William Kaluta Photography
Dear Ones:
My brother William Kaluta has been kind enough to provide me with some of his photographs and photographic art to use on my http://www.dearoneshealingministry.blogspot.com/ While playing around with one of his photos, he sent me the above image. Little did he know that he'd inadvertently come up with a pretty good 'representation' of some creatures mentioned in Scripture--specifically in Ezekiel in the Old Testament of the Bible and in Revelation of the New Testament.
Anyone who reads Ezekiel and Revelation and similar passages knows that visualizing what is being described is no easy task. Even with an imagination as fertile as mine and despite the life and death experiences I've experienced, there are still many concepts and word-pictures that are best taken 'on-faith', less we dare to second-guess the Greatness and Glory of our God and his creations.
Still...there are some interesting images in the photo above which relate quite nicely to the 'creature quardians' described in Ezekial and in Revelation by John. We don't know if the creatures in each book are one and the same, but we can agree that they have similarities.
These creatures are 'angelic beings' whose job it is to guard God's throne and lead in worship and adoration. Revelation describes them as 'all seeing' with many eyes: "In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings." Rev 4:6-8 (NIV)
READ THE COMPLETE PASSAGE BELOW:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%204&version=NIV In Ezekiel, we read: "...in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was that of a man, 6 but each of them had four faces and four wings. 7 Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. 8 Under their wings on their four sides they had the hands of a man. All four of them had faces and wings, 9 and their wings touched one another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved.
10 Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a man, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle. 11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out upward; each had two wings, one touching the wing of another creature on either side, and two wings covering its body." Eze 1:5-11 (NIV)

I see some elements described in the photo above...Do you? This is a good opportunity to read a couple of 'little read' Scripture passages right now. In this moment of reflection, I pray that God opens all our hearts and minds in a way like He never has before, so that we may truly claim to be His sons and daughters.
With God's Blessings in mind,
