Yeah, that's our Frannie. Her 'parents' lost their house and so we took her in. The moment I saw this LARGE BALL of fluff and love, with her crossed-eye, teddy-bear face, front pigeon-toes, back duck feet and her hunchback...well, it was love at first sight.
What a sweetheart she is. Frannie has a metabolic challenge, yes, but we are prayerfully working to have her around for a long time. I light candles and pray for animals, just as I do for all the persons in need of healing.
It's so difficult for an adult pet to be 'given up' or 'dumped' or to have never known a decent life at all. Our companion animals give us so much love and ask for so very little. But the Stamford Care and Control Center is FULL.
You, too can have find and save a wonderful companion animal at Stamford Animal Care and Control: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/CT111.html

We believe that “space” is an unacceptable reason to kill animals. Adoptions and referrals help us to remain a no-kill shelter. In 2006, we became the 1st Connecticut municipal shelter to add the word “Care” to our title. (Rev Barb note: YAY!!!!)
Save a life. Please consider adoption.

Your adoption rescues the animal you take home & gives an opportunity for a new beginning to the one who takes its place."

For you catlovers out there, maybe you would adopt 'Snickers'
If you adopt Snickers or any other 'special needs' animal, let me help. E-mail me at BarbaraKSexton@aol.com and I will help you from an alternative and natural medicine standpoint with advice (no charge ever, of course, for any serious medical conditions). Alternative Medicine works so very well for animals and I urge you to call upon me!
I know that ANIMAL WELFARE VOLUNTEERS are the unsung heroes of 'kindness, compassion, sentience and salvation' for the littlest and weakest amongst us. People who love animals, love people. Conversely, those who care about their fellow humans tend to have a true regard for all living beings...And that is what matters at the end of the day.
God Bless the beasts and the children,
Reverend Barbara Sexton
