Waaaaaay back on Feb 15, I wrote a piece on the risk of major earthquake occurring in California as a result of the recent 'uptick' in seismic activity which scientists and newspeople seem so eager to either ignore, downplay or dismiss.
From: http://dearoneshealingministry.blogspot.com/2010/02/tutorial-for-feb-15-2010-solar-and.html I said,
(quote)
"For those of you with kin in California and elsewhere, take note! You can check the seismic data for yourself here also: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_all.phpn(endquote)
I proceeded to list all the recent 'minor California quakes' occurring in such rapid succession as to stun the observer. (Well, I was 'stunned' anyway!) But, still, no one came forward from the seismological community to publicly state the obvious: that this series of California quakes could likely bring on the BIG ONE, there.
So I did, with numerous blog pieces and tweets. Finally, it seems that my prayers have been answered and it may be that that job has been taken over for me.
Alas, below are the first articles I've found from real seismologists (as opposed to myself, a biochemist 'playing' one) willing to state the scientifically obvious. Please take the time to read them, if you have loved ones in that area and then alert them.

Experts: L.A. Quake Fault "Capable of Massive Temblor" Mar 18

As usual, I do not expect that the government or anyone else will give you timely advice about things out west...But I am willing to stick my neck out and if and when I think California is on the precipice of a huge temblor problem and I will let you know, if I can. I will also put on my 'magic seismologist's hat' and tell you my best guess as to where you and your loved ones should evacuate to.
This said, I sure do hope and pray that I don't have to do that, however. I hope and pray some brave seismologists will take that risk and blog and twitter and tweet their impressions of things to come, unless they want some crazy Reverend woman to scoop them.
The truth is, I'd rather just post others' work on this blog re: seismic and celestial events so I can concentrate on what I know best!
For you in Christ,

One of my favorite gizmos in the whole world is below, no, seriously : ) Use it to find all biological stains and secretions: urine, poop, throw-up, etc., etc. Pet-owners, take note. Also fun to teach kids about fluorescent minerals and stuff:
