Dear Ones:Have you ever had a nagging feeling that 'something just was not right'? Or that something 'needed to be done'? Sure you have and so have I.
This conundrum can pertain to anything from mundane, everyday situations, to ones that are truly emergent, and, in worst cases, are truly threatening to our very way-of-life. Just look at the state of things in Washington and across the country and you will see just what I mean!
I'm telling you right now that the extent to which an individual is willing to act on something is known only to him or her and God. It is a deep secret...tested in the worst of times. It can be our shame, our glory or something in-between, but it's always there with us as the legacy we leave behind.
Recently, the younger generation came to me asking me to get involved in things and I said, 'Yes'. I'm glad I did. I attended the Tax Day Rally in Greenwich and it renewed my faith in all that is good about America.
NOW, dear readers, is your time to GET UP and STAND UP. Click here: http://www.gstpp.org/ and see how easy it is to get in on the action of the GREENWICH-STAMFORD TEA PARTY PATRIOTS. You will be so glad you did.
Maybe you'll join us APRIL 24th, SATURDAY MINI TEA PARTY Ferguson Library Plaza 12-2pm . We are a peaceful, thoughtful movement. I would not be involved in it if it were otherwise. And the Greenwich-Stamford Tea Party Patriots is comprised of everyone--Republican, Democrat, unaffiliated voters of all races, religions, and so forth, a truly 'inclusive movement'.
The GSTPP provides an opportunity to responsibly and respectfully share your opinions if you are tired of standing by idly. I am asking you to join us.
Make some signs. Pass out flyers. Ask a question. Even just stand there and maybe start a conversation with someone near you. We need to expand our numbers. The more we educate, the more people will wake up and get off the couch like the rest of us have.
I did it. I've made a conscious decision to get politically active for the first time in many, many years and it feels good. I thought that remaining 'apolitical' would make it less likely that the powers-that-be would rail against Conservatives such as myself. I was wrong; all my political inaction did was give the Progressive-Libs in my life free rein to confuse my kindness for stupidity!
Don't let this happen to you anymore either. Any and all action on your part will make a tremendous difference come Election Day. Do things proudly, boldly and bravely and just see the things we can make happen in this One Nation Under God. Let the healing of our Land begin!
You'll be amazed.
God Bless You and God Bless America,
Rev Barbara Sexton
