barbara Sexton
