Now take a look at the Auroral Power Input. Right now it's at 7.00GW. This number reflects the GigaWatts of Power hitting the earth as a result of energy emitted in power input units from the sun:
Now take a look at a map of solar event activity (flare activity) for today"
Next, note this graph below of x-rays hitting the earth as measured in Boulder, CO:
And let us look at 'Plasma' activity:
Finally, a take a peek at the B field graph:
These indicators are not as intense as they were before the recent series of Haitian, then Japanese and then Chilean earthquakes...but they do bear watching. Keep these 'baseline' (though fairly active in and of themselves) graphs in mind when for when I update this.
I almost forgot--solar activity have been 'very low' for at least a week now and we are 'due'--that's my opinion, anyway. Check out solar events here: http://solarmonitor.org/index.php I'll go so far as to predict that the next substantial increase in solar activity will, indeed, result in more earthquake and tsunami activity on earth in the next two weeks. We'll see.
